Connors, a suggestion as far as conflicts go for the future. Refs need to take arguements off the field. I was positioned in range of the embassy when an arguement started. All I could see was enemy targets and movement. I fired some bursts, waited, then fired some more since no one called hit. I fired a third volley when everyone screamed from that direction to stop shooting and they aren't playing.
If you aren't playing get your freakin' kill rags on and get off the field!
Please advise refs to take all conversations off the field so we players don't shoot at people that shouldn't be hit.

Thanks for the suggestion C, I will be sure to bring it up at our next team meeting. I did notice a bit of that going on myself, usually with one ref in particular(no name will be given). But, like I said, yesterday was a massive clusterfuck.
Do you happen to know which refs were involved, players involved, or where this situation took place?
Corey, Myself, Warpig, Bonesaw and the rest of SFOD are going to do our best to get all the bugs sorted out(and there are A LOT) before BD II, or we'll just have the same mess all over again, minus the tornado weather.

Well yesterday I had a lot of fun. I was incredibly hot, and with my not so minor cold, it made things pretty difficult, but I still had a blast. Im never disappointed when I come out to get some good airsoft time in. It really seems like its not the playing that makes it great (no doubt playing airsoft is freaking amazing and I love it), its the people that make the day unforgettable. Im not lying when I say I got up that morning on Saturday, and felt like total shit, and even told myself I shouldn't go, but I thought of all the fun I would have missed out on, and Im glad I came.
I did have to leave at lunch after a sudden stroke of energy drain. I had about enough energy to drive home, and drag myself to Kikijiki (Alex)'s Graduation Party. But I popped a few more feel good pills and I was partying for a while.
During actual gameplay at SFOD:
Before Lunch: Wow! Adrenaline out the ass. Thank you VMAX for being awesome. That was a huge rush being inside the city with bb's flying everywhere, everyone shouting, mud spewing on everything. One of the more memorable moments in my more advanced airsoft experiences.
After Lunch: Didnt get to play, but my WA 1911 did chrono at 280 fps consistently with .25's on Duster Gas. So I was really happy with that.
All in all, great day. We need better Camo restrictions, but thats up to SFOD. I know everyone's already said it, but so am I.
Also, EVERYONE, noob or not, call your damn hits. I saw and heard a lot of shit about that. I know everyone has also said this, and I hate to be redundant, but Im saying it too. I dont claim to have called 100% of all the hits in my life, but at least I try really hard to feel them when I can, and be as honest as I can. I think you all should do the same. I applaud you if you already do, because it really makes it that much better when the vast majority call it.
Cant wait to get out there with everyone again.

Because the guy was a prick to me and would have likely not admitted to it. I've said it before Laxy, I have no problems with you, but I haven't been impressed at all with the guys you run with the last 2 times at SFOD, lots of hits not being called. And again... white bb's really show up on black BDU's, it's hard to deny being hit when it can so blatantly be seen. So come find me! It's not like we didn't run into each other a half a dozen times. All I'm asking is, if there is a problem and you don't want to talk to the person involved, please bring it to my attention personally and as soon as possible so I can try and resolve it. Understand my position where this is something that could have been handled privately instead of here.

I forgot to add, I think things went exceptionally well the third game. The replenishment of bricks out into the field worked well. I also liked the alteration of spawns, putting them more in the field made it more fair as well as a more realistic area to attack from.

I forgot to add, I think things went exceptionally well the third game. ....Untill the sky turned funny colors. The gold replenishment was indeed a good thing to do. We were actually doing it all morning as well during the first game. Not sure if anyone caught on, but the 2 man SFOD ref teams walking in and out of the gold deposit with the woodland bag, that was gold replenishment. Many times we dropped 'em off, people seeing us walking around and stopping, and those bricks were still there later on. I'd have thought people looking right at us would have caught on a tad quicker. In the 3rd game, when we re-instated the gold scenario, peopeel were actually brigning in gold soo fast, that we had to use the Ranger to replenish it, and by the time we got back to the depositry, maybe 5mins later, there was some 20-30 more bars to re-disperse. I commend all who made that happen. You guys really knew what to look for. But, I have to ask, did anyone find the monster brick by the newest fort-the fort on the lower path comming in the the side of the city opposite D-Day? It was right op on the property line, right up near the barbed wire boundry fence.

We had it, and brought it into the city. From what it sounds like, the guy who had it in the city got shot and dropped it there. I'm not sure if we ever got it into the reserve or if it was lost. I know it got to the city though.

