Registration: 0800 Hrs Chronograph: 0800 – 0930 Hrs Safety Brief: 0940 Hrs Begin Ex.: 1000 HrsBACKSTORY: Breedland is poor and unremarkable town. Its people have always sought the assistance of larger, wealthier communities, just for their survival. Poverty has always been a way of life in Breedland and it has worn the patience of its surrounding territories thin. Sitting on the border between Casair and Domingo, it has been the dumping ground for both countries, which have a long history of denouncing ownership of the town, until now. Peace Corps personnel have made yet another trip to Breedland & again have tried to motivate its people to strive for more. While drilling wells, to try to reduce Breedland’s dependency on Domingo for drinking water, another discovery was made. OIL! Since the discovery, Cesair & Domingo have both claimed Breedland as their own. Domingo claims that it’s long standing agreement to provide water makes the area theirs, while Cesar leadership claims that Domingo has always been a territory of their country. Breedland has seen this as an insult. Both countries have always spit on their people. Breedland is now claiming its independence and filing for that status with the United Nations. Breedland leadership has taken a financial advance on its future oil earnings & with it; they have hired a small force of mercenaries to protect its independence. The stage is set for a show down and it looks like it will be a bloody one. Uniforms:Cesar Army - Woodland Cammo ONLY Domingo Army - 3-color Desert ONLY Eye Protection: Must be full seal, non-mesh and rated, per Apoc. 2008 insurance. More information and website location to follow.

I have nothing else to say woodlands and 3color deserts are easy to come by, and are not expensive at all. i would get Woodlands and/or 3color's for this event. it'll be WAY easier to determine who is friendly, and who's tryin' to shot ya.

I wish every event was like this, much better than trying to see if he's wearing Multicam or Desert MARPAT....
I don't see anything about FPS limits, is there a standard like Michigan that Wisconsin uses?

Here are the rules for this event:
T.F.D. 2008 Games Rules/Safety Briefing
No one likes an "Airsoft Lawyer", so I'll say this once.... The rules were written in an attempt to be as clear as possible. Yes, there may be things written in a mannor, where a player may be able to find a loop hole & try to cheet the system. Anyone caught doing so will be banned from future TFD events. I will not get into huge debates over the rules. Read them & know them, but they are pretty straight forward & in reading them, there should be no doubt in your mind what they are saying.
1. Weapons 1-1: All weapons must be chronographed, with the exception of Nurf Vortex Rocket Launchers. Weapons will be broken into the following categories for that purpose:
AEGs, gas guns & Pistols: <400 FPS, using .20 BBs (380 FPS on paintball chronograph.)
Sniper Weapons: <550 FPS, using .20 BBs
1-2: Any weapon that does not fit into the above categories must have prior approval from the game organizer, or will not be permitted. This includes, but is not limited to mines, grenades and “booby trap” devices.
1-3: All players are restricted to the use of non-winding, mid or low capacity magazines, except for those caring Squad Automatic Weapons (SAWs). SAWs must be an EXACT REPLICA of their real-world counterpart and must use "Box", "C", or "Butterfly" magazines. Any weapon being used as a SAW that does not conform to these standards must be used with mid or low capacity magazines, or it will be removed from the event. Players may carry as many magazines as they want.
1-4: If a BB strikes any part of a player, that player’s clothing or that player’s equipment, that player is hit. Weapon hits do not count as a hit.
1-5: Nurf Vortex Rockets shall not be shot at individual players, but may be used as an “area weapon”. Nurf rockets shall cause the “death” of any opponent within 10 feet of the rockets original striking location. Nurf Rocket strikes against vehicles will count as the destruction of the vehicle.
1-7: Sniper weapons must be SEMI-AUTO ONLY, may not have the ability to fire full auto in any way, and may only be used with a spotter.
1-9: The use of a barrel condom is required in all non-play areas. Whenever in the safe zone, all weapons shall be unloaded, on safe & with a barrel condom in place. Pistols shall be “safe” if holstered.
