What: A mission-based, objective-driven, multi-scenario airsoft competition that prizes teamwork, preparation, and solid tactical coordination.

When: April 2nd 2005

Where: The luxurious and super-duper cool ACO CQB Facility!

Directions:
I96 westbound - Exit #73 (Grand River Exit) - Right/East on Grand River Avenue - Left/North on Keefer Hwy for about 6 miles - Keefer will turn into Libhart and Libhart will turn into Bridge (you will never have to turn once you're on Keefer Hwy). The building will be on your left-hand side on the corner of Bridge and Edward. If you go over the Grand River, you just passed it.

Why: How many times have you gone to an airsoft scenario and been lumped on a team with a bunch of yahoos who just wanted to run around and shoot stuff? How many times have you wanted your own team to stand or fall based solely on your own merits? How many times have you wanted to show your stuff in a competitive manner without having to worry about all the cheating, bitching, and trash-talking that is usually associated with it? How many times have you wanted to play in an event where all of the time you spent training as a team actually paid off?

Admission for this event will be $25 per person.

All of the Missions for CQB Challenge are designed for teams of 8, though smaller and larger teams may participate. Larger teams are penalized for having extra manpower, smaller teams get a bonus for accomplishing their objectives short-handed. That said, some of the Missions will be extremely difficult for small teams (5 or less) to accomplish. If you have a small team, you may want to consider joining forces with another small team in order to make a larger force.

Mission details will be posted soon such that teams can begin their planning well in advance of the event.

Just a question, I know the site sais 18+, but me and some fellows were wondering if that age limit has changed in light of recent events, or will remain the same. Please dont feel the need to get sarcastic or medieval. Thank you.

Do not be confused with ACO under 18 insurance statement. The last thing we need is every op that is posted to be filled with "is this one under 18?" i understand that you are all eager and excited but any ops that are all ages will clearly state that they are, so there is no confusion. As for now the under 18 is a temporary rider. Remember this is a GK event.

A signup page will be up shortly. We're trying to set it up such that you only have to register once for your team, rather than individually. It'll make it easier to keep track of who's participating and what team they represent. It should be up soon, and as soon as it is, we'll update this page with a link.

For those teams planning to attend who like to speed-read the rules, like most of my team does, I'd like to point out a very important one that is a small change from the norm-

"Ammunition Limits: This is a MilSim/TacSim event. As such, ONLY standard magazines and low-capacity (i.e. STAR) magazines may be used."

It would suck to show up without proper equipment.

This event isn't far away. If your team is like ours you might be a little light on teammates with an acceptable amount of low capacity magazines. Now is the time to order a package of Star Mags. That's assuming you don't have a bunch of G36C's and CA33's on your team like we do.