I have nothing else to say, me and Tex went looking for it for a bit, but then lunch was called so we gave up on it.

This was my second event (both have been at SFOD) and I must say that I was far from disappointed. The gold brick idea was really good and I liked it. As usual I had a blast and had fun shooting people. I do however had a few suggestions and complaints. Complaints 1. People not calling hits (but thats every game and little we can do to stop it) 2. People shooting long before they knew if that person was a enemy or not (I was shot a couple times by friendly fire) 3. People not paying attention during briefing. I found it irritating because I could always say what Gene (Mayhem)? was saying because people were talking. 4. When you die, please move from your hiding spot and put a kill rag on. I accordantly lit the same two guy up 3 different times because I never heard a "I'm hit", seen a kill rag, or didn't move from where they were shot. Whoever I did light up 3 times I am SORRY (it was the beginning of game 3 and there were two guys standing just in front of the gold deposit building. You two were looking toward the swamp) I had no indication that either of you were out. SORRY. Suggestions 1. The community spawn was a good idea, but it was hell trucking up the hill every time I died. 2. I know its hard as the city is the center of the field, but try not to make the city the focal point of the game. At OP: Red Dawn and OP: Gold Rush, if you could take the city and the keep, you won. 3. If you want to run the scenario again, I would set all the gold through the middle of the field and have a separate collection point for each team. This would give the opposing team the option to just collect gold or even try to raid enemy store houses for more gold. And as a side note, how come the government side got stuck with all the annoying 10 year olds who that they were the best ? Thanks again to SFOD and the property owners for allowing us to have such a great time

I know, but it still sucks. I think about half of the government side was under the age of 15 and no taller than 5ft. This made accomplishing anything, damn near impossible.

Connors, I don't know who the ref was, but I did see it happen a couple of times, the big one was at the embassy but other than that I can't tell you. I don't know the SFOD guys enough yet.
BRING KILL RAGS PEOPLE!
Camo regs where the major reason for the Charlie Foxtrot. Most of the time the torso is what is exposed and when everyone on the field is wearing a tshirt it's impossible to tell who is who. Perhaps armbands would be the way to go for the heat of the summer game so people don't have to wear their bdus( I chose to keep my bdus on so I wouldn't get killed by my own team).
It would be nice to get a downed pilot that one team has to retrieve from one side of the field and take him back to a home base while the other team sets up ambush.
I like your senarios that require the flags at the bases but you need more flag points with the number of people that are always at your field. Maybe two more?
I can't stress enough how much I hate your spawn point. I don't think I have explained why so here it goes. Whenever anyone dies they have to walk right up the middle of the battlefield being able to scope out where every single person is, sometimes being completely behind enemy lines. If you have spawn points at the opposite ends of the field you will get less of this. My gun is to hot for the city so I always cover the flanks and I can't tell you how many times my position has been given up by dead men walking by me then telling others about my position.

Well.... This was my first real event and it turned out to be pretty good. While there was a breakdown of "epic proportions" in the 2nd game, and people weren't calling all their hits...it was still fun. It was great meating some of you guys, and incredidbly awkward. I hope to get to know you all better during some of the other events. All my transactions went smoothly and I want to thank Tex and Laxrider...and I can't remember who sold me the MAG brand mag, but thanks a ton. I lost the mag already by the way Anyway, all in all it got my adrenaline pumping and was pretty fun. I want to thank SFOD and all the guys for your hospitality and help. -Chicken

Also, on the subject of not calling hits, The group of children that hung out in the gazebo, you were overheard conversing about how you blatently did not call your hits. Now, I don't know who you all were, or what team you were with, but it was a major dissappointment. DONT LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN. I was not with the kids at the gazebo but I was standing over there and and sitting there ( I was the one passing out free water in the cooler) I heard the kids bragging about how great they were getting 20 kills and NO deaths, I heard them saying that they got shot many times and did not call there hits. I know most of them said they did not read the forum but I vote to ban them from future matches until they grow up. I would like to thank mayhem and his son chaos for there help, and for letting me use there charger. also thank you vmax for the alieve.

I had a lot of fun. The first game went pretty much flawlessly (Go Civies!!), but after that it went downhill. The second game was a disaster with people not calling their hits and with there being no objectives at all.
The third game got a little better. The scenario came back but the biggest problem I had was people switching sides. I saw a few people that were on the civies for the first 2 games decide that they were just going to switch sides wearing the same uniform without telling anyone. One guys explanation was "Oh..I'm a traitor.." Yea..real nice to let us know that before you lit my ass up.