1-10: The use of laser pointers, on or off of weapons is prohibited, with the exception of infrared lasers, that are only visible through night vision. In case of the use of infrared lasers, they shall not be pointed at a players face, under any circumstances.
2. Eyewear 2-1: All eyewear must be ANZI rated to take the impact of a BB. ANZI ratings shall be displayed on the eyewear, or listed on the eyewear’s packaging. If a player has eyewear that does not have a stamping, indicating it’s rating, that player must bring proof of the rating and have it available to any OC, who requests it.
2-2: All eyewear must be free and clear of any cracks or gouges that may affect its ability to withstand the impact of a BB.
2-3: All players under the age of 18 must wear full face protection and full seal eyewear. “Full seal” means that the eyewear must conform to the wearer’s face and make contact with the wearer’s skin, completely around the eye, using a factory made and installed rubber or foam gasket. “Full face” means that the wearer’s face may not be exposed, at any point and must be covered by a rubber or plastic protective shield.
2-4: Any player over the age of 18 must wear full seal eyewear. (Per 2008 Apocalypse insurance.)
2-5: The use of unauthorized eyewear, or the failure of any player to wear the proper eyewear is grounds for immediate removal from the event.
3. Engagement 3-1: Players shall refrain from shooting at targets within 10 feet. Within 10 feet, players shall refer to the use of the “Bang” rule (3-2) or the “POW“ rule (4-1).
3-2: The Bang rule shall be used, whenever a player has another player “dead to rights” within 10 feet, or when close enough to another player that their disadvantage is obvious. The Bang rule shall not be used around corners or barricades, or over the edge of a platform or elevated position.
3-3: At no time is a player to shoot at any target that is directly below them. Shooting over the edges of structures, such as the castle walls is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate penalty on the offending player. All players shooting from elevated positions must have two hands on their weapon and direct line of sight on their target (3-4).
3-4: Blind fire will NOT be permitted. All players must have visual contact with their targets, without the use of camera or mirror devices. If a player cannot look down the sights of their weapon, to see their target, they may not shoot at it.
3-5: Players who are “Bang killed” are not able to be healed by a medic. (8-7)
4. Prisoners of war / Searching Subjects 4-1: Players shall NOT make physical contact with other players, at any time.
4-2: Players who get within 10 feet of another player, and who have “the drop” on said player may take them POW. While pointing their weapon at their opponent, the POW taker must state “P.O.W.”. If the POW taker mistakenly states “Bang”, they have just killed their potential POW & that player cannot be taken POW.
4-3: Players being taken POW must follow the instructions of the POW taker.
4-4: POW takers may search their POW for weapons, or intelligence. This is accomplished by being within an arm’s reach and telling the POW “I’m searching you”. This entire sentence must be said while within an arm’s reach. POWs must then tell the POW taker where any and all of their personal weapons are and turn over any and all documentation they have, with the exception of mission sheets issued by OC staff that is marked “No search.”
4-5: POWs shall retain the custody of their weapons, but may not use them unless the POW taker turns their attention away from the POW. POWs shall not attempt a “quick draw” to shoot their POW taker & may only access hidden weapons if the POW taker turns their attention away and if the POW taker did not conduct a search.
4-6: POWs shall remain in the custody of their captor for 15 min, unless rescued by members of their team.
4-7: In the event of a POW capture, the POW taker must notify an OC, in person, or on channel 1, for accurate score keeping & timing of their release.
4-8: A player may only take one POW at a time.
4-9: Even if a player has not been taken POW, they may be searched. The searching player must be within an arm’s reach of the subject and say the full sentence "I’m searching you". The entire sentence must be said, while within an arm’s reach. There will be no running up to, chasing or passing someone, while yelling the sentence. As with POWs, the searched player must give up any intelligence documents they are caring & inform you of any weapons. The searched player may not use their weapons until after contact has ended & both players have separated far enough that sight of each other has been lost.
4-10: A player may only search one other player at a time.
5. Conduct 5-1: Players shall refrain from arguments and engaging in any activities that may jeopardize future air soft events at Apocalypse.
5-2: Any and all disputes shall be brought to the immediate attention of an OC.
