I hate to bring the topic of camo requirements up again, but it irks at me. If this game will be as in depth as it sounds to be, wouldn't it make more sense to have camo requirements for each team closely follow the patterns used by the actual countries? I'm talking the possibility of multiple types of camo per faction in certain cases. If you want to get so into the milsim aspect wouldn't this make at least a little bit of sense? The need to know the difference between Russian Flora and Normal woodland would just add a whole other level of realism. It may be hard to distinguish between certain teams, but if everyone knows what kind of camo the countries use, it shouldn't be that big of a problem. ZTo a certain extent I'm going to go out on a limb and say that if I play on the Russian team, I would like almost everyone else to be as much a Russian military junkie as I and even hear some Russian chatter on the radio.
Those are just my thoughts though, I'm still in even if nothing ends up changing.

Hey Everyone, Just got online for the first time ina couple days... busy with field operations IRL, so I won't be making many posts again until the 4th. I'll try to get thru all the PM's I've gotten tonight. Again to address the camo patterns, I understand it may bother some people but also understand this is based on futuristic & fictional events. MILSIM doesn't just mean the camo you wear... It is the simulation of military TTP's, TLP's, Commo, S2, S4 and other elements that are performed Real World. The only other factor in this is that few people would be willing to dish out the dough for russian flora, german flectarn, or british DPM unless they have it already... and then getting roughly 70 other people to do the same.. now you are talking dang near impossible. I hope this resolves all questions. If you have any more feel free to direct them to me, but be advised I may not be able to respond until evening of December 4. P.S. Thank you for updating the initial post mods Cheers, Intimidator

This could be a stupid question, but are there going to be 6 teams fighting eachother at one time?

TAM, I think it's supposed to be Western Coalition Vs. Communist Coalition. I guess we'll have to wait and see what he says, though.

Hate to keep bringing this up...but wouldnt it make the slightest bit more sense just to switch Delta force's camo with the one listed for SEALS? Seeing as how SFOD-D is actually a division of the US ARMY and the ACU is their uniform?
Just a thought...and a simple change for more realism

tupopoflungo; actually you are correct on the seals and delta, that should but switched, that was a typo on my part. To Relish and Actionman, the scenario has the possibility to be west vs east, or any other combination, depending on what the players "choices" based on "intel" are. As I said it is a dynamically involved scenario. Your choices will affect who you fight, who's fighting you, how much you know about them and they know about you, starting territory, and more.

I just got chills thinking about how awesome this idea is. It almost sounds as if its futuristic RISK with actual people! I have two questions. 1.) Are you accepting ideas? If so, where can I send them? 2.) I have no idea whatsoever where I will be in 2010, so, if I sign up for the event, take a few classes, and then end up not being able to go, am I penalized or anything like that? (It would be months before the actual event took place) An example would be if I was accepted to Cal. Tech. in California, I might not be able to cover the travel expenses.

Hey Everyone, I'm now back online for the next couple days atleast . To answer the questions I've seen so far. 1) Anyone who is not 18 at the time of the event MAY be able to attending pending what we hear from the insurance groups. 2) The dates will be narrowed down within the next couple months so that military types and others can have it penciled it. 3) There are no penalties for signing up now and not being able to attend; although once we take registration fees (6-8 months prior to event) we will NOT be refunding unless: A) The event does not take place B) Extrenuating circumstances on the registered player. Lastly there will be a lot more updates going on in the next couple days... as I basically plan everything out while I don't have internet access, then post it all up when I do... with that said keep sending your registrations in. One thing I've noticed is that people are putting their mailing addresses but neglecting to add their city, state, and zip. As far as people who are concerned about travel, we are already in the planning phases of getting large groups chartered to and from the event to cut travel fees. Cheers, Intimidator P.S. Ideas can be PM'd to me on here. Additional Information: AFTER you have signed up for the operation on here, please go to this site: michigan6mm.proboards.com From there, sign up with the name you registered with. This is the site that all information will be posted on, and you will receive your password for your individual section. The "Intel" and "Events" that happen will begin to occur once our roster reaches an 80% level, as we want most players to have an input on everything that happens Thirdly, the information on this event plus other stuff will soon be up, located at Michigan6mm.com Thanks for your patience guys.
