All i can say is that anyone that didnt attend this one missed out big time, the variety of gameplay kept you on your toes at all times. thank you GK for putting this all together you guys rock. And also the next time you guys say "it's possible to go through this mission without firing a shot" i will know to expect the worst.... ;D Gunslinger, i will get you back for all the torcher that you put me threw, and for the pic. but it's all good. ;D i also wanted to thank ACO for playing OPFOR, you guys never make it easy, and thats what i like. and too all of my brothers of the MIAIRSOFTCORPS (MAC) the teamwork and unity that we showed yesterday lets me know we definately made the right choice with the alliance between Socom, Defcon, and Rat Pack to form (MAC). And to MTASC and TAC-02 i will be looking forward to another challenging day of scenerios to defend our title. anyone else that attends the next one all i can say is bring it hard and bring it fast. hopefully GK will make this a Bi-annual event... ;Dhint hint

Once again most of my teammates steal all the thunder by mentioning everything ahead of me. I would still like to thank ACO for the building, and I would especially like to thank GK for one of the best airsoft experiences I've had to date.
Heavy thanks go out to Tac-02 and MTASC for coming out. Damn you Devil Dog and your anticipation of shadow movements! ;D
My own personal highlight was the stealth missions. I didn't go unscathed in any of them, but those missions were a hell of a good time. Thanks again!

First off, congrats to MAC!! They did an awesome job!
As allways, GK put on an awesome event!! For those that didn't attend, maybe you'll be ther enext time!! With all the different scenarios, MTASC learned what need to be worked on!! And next time, we'll listen to Frostee's advice!!!!
Let me tell you Wookie.. had you been 2 seconds earlier, I wouldn't have seen you!! Next tiem wear you track shoes instead of you tennis shoes!! ;D
It was a great day and I can't wait to play with MAC and TAC-02 again... You guys are great!!!
I agree with Hawkeye.. hopefully this can be made into a annual or biennial event! Maybe we'll do a summer one up here so GK and ACO can join in the fun and show everyone what they have!!

A few highlights from the day- Got there real early to get ourselves set for the day. Finally met Pathfinder for the first time in person. M-TASC brought their full complement. Put a face to a name by meeting DevilDog too. Talisman must have been assigned as psyops. He was always there in the staging area to remind us how bad we were going to be beaten. The psyops must have had an effect because we really didn't expect to come away as the winning team, knowing the caliber of the competition. TAC-02 was switched from playing Opfor to competing. That had to be a bitch with only four guys. They met the challenge head on despite. First up was a game of defence against the Opfor. The first 2 minutes were pretty tense since nobody entered! Come to find out the Opfor didn't get the word that game was on. Once they did though, hard and fast was the saying of the day. Dutch tried blowing his team up by missing his first grenade toss upstairs. Luckily for them they're used to adversity, that and they are all fast movers! Five minutes of repeated onslaught was all we could withstand though. It seemed like a lot less than 5 minutes when you're under such intense fire. After being briefed by another board celebrity that I hadn't met yet, Motown, we completely got our asses handed to us by Carl "Fisheye" Hayes, Raymond "Big Ray" Williams and one of their sidekicks (Jacko and Bigmack played Carl and Raymond). Three guys killed our team of 6 "crack" detroit cops. A bullet in the head seemed to be the best option to get these guys to surrender. For the second mission we played, Murphy took the same open slot he did in the prior game, but fortunately Lady Luck stepped in to fill the other. Our team just about got completely wiped out during the entry. Then, just to add insult to injury, one of those dastardly ACO Opfor tossed a grenade into our midst. Lady Luck noticed our predicament and used the momentum of the bouncy rubber dummy grenade to bounce it completely out the door we entered! She must have died covering it with her body though, because she wasn't present for the rest of that scenario. Off to the pairs shooting. We again received the pleasure of instruction by Mandor and Frosty. The most interesting thing we learned was that if you shoot a picture of a police officer who very closely resembles the look of a scumbag criminal the first words out of your mouth are likely to be "AWE FUCK!" That and Wookie has a predisposed hesitation in shooting dogs, but Hawkeye doesn't. The individual shooting proved to us the value of preparation and having good equipment. We cost ourselves time with fumbled mag changes, empty mags, pistol holsters that didn't retain the pistols during high speed maneuver, and weapons set up with barrels too short to hit long range targets. We got yelled at frequently during the course. It was great. ;D The highlight of the entire day had to be the night missions though. If you ever wanted to play Metal Gear Solid in real life this game was your chance. The Opfor even had the dialog memorized- Wookie shoots an Opfor who goes down with a muffled "UMPH", in the background you hear one of the guards pacing their course excitedly say "What was that?" "Did you hear something?" As somebody else mentioned, you could practically see the exclamation point above his head! It was all I could do to keep from laughing my ass off and giving us all away! I've got to say that for me personally it seems like each one of these games keeps getting better and better. The sportsmanship was absofuckinglutely unparalleled. I don't recall hearing a single person complaining about uncalled hits for once. Being a "competition" that was my biggest fear for ruining the day. The missions were well thought out, very challenging, and the actors couldn't have played their part better. I don't think I've ever spent a better $25 in my life than the fun value I got from this event. Thanks a lot to all the persons who put the time, effort, and money to host. You guys did very well indeed. ;D

