This has become a search by the APD (Airsoft Police Department) and Chief CStingerGhost1, to find and serve justice to a man who at a airsoft event fired a metal bb causing harm to one Evan. Video of that day has been pulled by the APD and is being reviewed in a attempt to catch the culprit. Police only wish to give Evan justice by refusing the culprit game play on future fields and possibly meet the receiving end of an airsoft firing squad. Police are asking that you disclose all information you have to the Chief as he is the lead investigator. Stay tuned in the next 24 hours as information on how the search goes will be announced to the public. Hahaha thank you. Probably the funniest thing I've read all day. But Dizzy is right: If you have information, give it to me. I am allocating the evidence to try and pinpoint the shooter. I'm working with Evan and his brother Phil. Phil was recording from the other team. He is also up at Futureball right now to try and find any more evidence.

Can we just have an official boycott of Futureball already? Reach out to the facebook groups, both paintball an Airsoft and get as many people to boycott them as possible.

Progress on the Futureball Pellet gun shooting has found that the airsofting public is know boycotting Futureball. They are reaching out to airsofters, and even paintballer's, in order to for events like yesterdays shooting not to occur. Chief of police CStingerGhost1 has no comment at the moment to Airsofting News, but we do expect one within the next 24 hours.

People can have their own opinions, but that's mine. The same thing could have happened at one of Pagan's REC games in Taylor. They weren't checking pistols there either. The only thing I do blame Futureball for is their failure to chronograph everyone and check everyone immediately after. They let half of the people there just go through.

I think the problem is that they are trying to schedule these games like Paintball games, as in, Paintballers show up with jeans, t-shirt and full face mask, team up, and start playing within less than 20 minutes after arrival. Airsofters usually need more time to load up, get all their gear in check, so on so forth. I always try to show up at least half an hour to an hour ahead of time, but there's a sense of 'being rushed'.
I think the idea is that everybody's got a schedule and they want to get people playing ASAP, and in that, important things like chronoing and checking guns is overlooked. Many times I've played there, and never saw a chrono. This was the field I played my first like, 5 or 6 airsoft games at, and I played nowhere else until I played at Hell's Survivors at Gambit, so until then I thought not chrono-ing was just standard.
Hopefully, only good will come out of this. It would pain me to see Futureball take a step backwards in airsoft after this. I think I speak for everyone here that we just want fields to play at. No one wants to play the same field over and over again, it's nice to have some variety.
Anyhow, seeing that the player abandoned the BB gun, I doubt that he had malicious intent. I suspect he had no knowledge of the wrong he was about to do, and freaked out after he committed it. I doubt he'll turn himself in, and I'm sure that he's realized the wrong he did. I think eyes are on Futureball to screen their players more thoroughly in the future to prevent this from happening.

Dizzy, please stop. You're not adding anything to the discussion. Aw, come on. I liked being important. EDIT: Dizzy, go make a separate thread for your news announcements in the Discussion section.

No, don't do that Dizzy. It'll just make me have to go over there and lock it.

Back on topic: I've made a video presentation for one of my current running theories. I'll have it up on YouTube probably by tonight.

Really? I denied a G&G CO2 1911, a Win Gun 1911, and a Win Gun Revolver last game. You should probably ask us first before saying things like that, I take safety very seriously, which was why I was running chrono until about 12:30 to cover all the people who were showing up late. If it is a green gas GBB, it usually is not chrono'd, but I do chrono CO2 pistols.

If it is a green gas GBB, it usually is not chrono'd, but I do chrono CO2 pistols. Whenever I run the chrono, I always check to see if someone has a CO2 sidearm, or something that looks out of place. So while we don't chrono every side arm, we do our best to run everyone through chrono as quickly as possible. If we were to check every single side arm, chrono would be far too drawn out.

This can be a reference for anybody, but in general, green gas/propane powered pistols will not push over 350ish FPS. The reason, primarily, is that their barrels are too short to take full advantage of the power from the gas. Yeah, you can tune up a 1911's or Glock's efficiency and gas output to start hitting that limit, but it takes work. The guns that are likely to hit it without a lot of tuning are the long barreled blasters like Desert Eagles and such. If you're running chrono, it's a good idea to check any GBB pistol that looks like it has a barrel longer than 6" or so.
Some anecdotal evidence, my WA SVI with a 4.3" barrel puts out about 310 FPS on propane on a typical summer day. My compensated WA SVI, with the same mags and very similar internals, hits 410FPS with a 7" barrel. The effect isn't dissimilar from overvoluming a P*, and I honestly don't know what would happen with heavier bbs. Back when I was using these guns a lot, we didn't know about the effects of bb weight on an overvolumed gun.
