woah there Petey P90, you must have forgot, i have an sr16vmatch now too. so i can have you in my scope crosshairs and then my mp5 sights in no time, with the right angle and situation, it could rip you a new one, note im not making a threat i am saying you totally 2nd person omniciontly. It is quiet accurate and keeps me warm at night, i htink im going to call her sarah. Ah who knows, who cares im just happy that i got to shoot it but damn too bad its wrapped and under the tree already , i should unrap it and rewrap it. yeah i am only 510 an dithink that the p90 is even way too small for me, i think i am small until i get next to that , kinda like when you stand next to a little kid at the urinal, when you take a peek you get a nice little boost of confidence, not that i do or anything, i like the gun from splinter cell, but not the p90, though very similair, the SC gun is bigger=ballsier.

now theres a gun to love, the ak is probably the greates piece of weaponry ever to be assembled, the mauser Kar98 isnt so bad either. Those two guns are MY icons of perfect weapons engineering. You could leave you ak outside in the rain, while a dog pees in the barrel and a cat shits in the chamber, and still fire it like theres no tomorrow. Same goes fo rthe mauser, one of myal time favorite rifles. The only reason i dont have an ak47 right now, is cause i sold mine before the spetznax series came out, way before any cheaper alternatives to the open sights came out. Another reason is because of the clips and their massive size and shape, trying to find a u.s. style tac vest with a russian made assult rifle clip ouch, very hard to find. I was considering buying a spezt but then i realized that i wanted a sniper rifle. Well, i gove you props blorfo, you have a nice gun, (not the p90 that is I have nothing else to say) i appreciate anyone with a ak47 because they reall know a reliable gun. But to the question of whos gun will rape whos, i guess that comes down to the player, so until then, dont drop your only good lookking gun in the snow. later p.s. nothing in there was mean to burn blorfo becuase after all, he is a pretty decent guy. If anyhitng came out wrong and you take it the wrong way, well thats your problem and you need to get over it. Later derick

The AK47 was designed to take punishing mistreatment, and is probably the most durable rifle ever created, but would you take an AK into a real firefight if your opponents had real M16s and G36s? The AK47 is fine for airsoft, but you should count on being the "terrorist" or "gang member" if you want a realistic milsim.

wel, i was talking vietnam era, besides, most of the vietnamise dont know how to fire guns, theyh spray and prey, aks have some kick, but thats why you dont go fully auto. And in early vietnam, I woul dmore than definatley rather had a ak47 than a ar15 or crappy m16. they were jun then but they have more than improved. But i fyou want to talk new weapons, i would stick wiht an m4a1, n og36 for me. and please, wear glove when shooting guns covered in cat piss and dog shit

Uh, Derick, uuummm... are we speaking of the same Vietnamese who were handedly kicking some French butt before we even got a chance for our own U.S. soldiers to go over there and get their hineys shot off? (God bless them for going too) Sorry... a little off topic, so...I think the AK is a beautiful airsoft gun, but I don't have an educated opinion about the real steel version. It does seem to have a bit of a "bad guy's gun" image, doesn't it.

Derick, the AK47 has relatively low recoil by its very nature (recoil/gas operated). And not to sound morbid, but US soldiers killed over a million Vietnamese in that conflict; we lost 47,000. Guess they just really wanted to annex the south -- and what a great nation it has become.

The AK got its 'bad guy' rep because its so easy to come by in the real steel world. Ive been told its the most common assult rifle, and never heard anything to make me believe otherwise. And who better to look for an assult rifle then a 'gangster' or some terrorist group?

So, here we go, now that I've got my hands on this thing: First Impressions: Wow! This is a heavy weapon! I would equate the weight to my SR-16, even though it's 2/3's the size. The only creaks I can hear are coming from the forward sling mount. it's a bit loose, but it looks like I could tighten it a bit by removing some excess material. There's only one area of the gun that has trades, a small rectangle that's up and to the left of the left side trigger group. WGC used temporary putty on this here. Removing the blaze orange flash hider was easy enough and the gun looked ready for action! The folding stock is solid, with metal being used for the hinges. A large button on the left hand side disengage it for folding, and the stock secures (Quite firmly) to the brass deflector behind the ejection port. The charging handle is the long 'rod' that ride along the upper reciever. To charge the first round (AKA, get to the hop-up), you simply pull a lever to either side of the gun (Seen below, the large red circle) and then pull back. Voila. The mag looks great with the fake rounds. You can't see where the BB tube is at all, from any side. It's very light, even loaded. About half the weight of an unloaded M16 mag, which makes sense as the G36 mags are plastic through and through. Firing: Taking off the front forearm is as easy as pushing a pin out. (As seen above, the smaller red circle) You can do this with one hand, and the entire assembly slides out on rails. Once the forearm is off, you can see the fuse, fake recoil spring and fake gas block. The flash hider screws on to the outer barrel about an inch from the gas block. This will come in handy when I make a K version. I hooked up a mini battery to the gun, filled up the mag and went outside. The mini battery was 9.6v, 1700 mah and fully charged. TM included a small pack of .25 BB's, which suprised me. I figured I would recieve .2 grams instead. The first shot put a big divet in some triple-ply cardboard I had set out in the backyard , and the auto fire was nice and crisp. The gun is quiet, much more quiet than my SR-16, and the hop-up was already well adjusted for the .25 weight BB's. The Rails: A lot has been said about the rails being some wierd size and nobody's accessories fitting. The truth is, the rails aren't the correct size... for HK accessories. For standard weaver accessories, the rails work great. The vert. grip for my SR-16 fits on the forearm rail fine, as does my 42mm Blazer red dot sight. The only people who have to owrry are those who bought authentic HK accessories. You can buy an adaptor for about $40 for those accessories, however. (Not that I believe anyone here has some).

Thanks for the pics and info Jacko! Just a note, all of TM's AEGs come with the little baggy of .25g BBs, at least from what I've seen.

Great mini-review, Jacko. Now i'm really looking forward to getting mine. I'll see if i notice anything that i can expand on, but it looks like you've covered pretty much all of the basics. You don't happen to have a chrono, or another stock gun to compare to, do you?
Did you get a second mag with it? How is the built in mag clamp system.
That battery you used, was it the "U" [or "V', they'r the same thing, just depends on where you buy it] shapped battery for the M4? Did that fit in the foregrip, or did you leave it swingin' down?
