Hi, I plan on attending this event with a member of my team and I just had a few questions: 1. I've read a few different locations, is the address in the first post of this thread definitely where it's happening? 2. Is there anyway I could get any more specific details on the terrain, field, scenarios, etc? I'd like to know if I should go with CQB or field oriented gear. Also, I'd like to know if we're going to be handling realistic LE situations or if it will be an AEG to AEG massacre under the false pretense of something that a law enforcement officer would likely face. Either way I'm sure it will be fun as hell, I'm just curious as to what I'll be driving 5 hours for. 3. Any idea on what time this event will end?
Thanks in advance!

I can tell you now FT that there will be real LE situations envloved. Just an example I know that there will be at least one person acting as an innocent person on the field, with the possiablity of several others. Other things are in the works to make this as realistic as possiable. i.e when someone surrenders, and there will be people surrendering, Law enforcement will not be allowed to shoot them.

They pop the mag out and sling the gun if possible, or just carry it.

-SSCR-N000787293-0404-From: ‘Cooper-L’ To: ‘Mr. Mishazimio’ MI LE snagged the transport van from OH, copy of article attached. Going to have to move on OH on 30th. Start getting everone up to speed. Press Release - MiA NewsWire MAJOR WEAPONS SEIZURE IN WEST MICHIGAN |
Benton Harbor - AP Berrien County Sherriffs, conducting what they thought was a routine abandoned vehicle stop, made a startling discovery Sunday: an unmarked van loaded with over a hundred unregistered, tightly controlled assault weapons. Sherriff's Deputy Marc Goslin was the first to respond to the vehicle, an unmarked white Ford Econoline van parked on the shoulder of northbound I-94 just south of St. Joseph. "We see disabled vehicles on the highway quite frequently," Gosilin said. "Nothing about this particular van stood out. It looked like a typical tag-and-bag." "Tag-and-bag" is the term these officers use for affixing state-approved abandoned vehicle stickers to non-functioning vehicles left on the road. The vehicles are then towed to impound where they will stay until the owners can be found. Still, law enforcement personnel have learned to treat any such "routine" encounter with the utmost caution. This particular stop was no exception. "The first thing I noticed was that there was a muddy strip going down the embankment into the woods beside the highway," Goslin reported. "That struck me as odd. Most people either stay near the vehicle or walk along the highway to the nearest exit. In this case, the nearest exit is less than a mile away. It looked like the driver wanted nothing more than to get as far away from the vehicle and any witnesses as fast as he could." Goslin added, "That behavior is consistent with stolen vehicles, but something about this felt a little different." Goslin's hunch proved to be a good one; after calling for back-up, he began inspecting the vehicle. "The windows were heavily tinted, but looking back from the windshield I could see what looked to be a large crate or box covered over with a tarp." That "crate or box" turned out to be a stack of 32 cases of freshly manufactured AK-47 assault rifles, over 120 weapons in all. "This find represents the largest single weapons seizure of this type in the entire state of Michigan," said Berrien County Sherriff Dennis Quisner. "The fact that we caught it by sheer chance is what's most disturbing." Indeed, no arrests were made in the vicinity of the vehicle. The Berrien County Sherriff's Department, aided by the Michigan State Police K-9 unit and other local law enforcement is investigating the scene and attempting to track the movements of the driver upon leaving the area. Investigators are trying to contact the owner of the vehicle, as well as attempting to determine where the weapons were headed. Quisner said, "These weapons were going somewhere. Getting them off the street is not enough. We need to find those responsible both for supplying them as well as purchasing them, and bring both parties to justice." He concluded his press briefing by stating with conviction that his office was committed to doing both.

For those of you who missed the update to the event description on the first page:
Location: 1841 Engman Rd, Muskegon, MI 49445 DIRECTIONS: 31 North to the M120 Exit - take a left for about 3 miles. When you see Johnson Hall on your right - take a right on Engman which is the next street. Follow Engman all the way to the end. 1841 Engman.
The terrain consists of light to moderate woods with light to moderate undergrowth. There are a few areas where growth is thick and a vast stretch of no growth subdividing the field, that is about 10yards at its widest point. The elevation varies, with gently sloped embankments no higher than about 25 vertical feet.

These are the events leading up to Saturday, May 1st, 2004. "Under every government the final resort of the people, is an appeal to the sword; whether to defend themselves against the open attacks of a foreign enemy, or to check the insidious encroachments of domestic foes. Whenever a people... entrust the defence of their country to a regular, standing army, composed of mercenaries, the power of that country will remain under the direction of the most wealthy citizens."
-A. Framer Press Release-MiA Newswire Medina, OH- Early this morning FBI agents, along with Ohio State Police and Medina County Sheriff deputies, executed a Federal warrant and raided a home in a quite suburban Ohio neighborhood. Taken into custody were 3 members of a local armed militia called Guardians of the Rights Militia. Local law enforcement officials made an announcement to the press after the raid, saying that this was just one of 11 raids carried out simultaneously, across the country. The Sheriff’s Department also revealed that FBI, BATF, and Department of Homeland Security agents were involved in all the raids today, though they are unable to disclose the exact locations. No shots were fired at this Ohio raid, but its still unknown whether the other alleged raids involved violence. The FBI National Press Office refuses to acknowledge participation in any raids, saying only that the FBI is aware of a U.S. nationalist militant organization calling themselves Guardians of the Rights Militia. No further information is available regarding the militia and local community members seem unaware of the militia or their activities. FBI Initial “Post-Action” Situational Awareness Briefing Beginning this morning, at 1:10a.m., fifty three Bureau agents were involved in a massive coordinated effort with numerous BATF, Homeland Security, state and local authorities to execute thirteen (13) Federal search, seizure, and arrest warrants. The warrants were issued to search the homes, businesses and properties of several known members of the “Guardians of the Rights Militia”, with the specific action of gathering intelligence about the organization’s leadership, as well as arresting and prosecuting targeted individuals within the organization. Agents coordinated, planned and performed the cooperative raid in a manner that resulted in the maximum benefit from the action with almost no personal or property damage. The FBI now has in-custody seven (7) key members of the Guardians and is temporarily detaining twenty seven (27) others. The seven (7) high-echelon members will be indicted tomorrow in an Ohio Federal District Court. Information obtained from the detained individuals, as well as supporting documentation seized during the raids, has revealed the names and possible locations of members of the highest level of the organization. Based on this new information and on the recommendation of the Intelligence Processing and Operations departments, the Bureau is obtaining warrants for the arrest of William Charles Bownes (aka Chilly Bones) and James Butler Willis (aka Wild Bill). These two individuals are believed to be the head of this militant organization and every effort must be made to capture and arrest them. Bownes and Willis are considered armed and dangerous and may well be surrounded by the most fanatic members from their group. Several weapon caches were discovered during prior raids and the types and quantities of weapons and ammunitions seized make it very clear that this organization is determined to aggressively protect their interests. The earlier raids have been successful, because of the element of surprise. Reacting quickly to incoming information is the only way to successfully arrest these suspects. And, since the incident in Waco, low-key/fast-response tactics are desirable. Top FBI officials believe that bringing down this armed militia group may lead to closure on some high profile cases, as well as the disbanding of other “knock-off” militant groups. Therefore, this must not turn into a long drawn-out event. The first search warrants, to be served tomorrow morning, will be available by 11:35p.m, tonight. A multi-organization, coordinated raid will subsequently occur at the location(s) specified.
