It is a concrete structure, but it's chock-full of flammable materials. As such, no pyrotechnics of any kind will be allowed. This includes cold smoke. Trust me, we fired up a chemical smoke machine in there once. It filled up the entire front office area in about fifteen seconds and lingered for nearly an hour. Smoke is not such a good idea in this confined a space.
Also, I've gotten a few requests for guidelines on mixing-and-matching ammo loadouts. If you find yourself short of mags of any given type, you can make substitutions:
One mid-cap mag is worth three standard mags. One standard mag is worth two STAR mags.
For example, a loadout of 2 mid-caps and 3 standards is fine. Similarly, two mid-caps, two standards, and two STAR mags would also be fine.

Hi Guys, My names Marc (lonesurvivor). I'm new to the site. It looks great. I have been playing around with airsoft for only a few months but am in absolute love. I'm a former Ranger from 1/75th HAAF Savanah GA. I have a buddy that just got home from Iraq out of the 101st and we would really like to go to your OP. I'm from Lansing and was wondering if anyone else that is going is from around here? Anyways, hope to meet you guys in a couple of weeks.

Welcome lonesurvivor
I am from the Lansing area (west side Waverley area) and I will be attending the OP. I got two guys driving up from Nashville TN that will be riding with me now but you and your buddy are welcome to convoy with us to the location. The place is simply amazing and should be quite an experience for being your first Airsoft event. op

Registration/chrono will run from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The safety and rules briefing will begin at 1:00 or 1:30 depending on how many people still need to chrono/gear up.
The actual scenario itself will start at 2 PM.
The scenario is planned for six hours. If the scenario ends early (if one team is just that badass) or if people want to continue playing, the facility will be available for team-on-team, elimination, sweep-and-clear, and other short scenarios until midnight.
For those of you travelling a long distance to this event, there is Best Western in Portland. It's only about 10 miles from the facility. Contact info:
Best Western American Heritage Inn 1681 E Grand River Avenue, Portland, Michigan, United States, 48875-1673 Phone: 517-647-2200 Fax: 517-647-2250

Hey, all. Registration for this game is looking great. Things are pretty balanced, but we're looking for a few volunteers from people signed up with the US Forces side who might be willing to switch to the Terrorist team, anywhere from 3 to 5 people. Any takers?

I get paid every two weeks on Fridays. Will there be a problem with paying on PayPal on the 7th?
If it is, can a person pay with cash at the event?

Devil Dog: Pretty much everybody who has signed up for "either" is going to be a Terrorist. Besides, Talisman and Trauby look like terrorists, so it's only fitting. A.K.Waters: Either PayPal on Friday or paying at the event is fine. CamoPhreak: Unfortunately, this event is taking place entirely indoors. As such, the only way we could really use your jeep is as an immobile obstruction in the loading bay. Which reminds me: anybody who has a vehicle that they don't mind getting shot at is welcome to park it indoors in the loading bay. 350 FPS shouldn't damage paint or glass, but the choice is yours. Parking inside is nice if the weather is nasty.
