Straight from John Lu's newsletter: Jun. 2012 USAirsoft Expo, Columbus, OH Operation Northern Light, Trenton, MI (a giant Steel Mill) ----- If I'm still around Michigan and don't sell off all my shit, I would be interested in attending. EDIT BY TALI : This is a John Lu event. Don't sign up here. This is the webpage. oplionclaws.com/northernlight/index.php (hasn't been updated for this year yet?)

I actually e-mailed John Lu and am trying to get some more info on it as well. I didn't know it was going to be held at a Steel Mill. Of course we're still waiting for more detail, but looking at last year's Northern Light event, registration opened on April 24th. The fee for non vets was $165, and an $80 deposit was required at the time of registration. Also the camo requirements were 3 color DCU & Multicam for one side, and mixed camo for the other side.

I'm assuming this is an 18+ event? This is what it said in their F.A.Qs. "Standard minimum age limit is 18. However, we do allow very mature underage attendees (Parental Consent Form must be signed and notarized) to participate with an adult guardian (must be a Lion Claws Series alumni) present (case by case)." www.oplionclaws.com/faq.phpSo basically you can only play with an adult guardian who is a Lion Claws alum from the sounds of it.

Does anyone know when OPLC usually opens registration for their events? As in, how many months before the game?
EDIT: Answered my own question. Last year for this event registration opened exactly two months prior.

At 160 Dollars, I may just pass on this one. This mindset is whats wrong with MIAirsoft. You think $160 is bad? It was $200 for my first Irene, but I wanted to go, and when I did, I found it to be way more immersive than ANY fucking paintball field game, or SFOD backyard battle.

I'll gladly pay $165 to attend this event. How many times do we get to attend an OP: Lion Claws event right in our own back yard? Which basically gives those of us who aren't Lion Claws vets to be able to attend Irene in the future. Hell how many chances do we get to play airsoft in a steel mill for 3 days? I'm registering the second registration opens for this event.

Agreed. The hellfish are already discussing this game. We should form an MIA team. I wouldn't call it an all star team but we should definitely coordinate so that we can make a good showing. We need to show the out of towners (that will for sure come) what MIA is all about.

Based on witnessing how he is from the previous Lion Claws games I've been to that Mullen was the main leader I recommend not being on whatever side he runs. Unless you like losing.
