Revised Rules and Gameplay Modifications
General Event Modifications
- $30.00 Per Person. (This event is no longer a prepay event. Players are welcome to pay at the field.)
- Age Requirement: 16+ (Players under the age of 16 may be vouched for by a respected member of the Michigan Airsoft community).
Players Are Required To Have The Following Items:- Full Seal Goggles.
- Radio.
- Flashlight or Tactical Light.
- Hydration Pack or Canteen.Pre-Event Camping Open: After 4:00 PM, on Friday, August 12th.
Registration/Chrono Open: 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 13th.
Briefing: 4:45 PM, Saturday, August 13th.
First Half Start: 5:15 PM, Saturday, August 13th.
Dinner Break (One Hour): 9:00 PM, Saturday, August 13th.
Second Half Start: 10:00 PM, Saturday, August 13th.
Game End: 9:00 AM, Sunday, August 14th.
Post Event Breakfast and Debriefing: 9:15-
, Sunday, August 14th.
Squads
- Both teams for this event will be broken down into squads. Players are not allowed to leave their squad for any reason.
- If a player is killed; he/she is to wait at the respawn for the next available squadmate and then pair up to move back towards the rest of the group.
- If no squadmate is available, a player is then to wait and link up with the next friendly team member.
Studies and Observation Group – 30 Players, 3 – 10 Man Squads.

- Squads are limited to one Sniper and one Support Gunner each.
- Players that have not joined a squad by July 30th, 2011 will be automatically dropped from the roster to free up space.
Ammunition
- Ammunition will no longer be provided for this event. Players are encouraged to purchase or bring their own ammunition to this event. During gameplay, ammunition will be kept in the appropriate team re-supply location.
- All ammunition kept at these locations must be issued an identifier (Name/Callsign/Team) tag by a field official to prevent theft, misuse, and confusion.
- Ammunition will be kept together by squads! Players remember what squad you are on! (Example: All of Alpha Squad’s ammo will be kept together).
- Player access to ammunition will be limited, according to the flow and progression of the event.
- Ammunition cannot be pillaged from friendly or enemy players. Participants caught stealing ammunition from each other will be immediately removed from the event.
Food/Meals/Water
- We will no longer be providing ‘era appropriate’ meals for both teams at this event. Players will have the option to purchase Hot Dogs and Cans of Soda or bottles of water for $1.00 each during the 9:00 PM (21:00) dinner break.
- Following the conclusion of Operation: Tailwind at 9:00 AM on Sunday, August 14th; we will be providing a free Pancake breakfast for all remaining participants.
- Bottled water will be available for sale during the event for $1.00 each.
- We will be providing a cooler of water for players to fill their Hydration Packs or Canteens at any point during the event.
Pyrotechnics/Fire
- Smoke grenades, both hot and cold burning are allowed.
- Tripwire flares and other low placed pyrotechnics are prohibited unless prior authorization is granted.
- Wireless alarms and non-hazardous tripwires may be used if prior authorization is given.
- Certain areas of the field may be lit by small fires. Players cannot play within 10 feet of these locations.
Sleeping/Rest
- This is an all-night event, players are encouraged to sleep for at least a few hours; but not required.
- Players that decide to nap are required to keep their goggles on at all times while on the field.
- You may get ambushed if you decide to nap, players are suggested to discuss sentry details prior to resting.
- The game itself will run continuously from start to end, players should plan on being tired by the end of the event.
Night Gameplay
- Missions will be running all through the night. Some missions may be dull, others may not.
A lull in fire or a lack of activity in a sector does not equate to the game being over…- Players that are not equipped with a SAW are limited to semi-automatic or three round burst during nighttime gameplay.
- Players caught using full automatic fire at night risk team wide penalties for violations. You have been warned.
- Tripwire flares and other low placed pyrotechnics are prohibited unless prior authorization is granted.
