Well alright, if no one else is going to then I suppose I will start up a thread. I had a blast yesterday. The objectives were fast paced and constantly moving, the field was a challenge as always, and the green team actually decided play come the second half of the day Ran into some problems with hit calling but with newer players that's bound to happen. My main problem with the day was overkilling. I only died twice yesterday but I have probably over 100 welts on my body. I can take a hit like anyone else but I am NOT ok with that. Especially being shot after I had my kill rag on (multiple times). I don't know if it was trigger discipline or what, but that shit needs to change. Overall though, great potential last outdoors game, can't wait for pictures! Oh, and thanks to all the mods for trying to keep the teams humble yesterday.

This was my first real event I've been to (been to plenty of rec. games), and I had a blast. The only con was the knife killing of our entire team up the peninsula. After that, the game was a jumble and no one had any idea what was going on. I had an awesome time keeping off an offensive move by tan on the hill at City A with Trevor. From that alone, I got 5 kills and Trevor got four I think. All in all, it was awesome.

I had an OK time. I probably heard more yelling about people not calling hits today then I have in, well ever to be honest. I understand that when you have a lot of young or inexperienced people on a team, it can be difficult. However, if you think there's ANY chance you might have been hit, just call yourself out. I called myself out a couple of times on what I thought was a questionable hit, because I'd rather be known as a guy that gets shot a lot, than a cheater. Now, here's the parts I did like. The medic system was very interesting, that's first time I've used a card based system. I probably got about 6 to 8 alive cards, which would make me think that perhaps there should be fewer of those, but other than that it was good. My favorite memory of the day was Marshy having a bb ricochet and hit his codpiece. I just happened to be watching him at the time and watching it bounce off. I I have nothing else to say'ed hard. Here's the best pic of the day, hands down. And if you don't agree, there's something wrong with you.

The hit calling (or lack of) really killed it for me.

I thought the game overall went really well. I loved the new medic system in some ways and hated it in other ways. I personally think there was a lot of alive cards. Some other problems was that people were not paying attention to if people were hit or if they had a kill rag on or not. I got lit up by about 50 BB's while wearing a kill rag and holding my weapon in the air. Other then those problems the game was pretty smooth. Near the beginning of the game Green team was getting beat pretty hard. But after lunch we started to pull it together with the help of Canto giving some re-enforcement he got newer players to finally move up instead of bunching up in the village.
P.S. Sunshine you were a excellent player and could definitely play well as a squad commander. I look forward to playing with you again.

I had a good time as usual, but there were a lot of player caused issues. I've never seen worse hit calling(this applies to both sides), overkill due to the forced bleedout times, and violations of some basic rules. I had to tell at least five newbies to put their goddamn goggles back on while in the respawn area, and had some engagement limit issues with an experienced player who should have known better.
Looking past all that, I really liked the medic card system and objectives. Also, great job tan team for destroying us with vastly inferior numbers.
The highlight of my day was crawling across the middle of the field to the church with almost no cover, and taking out 7 tan players from behind the village. It took almost an hour to pull it off, but the shocked faces made it well worth the effort. Unfortunately I was immediately team killed by one of our many newbies.

I wasn't a big fan of the medic system at all. It seemed to only cause problems. I can only point fingers at a certain green team medic (as I literally never saw one of our supposed medics during the day) when I say that blatant cheating was going on as he would let the hit person thumb through the cards until they found one that they liked, as well as leaving them if they were injured but they would somehow still be healed after a minute and having a dead teammate openly tell a guy which card not to pick. I may not be FLAK but if I see this again on that or any field I will have no problem asking to you promptly and swiftly GTFO.