I'm glad to hear that so many people had a great time. I got a good amount of video and pictures for Mission 1, the High Risk Warrant Service. I was the meth lab's accountant, so I got a great first had look at all the goings on. The view from my accountin' table as a team breaches the drug lab. Wookie takes a look around. Hmm, he's made a mistake by assuming the door he just walked past had been cleared. Referee extraordinaire Motown to his right. Mere seconds after this photo was taken, Wookie was killed in what was perhaps the funniest knife kill I've ever seen. Who did it? It was Carl "Fisheye" Hayes, better known to some as Jacko. This was one sneaky-ass meth lab-running criminal. In this run-through, I believe he was captured and handcuffed. Later, team TAC-02 made a run of this mission. They were the only team to exit the scenario alive. Here, two of the slain TAC members discuss mistakes made while a sole survivor stalks the facility for the last meth dealer (not shown). I've got a bunch of movies recorded, but they're in bad shape so I have to do a little digital magic to fix 'em up. This one gem, however, bears posting: it's the above-mentioned grenade duel between Wookie and Redneck Samurai. It was ten paces and turn, followed by teh funnay! (right click, save as, 2.6MB)

For those of you who were curious, the rubber grenades we used for this event can be purchased from Armorcast. Thanks to those of you who came out for this event. We had a blast running it, and we were glad that you guys enjoyed it. I have to say that as a spectator, the "stealth" missions were hysterical to watch. In all of the missions I watched, teams transitioned from stealth and quiet to speed and violence very smoothly once an alarm had been raised. And hats off to MTASC, who managed to ghost Mission 6 ("The Gauntlet") without raising the alarm. Several of the OpFor guys commented to me that you guys must have practiced your double-tapping before the event. Very well done. And for those of you who missed this Op, or if you played at it and want to do similar stuff again, be sure to check out the Sunday session of Operation Powder Burn in two weeks. NILEFOX has similar stuff planned, and once again GK will be playing as OpFor for the missions.

I had an absolute blast. I can think of no better way to get introduced into airsoft than getting dead a lot as a meth dealer and an Iraqi. ;D
Thanks to Zorak and Enkidu for loaning me better weapons.

Thanks for the compliment on The Gauntlet, Munin.... That mission ruled!
Was rather funny... Prior to the beginning of the night missions, we had a team conference. We knew that it was a close run for the winner, so we knew we had to do 2 perfect runs to guarantee our place in history. Our run of the gauntlet, in my opinion, was as close to perfect as we would have been able to get...
Then Tali blew all those points on the next mission. Eh, win some and lose some, I suppose ;-p
Anyways - Was a great event... I had a lot of fun down there! I've never been a big fan of CQB as a whole, but this really takes the cake... the variety offered throughout the day kept you guessing. And for those of you that weren't there - Don't be fooled.... this stuff was HARD!
Savage - On the Psyops thing, I'd just like to clarify - all of that was in jest... I'm sure you know that, but I need to say it anyways =) You guys have a special place in my book, as one of the best, well established, honorable teams, and all around great guys... I've never had a problem with any of you, aside from some of the friendly fire at previous ops. I guess we should go back to wearing alpenflage =D
