Gents, I'd have to say this was the best op i've been to to date. Thanks go out to everyone involved, the atmosphere was great. I wont go into details about what was great, because it's already been covered. Everything worked just about perfect! Special thanks go out to frostee for the organization, Ryan for setting stuffs up, and mandor for the instructional session - It was *really* neat to play with an officer and get instructed in the basics by one of america's finest! I'd also like to thank munin and his parents for post-op hospitality... That was great, and like I said, if ya ever need anything... But I'm not a freakin hippie.

It was a great time, and I had an equally good time talking with folks after the scenario was over. Your feedback on events is what helps us make them better! A big thanks to everyone who could make it out. ;D

Well I really did want to go to this op but with everything thats been happening north of the bridge for me(new job etc) I acctually forgot the game was coming up so quickly. To be honest till I read this thread right now I didn't know I missed it:) Though there is some good news the next game down there I will likely go to as I have weekends off and some spare cash at the moment. So now I'll be back to making the 9 hour trip down and buying guns in commerce yet again:) Yay for me:)

Thanks for the compliment, Mandor. (I'm Jason.) As a long-time role player, annoying the cops in the holding area felt like just as much a part of the op as hiding in the woods did.
This was my first airsoft op and I had a blast. Thanks much to GK and ACO.

Wheeee-ooo!
I'll save the thanking crap till last. Let's hit one the interesting stuff first!
Wow, is all I can say about the day's first scenario. It turned out amazingly well, and it was tons of fun. I really appreciated the chance to just go out, screw around, and have fun being a psychotic hilbilly. The first time Dueling Banjos started up...totally classic, I was trading fire with some po-lice at the time, and the music hit...just a great moment. Sitting in the "paddywagon" with all my teammates towards the end of the scenario was great too...and Gabe's hostage situation...priceless. The law dogs showed some great organization, and good strategy in completely eliminating us, hats off to them.
The second scenario was most amusing, as Munin, Zorak, and I got shot out early along with 3 of ACO's guys...and never got rescued by a medic...it was most excruciating hearing that a medic was en route...only to have the very group that shot us out roll back into the area and engage our medic...d'oh.
The third game was a great time too, seeing a brilliant move by Munin, Selnaric, and Zorak allowing us to roll up the enemy's flank and basically eliminate all resistance. I had a great time running all over the place during this one, supporting whomever needed help, whenever my SD5 was needed.
The final game...well, more of the same. Munin and I snuck up to the tanks from the North, and I crossed the road there, only to hear full-automatic fire open up...behind me (!)...leading to a mad dash into the woods. Then, it was just a matter of making my way around the rear and harassing the troops there for a while until mass reinforcements arrived, forcing me to abandon my position and regroup with Munin...in doing so, we almost shot each other, as I sprinted back across the road, and almost on top of Munin as he was performing his medic duties on Ryan...we both shot, and as Munin said, "Boy, it's good we both suck."
Hado and Luke, you were both definitely missed.
Ok...now, the thanks part:
All my GK teammates, and the folks from ACO's Detachment Delta...you all put on a great show yesterday...if you've stopped patting yourselves on the back, please resume. You deserve it.
Bill from 21CA - a big thanks for the extra publicity. I must say, my jaw dropped when your motorhome pulled in with several vehicles full of players in tow.
Mandor - thanks for giving us all a little perspective, and giving the LE team a bit more realism in their arrest attempts. I think that did as much for making First Strike a great op as anything else...hearing the LE folks yelling every time they encountered someone was great, and added a whole new element to the game.
To Everyone that showed up - without the players, a great op can't happen. Thanks for giving us the chance to show you a good time. I've gotta say that the entire LE team did a great job playing their roles...something I was unsure of going into the op...great job guys!
Those of you that experienced First Strike as your first op, congratulations on making it through your baptism of fire...I'm sure we all hope you're hooked, and that we'll see you regularly.
Those that couldn't make it, for whatever reason, take solace in knowing it's just the first big game of the season, there's plenty more to come, and they'll (hopefully) only get better.
Thanks again guys! Look forward to seeing you all (and more!) again soon!
oh...ps
...shut up, ya freakin' hippie.

Allow Biggie to run down his experiences: First operation: I guarded the Bad Guy base with Merrick for about 40 minutes or so... fire errupts to the West. Biggie goes to check it out, takes a wounded law dog prisoner. After dropping the law dog at base, another Law Dog was delivered... two hostages at base with Merrick. Biggie then heads back West to meet up with his GK teammates. Within seconds, a heavy rush of lawmen (and women!) overwhelm the 5 of us. we were quickly taken prisoner and lead to the LD prisoner corral. (While being obnoxious rednecks the whole way! ;D ) After getting there, we proceeded to be obnoxious prisoners... A few ACO guys drew some attention and we had a great time of cheering them on and annoying the law enforcement personel... (LAW! LAWLAWLAWLAWLAWLAWLAW!) Second Operation: Biggie and Warmonger remain at base while the rest of the teams went to scout and engage. Biggie and Warmonger get seriously raped and overwhelmed by 10-12 law enforcement..hehe. Third Op: Gk, SBD, and ACO defend the tanks/pumphouse from attack. The three teams are spread along the line, and trade fire with the opfor across the powerline cut. After 10 minutes of this, a few GK members (Gary, Munin, and Zorak) rush across the cut and eat into the enemies flank. Seeing that they needed backup (and nearly killing Gary in the process... ) Biggie, xaos and the SBD fellers rushed across and gave the others much needed assistance. We cleared the immediate area and began to spread out and clear the surroundings. (Sorry for nailing you Young lady.) Biggie traveled north along the cut, engaged and killed an opfor trading fire with friendlies... Biggie then advanced to the dead opfor and noticed Munin and Ryan (ACO) trading fire with two hostiles. Biggie ran to their aid, tagged one (they had tagged the other) and healed Ryan. Biggie sat out op four due to his gimp knee... Anyways. Great op gentlemen. Had a great time killing and working alongside you all.