I had a blast the first half of the day. Hell, even the second half of the day was pretty damn good. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I only saw one instance of BLATANT not-hit-calling (and when I say blatant, I mean it). But that was all well because a mod was standing right there and chewed out the guy. Other than that, I had no obvious hit-calling issues. There were a couple times where I thought I might have hit somebody, but it was from like 75 feet away or so, so I couldn't tell for sure. About the medic system, I think it was okay. The forced bleedout didn't work out though, especially since the green team didn't follow that rule. In the second half of the day (towards the end) when green made their second big push, I ended up standing around (dead) talking to a couple of green guys, and they asked me why I was sitting there and not going back to spawn. I told them I was bleeding out as it hadn't been 5 minutes yet. They immediately told me that I didn't have to bleed out and I could just walk back to spawn... now, as far as I heard in the briefing, if you got hit you HAD to sit there for 5 minutes while bleeding out so the opposing team has a chance to capture you. This makes perfect sense as to why I never got to capture anybody though- every time I hit somebody on the green team they just got up and walked away. Also, I got overkilled a little bit because I was actually dropping on spot and waiting for the 5 minutes, but that's probably also my fault for forgetting my kill rag at home. Regardless, we (tan team) needed medics in the second half of the day. After Black Talon was switched to green after lunch I honestly don't think we had a single medic on the tan team. Or at least I NEVER saw one until Canto said I could be a medic at the end of the day. Anyways, pretty good day overall. I got killed plenty of times, and got a fair number of kills too (I mean, with that many people...that's kind of to be expected). And of course we got a bunch of objectives completed during the first half of the game which clearly saved our ass since the green team seemed to be able to run through us during the second half. Good game to everybody (except you people that were cheating and not calling hits- shame on you!).

I had a pretty good time yesterday. Played with some friends from school who're working on getting a Arisoft club going, and I ended up being green, but it was still fun. I know there were some hit calling problems, but I really saw a lot of shooting dead men. When someone was lying in a field without an arm up or a killrag on, I can understand that somebody who just got there might think they were prone instead of on their back, and trying to be sneaky. But when someone yells "hit" quite loud, and immediately had their rag and gun over their head, and turns around and starts walking back to respawn and keeps getting shot by the same person... Well, that's why teamkilling's sometimes okay. Though at least one person did it with a sense of humor, and some were admitting of it. For example, I got hit, stood up, hollered "hit", put the rag on my head, and started waiting for a medic. Got thwacked twice more in my gear (which I heard, but ooh well, I can't feel it), hollered "still hit." A few seconds went by, got sprayed again in the gear (by this time I could tell it was the same person, due to the gun sound), hollered "Uup! I'm not hit anymore!" and got one more round in the chest two or three seconds later. In the not trying to be funny department, when myself and whoever the other two were got the ammo cans from the Tan hill, and we waltzed into D and had an awesome hand/knife kill... And then got lit up by three tan guys coming over. One of them put a few rounds into my arm after I yelled "hit," but as I was starting to say something like "Shooting me more doesn't make me much deader," he yelled "sorry." So kudos to whoever that was for that. But all in all, some good memories. Sure, all morning green kept getting a good rush going, but then we'd get 15 people stacked up behind a building. I frequently found myself moving up, and not getting anybody to follow. And then they'd get picked off one by one, Tan would res, and I'd get totally overrun. (Which got me captured once, but meh). But eventually we got our shit together and (largely with the help of the multicam guys who got moved over; not going to lie) managed to actually keep moving and shooting and advance our freaking mass of timid men with guns. I joined up with the first effective charge after they'd gotten across the creek, and I know there were around roughly 40 guys on the friggin' peninsula, and they started stalling. Now, there were FOUR people up top that were able to shoot at us at the time. Sure, they were FAH, and I couldn't believe I was charging up a damn hill running to the sounds of Kustom's Kittycat, but between all the yelling, the mods starting to put rounds into the whiner's asses (I think Canto shot at least three himself ), and some guys starting to flank, we finally moved up. Though, from the sounds of it there were issues with the people down in the cattails calling their hits. And since most people know how that charge went, to cut it short, "lolairstrike." (And this was my third game in a row where I trapsed through essentially a swamp to get into a good position to do some damage. I forget where the first was, but the second was at SFOD maybe four months back, when it was all against SFOD and myself, Triggs, and someone else got around behind the city, and this time myself and two guys from school went through that thick crap so we could charge into A, which between us getting four kills and being a damned good distraction, we finally manged to get men in the city, and they even were still there after we respawned!) Two other parts of the day (also in the second half >_>) I really enjoyed were the aforementioned ammo can running (which since a medic wasn't going to make it to us, and since Tan had gotten into D, someone had the explosives in the city detonate, killing the three of us that were bleeding out, and the tan guys), and the time I linked up with some guys trying to get a second good charge going... I believe they had two SAWs and an AK. "Hey, I think I see someone over there! Light 'em up!" And boy, did they light up like Christmas trees. So, all in all, like I said, good day. For me the real issues were the green team clustering up and getting shot like fish in a barrel, and I guess not enough people having radios. I was clueless to the objectives most of the time, and at one point during my 17 minute stint pinned down in a building being pelted by ricochets, Reaper hollered back for somebody to ask command if they knew anything about Chemical Warheads. So I hollered back to the 20-something guys on the ass-end of the building I was in, and they all "lolwaht?"'d, but someone finally had a radio, and command apparently knew. I think the issue arose there because lots of people floated, and there wasn't a ton of squad leadership. I know I had to keep floating around because I kept ending up being one of the last alive of what should have been an awesome charge, so I'd have to trek all the way across the field to find either my sqadmates after they'd res'd, or find any of them who were still alive. I suppose that would have been less of a problem for me had a had a radio, though.

