Looks like this will be an exciting event for our state.
As much as I would love to attend this event (especially I am outfitted for both East German NVA and Soviet-Afghanistan impressions), not only would it be difficult for me to travel to the site but I do not view myself suitable for a simulation of this scale.
I would though like to meet Igor Dobroff if he did attend.

I'm assuming this is an 18+ event? This is what it said in their F.A.Qs. "Standard minimum age limit is 18. However, we do allow very mature underage attendees (Parental Consent Form must be signed and notarized) to participate with an adult guardian (must be a Lion Claws Series alumni) present (case by case)." www.oplionclaws.com/faq.phpSo basically you can only play with an adult guardian who is a Lion Claws alum from the sounds of it. Any chance of an alum adopting me for the event? I'll buy my own food!

Wow I can't believe I missed this part of the forums. I have been stalking the op website for since last year. I actually put together my entire kit just so I could attend and witha bang.
I'm down for team MIA !!!
This is going to be amazing and 165$ is fantastic!
Is anyone starting a list in here to make sure we have an estimated head count. Obviously not everyone at the event can be on the same side but it seams many on here are good to go on the Russian side. I only own my digi desserts and new purchased multicam set, so I will go to US. It may be a good idea jus to get an idea off attendance and team they'll be on.

Yeah Alex there's a private MIA Northernlight forum located underneath the Team Forums section down at the bottom of the home page. PM Knief and he'll give you the password.
We have a preliminary roster and other threads with more information related to attending this event.

My team would love to go but the few we have are all under 18. i saw the post on age but it kind of confused me. we are all mature and are willing to fallow orders and will take it serious. Would it be hard for us to get in? we would also like to go for the fact we would love to go to irene in the future.

The only way that you can get in if you're under 18 is if you have a parent/legal guardian who is a Lion Claws Vet to vouch for you.

This event is literally right down the street from me. I already took Marshy and Ike to check it out. If any of you want to come down and check it out, just contact me and I can take you right to it.

i have been watching and commenting on this NL3 game for a short time. it does look very promising. but unfortunately for me to attend, i would have to ship my gun&gear out and fly out (a ticket will be cheaper then entry fee-I have nothing else to say) since i am from NY. plus i am not familiar with the area and the distance needed to travel from the closest airport from what i see from a map view looks like 30 miles away.

That sounds about right. It's all surface roads also, so you will only average around 40MpH likely (the roads near the airport are faster, but near the event it's around 35MpH or so.

Since we're all planning on being on the same team for this OP anyways. We don't know which side we're going yet as full information on both sides hasn't fully been disclosed.

Doesn't work like that Turbii. There's a registration system that fills in MINUTES of opening. So there's no sense in gathering gear to go, unless you actually manage to make it onto the roster.
