I think most ESS gogles if you can find them online ofr sale you can print out the specs on them and bring them with you.
As for the rules being anal...I have nothing else to say These are pretty much the same rules we play by here..I have nothing else to say If you dont like then dont go.

I'm mainly referring to the over abundance of ways they tell you to get kicked out. Of course i'm not gonna tough pyros, or jump on vehicles, etc. etc. It's the "penalty cards" that get me.
I'd also like to see the patch that I'll be sewing onto my uniform.

Hey guys, Just wanted to touch on a couple things I've read.
1. ESS goggs are fine... I know & deal with ESS products quite a bit, so don't worry about that.
2. Patches, as stated, do not have to be sewn on. They can be velcrowed, sewed, tied on with a shoe string for all I care, they just have to be displayed.
3. Apoc has handled up to 300 players before. This event is locked at 150. It's 62 ach. That's 2x the size of the MOUT site at Fort Knox, that manny of us have played at in the Lion Claws Op Irene seriese, with 1/2 the players.
4. Yes, the rules are stern sounding. That was intentional. Simply put, we don't want this to be a paintsoft game. We don't want the kids & imature crowd who play like jerks & don't call hits. The warnings to players, telling them that offences are punnishable by ejection, are there to prevent anyone from thinking they can come & do as they please. It's in an attempt to make it clear that the rules are to be followed, so that EVERYONE has a good time, not just the person who broke the rules to do it.
In the 4 events that TFD has hosted, since comming under new leadership, we have yet to eject a player. We HAVE confiscated some penalty cards & that has worked well to warn the offending parties.
The penalty cards are simple. It's a way for us to know if a player has already been warned for violating the rules by another OC, who may no longer be around & cannot identify the player as previously warned.
Again, Im glad that some of you are planning on the trip... Make sure you register as soon as it opens, so you don't miss out.
Any questions, please feel free to e-mail: bryanskaar@hotmail.com Please make sure you include Breedland in the subject, so I dont toss as "junk".

Sounds good, so are you planning on car pooling down with us and running in our squad?
Added note on to doc's post: He would like if you were coming with us to pm him before Feb 15th with your "Yes I'm coming with you" and at least $50 so that when registration (Feb 23rd at Midnight) rolls around he can go ahead and sign us all up at once. We are shooting for Woodland load-outs. PM doc for more information if your truly serious about coming.
Besides registration on this date. I also need to confirm the reservation for the place we will be playing in as well.
I will need the following information sent to me in a pm for registration to I can registar the whole team at one time.
Name(Full Name) Callsign: Date of Birth: Mailing Address: Phone Number:

I attended Red Venom there a few years back with several members from Team Socom and the Rat pack. The drive was long but with your team mates it isn't half bad. We wound up camping at a cap ground about 2 miles or so away from the event, which was nice to get away from the crowds. The field itself wasn't to bad. When I was there some of it was flooded, so I hope this isn't the same for you guys planning on going this year. The field is a nice change of different terrains. Your going to find a large wooden castle that nearly everything is based around, and is nearly impossible to take. After that there is a bunch of random speed ball fields mixed through out the acreage. I believe it's 4 or 5 paint ball fields. Though they combine all of them to make 1 decently large field. Beware of the paint ball slim, it will get you.

Ice, thanks & yes, the castle is hard to take, but there have been some recent additions that make the field a little less lop sided.
The back side of the swamp will be home to a new base being built as soon as the ground thaws. It will also be quite defendable, so if one team is able to capture the castle, the other SHOULD still be up for grabs.
There will also be a smaller opfor in the event, the mercinary force, protecting Breedland from both countries.... They will most likely be the ones you'll need to take outta the strong holds.

I might be up for this now that batman's clarified some things.
I have DCU BDUs, and a multicam PC. Will that be appropriate for this event? I'd prefer not to buy a vest just for this event, as I don't normally wear DCU.

We just dont want to see guys wearing a woodland uniform, with a DCU vest that has a groin plate, neck protector, shoulder pannels, ect.... That would just be too much to confuse someone at a distance. If it's just the vest & "normal" pouches your good to go.

Here it is moaevents.proboards46.com/index.cgiJust FYI, there will also be a forum board made available to all registered players after the rosters are set. It will be private to each side, so you can get your squads & plans squared away w/o any cross-information..... You are obviously welcome to use whatever forum you want, just wanted to let you know we will have one on the Spartan boards for players as well.