Hey I wasn't their to overkill anyone this time. Haha, that's good I guess. But one more thing about the overkilling, it was seriously an issue. When Koko says he got hit a TON, he means it. One specific time I was right next to him and he got hit. He called it, put his gun in the air, put a BRIGHT PINK kill rag on his head and stood there. Then he took a few more shots, and kind of moved off to the side to make it CLEAR that he was dead. He took a few more shots and kind of had that "what the fuck?" look on his face. Took a few more shots (all while standing there, not in a line of fire, with a pink rag on his head) and he started getting pissed. I mean, shit, he probably took 50 rounds just standing there dead. That's really not cool or okay. Thank you mods for helping out, it was just unfortunate that every time you turned your backs some members of the green team (and possibly tan team too, I didn't notice anything but I mostly stuck with my little squad of Hellfish + Melson) would take advantage of that.

The game in an over all sense was spectacular. I always enjoy seeing friends that I hardly ever get to see and meeting the one's from the forum that I've never met before. The start of the the day was lots of fun, the green team had difficulty getting the charge going to take objectives(possibly from inexperience) and actually keeping everyone together on what was happening. After lunch it just went down hill. Maybe its just me spoiled by having so much fun at rec. games, but the hit calling(by both sides) was atrocious(along with getting peppered after calling my hits with the kill rag on), and the team work(green side) was non-existent. Unfortunately the new battery I had put in after lunch died, so we decided to head out(from frustration), as we were leaving, Stepped onto some mud and promptly fell, causing the gun to go into the air and come down muzzle first into my back(the chipped vertebrae is feeling great today). It was a good game, and always a pleasure seeing everyone.

I agree the overkilling was pretty bad, and I blame myself partly for not bringing my kill rag, but when my hands are up and I'm standing there, come on now guys, trigger control.
I thought it was fun though, it got the new kids to see what Bangor was like and how a mil-sim game, partially works.
Oh and Thor there will be a much better picture up whenever they get uploaded, so I blatantly disagree with you.
I had fun though especially my l337ness I pulled right before lunch that only Tex saw haha.
Perhaps next time though as it's been noted that a lot of newbies wear woodland, which is nothing wrong...
BUT I think it should be forced that one team from Flak, Fah, Black Talon, Asshats or Hellfish should go on that side, just to make sure everyone is playing well.

In addition to the blatant lack of hit-calling from both sides, the medic system and forced bleedout time failed terribly. Throughout the day, I had seven people whom I personally shot and attempted to take captive, but as I approached them and told them they were my prisoner, they either claimed that they didn't have to wait the full 5 minutes if they didn't want to or they told me that being taken prisoner was optional.
Other than those issues, it was a pretty good day of airsoft.

Melson, most of what I heard from you is "Blah blah blah, I'm a dirty tramp." However, you did make a point in there. Almost always, since the history of time, the tan team has been the cool kid team (for the most part). Because, almost everyone can go out and get woodland BDU's for under $50 bucks and start playing. However, other BDU colors are generally more expensive, so most players that have been in for a while will gravitate to that team. I'll be honest, my loadouts and preferred camo would have me on the tan team all the time.
