Hey sorry if I'm reviving a dead subject, but with a chance to possibly a new AEG within a month I'm hoping to get more info. about the guns I'm interested in. Any ways the G36C is pretty plasticy on the outside, and I heard from Andy that there is a metal frame on the inside of the gun. Sorry if I sound like I don't trust you Andy, but I just want to get all the facts . Is this true, and also I've seen RAS for it on www.planetairsoft.net/ about 1/8th of the way down, does any one know any thing about them other then just what it looks like?

I do believe there is metal reinforcements on the inside of the body. Let some of the G36 technically inclined guys confirm (or tell you I'm wrong ) and elaborate on this.

The mechbox does indeed reside inside of a metal frame that extends into the foregrip. The gun might seem overly 'plasticky' on the outside, but I hate to break it to you: The real steel gun is made of a high strength plastic polymer as well. At least here it doesn't seem out of place, like on, for instance an Ak-47.
The real RIS for the real G36 /wil/ fit on the TM G36C with some modification to the connector tabs. It costs a ton of money though it's at least widely available (Unlike the real steel forearms, which I've been futiley trying to find for less than $130 bucks.). They don't make a G36C version of the rail system, however, so you'll have to extend the outer barrel at least if you want to use the G36 or G36K version of the KAC RIS.