5-3: Players must remember that we are guests of Dave and must clean up after themselves. We are not paintballers, we have a reputation of being responsible and clean, let’s keep it that way!
5-4: Arguments with OC staff will result in a player’s immediate removal from the event & possibly further ones. If you argue with an OC, the OC WILL win.
5-5: Players shall refrain from calling another player “out” or “hit”. The only people who can call a player hit are that player & an OC. Calling other players out shall be deemed as unsportsmanship & may result in the offending player receiving a penalty. Do not let other players bad habits affect yours. __________________

6. Pyrotechnics 6-1: There will be no use of personal pyrotechnics at Apocalypse. Any player who violates this will be expelled immediately. If it has a fuse, don’t even ask!
6-2: Smoke will be allowed, as long as it is “cold burning” smoke. Notify an OC if you intend to light smoke, whenever possible, so that we may monitor it & you may play on.
6-3: At NO TIME is ANY player to touch any of the marker devices for staff-laid pyrotechnics. Any player caught intentionally touching any pyro will be immediately removed from this and ALL future TFD events. Any player caught tampering with our pyro will be detained by staff & turned over to local law enforcement to be criminally charged!
7. Penalty cards 7-1: Players will be issued two cards at the beginning of the event. These cards will have assigned colors, for infractions. Any player who is asked for a penalty card, by an OC, must surrender it immediately. Do not argue with the OC if they ask for your card. (5-4)
7-2: It is the responsibility of each player to safeguard their cards. If a player cannot find their cards, when asked by an OC, the OC shall have no choice, but to believe that player’s cards have already been taken by other OCs and the player may be ejected.
7-3: Any player found to have counterfeit cards will be ejected.
8. Respawn / 1st aide 8-1: Medics will be deployed. Teams may have 1 (one) medic per squad. Medics will have 1st aide packets and will be able to treat wounded players with them.
8-2: If struck by a BB, a player is “wounded” and must sit with their kill rag on their head (or red glow stick in night games) for 5 min. In that 5 min, the wounded player may use their radio, or call out for help. Wounded players are still in play, but cannot operate weapons. Wounded players may also still act as forward observers, until their 5 min are up. At that point the wounded player is dead & must respawn. Wounded players must wait the full 5 min, before returning to respawn. This rule does not apply to players who have been BANG killed. Bang killed players are dead immediately & must respawn. Wounded players may be “finished off” by their opponents by being bang killed, to prevent them from talking or passing info over the radio. The bang killed player must then respawn. (8-7)
8-3: If a player is wounded, they may be treated by another player, using the wounded player’s 1st aide kit. (Issued at registration and at respawn) Hold the pressure bandage to the wound for one min. After that min has passed, the bandage can be opened & it will reveal the wounded player’s fate.
8-4: If a Medic reaches the player within 5 min of that player’s being shot, the medic will conduct the 1st aide measures they have been taught. At the end of those measures, the medic will open the pressure bandage, to reveal the wounded player’s fate. If the player is “alive” they must keep their bandage on and they may re-join the fight. If the player is “dead”, they must respawn. Use of medics, will be more successful then personal 1st aide kits.
8-5: Players may not treat their own wounds. Players must have another player administer 1st aide. This includes Medics. Only Medics may use Medic kits.
8-6: Respawns will occur, from that player's respawn point, at the quarter of each hour (Ex. 1000Hrs, 1015Hrs, 1030Hrs, 1045Hrs, ect.....)
8-7: Players who are “Bang killed” are considered to have been shot in the head & unable to be healed by a medic. Players who are bang killed must respawn without medic attempts.
8-8: Red “Kill rags” are required for all players. Anyone choosing to play in night games must also carry a red glow stick or red LED/bicycle reflector type light, to be substituted for a kill rag.
9. Radios 9-1: OC staff shall operate on FRS channel 1.
9-2: Woodland players shall operate on FRS channels 2, 3, 4 and 5. Game information from OCs shall be provided on channel #2.
9-3: 3 color desert players shall operate on FRS channels 6, 7, 8 and 9. Game information from OCs shall be transmitted on channel #6.
