Very short notice but still VERY interesting.

Operation Immediate Response:
Terrorists have taken a construction site in Maccomb county and are holding the employees hostage. Rapid response teams from the FBI and Maccomb County sheriffs office are being mobilized, but their ETA is too high to gamble with. SEMTEX operatives and supporting fire teams are being ordered to duty to smother this volitile situation.
Location: TBA
Time: 7PM Saturday July 27th, 2002 - 7AM Sunday July 28th, 2002
It is widely known that there is a SEMTEX training event earlier in the day...Operatives will be drawn from the pool of attendees. Relief operatives will hopefully attend from Romeo, Detroit, Saint Clair Shores, and Grosse Pointe. 20 team members would be an optimal number for this operation. You gentlemen have your marching orders...lets get those hostages.

It says the time 7PM to 7AM Viking but more info would be nice. I would like to know if you guys planning on playing all night and who is hosting this game?

Trooper is actually hosting the op...it will go on with a couple people most likely...
work screwed me over this week...dunno if i'll be able to make either op on Saturday.
Working 12-10ish....
so a max of a half hour at Vikings... and late to the op in Warren...

Tempest, Tabomabi and myself can probably come if it's cool with all you guys... we'll need to buy some bbs. I'll be sure if I can come later this afternoon.
EDIT- Ok Chuck and I are going for sure now I'll talk to Tabo. See you guys tonight.
EDIT-Whats the list so far? All I know of is Chuck myself Bigmack, Trooper, and Tommy isnt coming.

I just want to know what is with the time why is this going from 7 PM to 7 AM is everyone planning on playing all night or sleeping there.

Well wasn't that exciting and ammusing. I didn't think airsoft could be so real but there you go. In case you didn't come to this event then you don't know why I am saying this. The cops were called and raided us. All I heard was "Freeze, everyone down to the ground." They asked all of us for our name, address, phone number. Unfortunetly none of us had the red on the barrel. Bigmack and Trooper were handcuffed but later let go. As for our guns they are all confiscated but we get to keep the mags. I will post more on this when I am home alone so no one walks in and sees me typing this.

short and bitter:
A) Trooper and his friend didn't get the proper permissions...didn't tell the cops
B) neighbors called the cops.. 6-7 squad cars showed up...with an SRT on the way.
C) Cops came in...took 15-20 AEG's and GBB's...
D) tried scare tactics on us...etc etc. threatened us with jail time and records...
E) cops let us all go...minus our guns.
in other words...we've lost about 3500 dollars alltold.

I say we take a poll....Worst skirmish EVER. Although I didnt go...thankfully I might add, I sympathisize with those that lost their guns, except for the event organizer. Serves you right for hosting such a crappy game...may you never get your guns back.  |
