Already put it on AO, actually. A 9.6v batt is the only upgrade I'm going to do in terms of power. I'm looking at installing some sort of hi-speed gear set and maybe some bearings, though I've heard more bad things than good things. I want to have 3 settings on my trigger group: Safe, Auto, and 3 round burst. ;D Heh heh heh.

I saw that after i posted here.
You've taken the gun down further than i have, that little button inside the front of the trigger guard, is it functional in any way, or just ornamental?
last question...Is your gun in your lap, too?

No, it's actually resting near the battery charger, but... I do confess to oddly wanting to hold it at times. ;D
The button on the inside of the trigger guard seemed to be ornamental, and I didn't examine it that much, but it seemed like it might push on the mech box some.

Safe, Auto, and 3 round burst Is the 3 round burst for looks or does it actually work?

What I meant was, I want my gun to have such an insane ROF, it'll shoot 3 BB's on the single fire setting. Some guns will do that when they're shooting over 1000RPM.

by adding rof, you do actually mean battery space, USUALLY (dont hold me to this) 9.6v batteries are somewhat differnt shaped than standard 8.4vts. They are usually fatter, longer, wider, or simply stubborn. You need a 9.6v battery or a new motor to up your rof. Upgrading the internals such as springs and gears up your fps. I wasnt sure if you knew that because you said you werent going to have to worry about battery spacew but you were going to u pthe rof. Correct me if im wrong/. WOAH TOTALLY FORGOT TO READ THE WHOLE LAST PAGE!!! Yeah jacki, ever since i got my sr, i have carried it around the house, aimed it at my cats, and simply looked at it for loing periods of time. Holding it makes me feel important and freakishly powerful though its only an airsoft gun/. dont be worried, everyone feels the same way about their gins, i deceided she is called sarah now and shes a nice little 16 year old oops thats statchitory , I have nothing else to say get it , SR = SaRa eah i thought of it all on my own. yeah jacko, my scope, bipod and ghillie suit are all on their way, ordered, payed for and ready to go, my scope comes in monday. peace

By adding a high speed motor and high speed gears, you don't need to increase the battery voltage. Infact, it can up the rof too high and be damaging. there was a thread on AO not too long about getting a high rof set up. So no, i won't need to worry about battery space. that thread; www.airsoftohio.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?topic=6421&forum=14&9

I won't be adding a high speed motor to the gun, just hi-speed, or super hi-speed gears and perhaps ball bearings instead of bushing. I'm leaving the piston, spring, and cylinder stock.

On the topic of uping ROF, ive put a 150% spring in my AEG. The rate of fire dropped a little, which is what i expectd, if high speed gears are installed will they still power the spring just fine? Or will Torque up gears up the ROF again?

Torque is what increases your FPS, not your ROF. Also, hi-speed gears aren't rated for more than an M100, and if you use tougher springs than that, you run the risk of sripping the teeth from the gears. From what I understand, when it comes to airsoft rifles, you either have more FPS, or more ROF, but never both at once.

What you're going to need to do is get a larger battery if your gun can hold it. If i can't hold it internally, look into external options. I have the battery for my PDW on the stock. Newman has had his both on the stock and under the foregrip of his M4. Depending on the gun, there may be a custom 9.6v battery that will fit it. Check www.airsofttoys.com to see if they carry one. High speed gears or a high speed motor will have adverse affects on the piston and the gears, they aren't very acceptable to use with a high tension spring. Like jacko said, you get ROF or you get FPS, there's no way to get both in an aeg. If there were, we'd all have 400 fps 1200 rpm aegs.

You guys really know how to get off track don't you? Any way the G36C does use the mini batteries that WTS sells doesn't it? I undserstand if that sounds like a dumb question , but on a web site wher I do a lot of my airsoft research (www.redwolfairsoft.com) they sell a battery that was made just for the G36C and I wasn't sure if thats all it could use.

Oh yeah I would like to be one that stands up for the MP5, granted I think that the P90 does look like crap in my opinion. I think that the MP5s are a sleek, modern gun that doesn't look like its showing off.

Yes it uses minis. The one that's "for" the G36C is probably a custom.