9-4: No other channels or sub-channels are permitted, unless explicitly directed by the game coordinator, for a speciffic detail. The use of any channel, or sub-channel, not authorized by the coordinator, is grounds for removal from the game.
9-5: No player is permitted to be on any channel that is not assigned to their team.
9-6: All players are responsible to ensure that their radios are in good working order & free of defect. Players shall inspect their radio & it’s placement in their gear, prior to the game, to ensure that their radio will not have such issues as a “hot mic” or “VOX”. Any player whose radio ruins communications for others, will lose the right to use their radio & further personal penalty may occur (Penalty card).
10. Uniforms 10-1: Starting with the first TFD event in 2008, uniforms shall be 3 color desert (DCU) and woodland BDU uniforms. No other uniforms shall be substituted or accepted. DO NOT ASK.
10-2: Players must remain in uniform at all times that they are in play.
10-3: Head covers must be worn with your uniform. Head covers must match your team’s uniform in terms of color. (Black & green for woodland / Tan & earth for 3 color desert)
10-4: Web gear and load out does not need to adhere to uniform requirements, so long as that equipment is not worn for the purpose of confusing or disguising what team a player is on. Anyone who displays load out gear that could make their team affiliation confusing to other players is subject to being refused the use of that equipment.
10-5: The use of ghillie suits is permissible, so long as the colors of the suits adhere to the team’s uniform codes. (Black & green for woodland / Tan & earth for 3 color desert) If the base colors of the suit are not visibly identifiable to one side or another, it’s use will not be authorized.
11. Chain of Command / Squad assignments: 11-1: Each team will have a chain of command. Game information, missions and assignments shall be passed to the players via the chain of command. Players are required to follow the instructions given to them, as they will be from game organizers. Any player who does not follow their chain of command shall be subject to removal from the event and future TFD sponsored events.
11-2: Each team will have one Commanding Officer (CO), one Executive Officer (XO), Platoon Leaders and Squad Leaders. The number of Platoon Leaders and Squad Leaders shall be determined by the number of players at the event.
11-3: Squads will have one Squad Leader, one Medic, one Heavy Weapons Specialist (HWS) and one Communications Specialist (CS).
11-4: Platoon Leaders shall be responsible for caring out the Commanding Officer’s tasks, by assigning specific duties to their squads. Platoon leaders may play along side their squads, or serve as a liaison to the Command staff, as determined by their team’s CO. Platoon Leaders are reminded that this is a game and that they should try not to take their job so seriously that they ruin the fun for their subordinates.
11-5: Squad leaders shall be responsible from receiving specific tasking orders from the Platoon Leader and directing their squads as they carry out those orders. Squad leaders are reminded that this is a game and that they should try not to take their job so seriously that they ruin the fun for their squad members.
11-6: Heavy Weapons Specialists shall be the only member of the squad, authorized to carry SAWs, grenade launchers and / or rocket launchers. Heavy Weapons Specialists may task other members of their squad with caring ammo for their heavy weapons, but only they may use them.
11-7: Communications Specialists shall serve as their squad’s radio operator and are the only member of the squad allowed to be on any of the radio channels assigned to their team. All other squad members must stay on whatever channel their squad has been assigned. Communications Specialists may not “scan” channels, as this will take them to the other team & private OC channels.
12. Vehicles: 12-1: No personal vehicles will be permitted to be used at TFD events, unless previously authorized by event coordinators from TFD. This shall include bicycles, mopeds and any other transportation devices.
12-2: In certain events, TFD may have vehicles on scene for use. Vehicles will be ONLY be operated by TFD staff, unless explicit consent has been granted otherwise by the vehicle owners.
12-3: In the case that players are authorized to ride in/on vehicles, those players wishing to do so MUST wear head protection. Head protection may include crash helmets, actual Kevlar U.S. issue helmets or any other helmet PREVIOUSLY authorized by the vehicle owner. Replica helmets do not qualify for use in this circumstance. Helmets must be inspected PRIOR to taking the field, to verify that they are not replica helmets.
