Roster updated everyone. Shadow, Sleeping on the field by players must be done at their own risk, it's always a good option to grab a few hours when you need it. But players are required to sleep with the goggles on. If you get shot sleeping, it seems your sentries did not do a good job... Zander, Quoted from my initial post: "Your admission covers food and ammunition for the entire weekend." Players are allowed to bring their own initial 300 rounds, anything after that; unless previously authorized will not be allowed. Additional ammunition can only be acquired through "Supply Drops". For example, holding a 'DZ' long enough to get resupplied. Based on what you are saying, all rifleman start out with 300 rounds ONLY. So for most people that will be either 1 hicap or 3 mids. Whats preventing people from loading up 10 mags besides honesty? They can either leave the additional magazines at their vehicle or they can leave the event. Simple as that. Anyone using or thinking of tracer ammunition should first PM us so we can work something out.

The sleeping on the field part is meant to be (as far as I have been lead to understand) a test of endurance and proper team deployment. Like Canto said, if you get shot while sleeping, your sentries did not do their job of securing the area, or then again you didn't do a good enough job picking a spot to bunk. You're surviving and resting at night under fire, so it's a semi-real test of people's abilities to handle a tough situation.
It's not a camping trip, it's one of the tests to win the game. And it's a test designed to get players to man up and push their bodies a bit harder than normal. So I'm of the mind for no special treatment or systems to support sleepers.
I still have a mind to bring some equipment to help with the sleep and security situation but those are for myself as a player supporting the team more than anything else. But that's me.
And 300 rounds should be able to last a while (except for SAW gunners) provided people remember it's an endurance game and to keep their trigger discipline. If they burn through all their ammo right away then they'll have to borrow, steal (i dunno how this will work or be interpreted) or wait for a resupply. Until then they'll have to find something else to do to support their team or find an alternate method of remaining combat effective. And such is the trial's of combat.

Is there any exceptions of bringing 300 of your own rounds for people with DMRs that need to shoot .40 or .43? Because, if your only supplying .2 and .25, that wouldn't fly with guys shooting guns that have a 505 fps.

I guess I read into MOA's posts a little too much about the ammo. I will definitely be using tracer ammo at night (and probably many others) so that is something that will need to be worked out. Luckily my mags are convertible to 30/60/90/120 rounders so I can convert them all to low caps. Looking forward to this a lot more now.

Will ghillies have to match the team colour, or just make sure to radio? Matching teams doesn't really make any sense since I'll have it covered mostly in foliage anyway.

I have a few questions i need official answers on. 1. What are the limitations on pistols and the ammo amounts for pistol? Does the ammo you have for the pistol come out of your ammo allowance?
2. Will smoke grenades be allowed?
3. I have a OD Green tac vest and the rest of my gear is set up as contractor. what team would i be on, seeing as most contractors seem to have tan vests?
4. Will my mac 11 fall under the pistol category?

Roster updated everyone.
I would like to announce that pre-registration for Operation: Tailwind is officially open.
Admission Cost: $35.00 Per Person PayPal Address: armoryairsoft@gmail.com
- The deadline for prepayments is: Saturday, July 16th, 2011. - No refunds will be issued if you decide to back out of this event. You have been warned. - Late arriving players will not be allowed to play.
- Please send payment as a 'gift'. - Be sure to include your airsoft callsign during the preregistration process.
Shadow,
Ghillie suits can go onto either team.
Python,
1) Handguns and sidearms do not count towards the ammunition capacities.
2) Smoke grenades are fine.
3) Yes, I would count a MAC-11 as a sidearm.

what if I am turning 16 this year, July 18th? I have everything I would need + experience on a field. I'm just not 16 YET?

I'm turning 16 as well on July 7th and I'm on the roster (not that it means anything). But anyways, the information in the original post says 16+ so it doesn't matter when you turn 16 before the event.
