For full story and pics click hereCan't really say I'm too pleased with the color scheme, but the new features and updates sound promising. From what I've heard the photos included in the article don't do the new pattern much justice (meant to look more muddier/browner) Guess its here to stay so, goodbye woodland.

Colors are blech, but not as bad as the new uniforms the Air Force are getting. Blue Tigerstripe.

Huh. I don't really know what to think of this. The considerations made for body armor are great, I can understand the switch to digital, the additional pockets are neat, and the moisture wicking clothing is very nice.. But I don't like the new slanted pocket design, the big emphasis on velcro, movement of the rank insignia/patches, and that horrible color scheme Sgt. Myhre is wearing. Looks like urban, I hope the "green-woodland" is more appealing. Bleh, I'll still join up. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Yeah, I hope that's the urban scheme they're showing.

My guess is they're still working with the idea of one BDU for all environs.
It's ugly (I don't like the digital patterns), and probably damned ineffective in wooded areas, due to the light patches...and probably ineffective in the desert too, due to all the dark stuff.
At least they found a design that won't work. *shrug*
That last pic does look like a different color scheme...wonder if it really is, or it's just that horrible under real sunlight.

Way to go Air Force; I feel confident knowing I'll blend in completely if I'm ever floating in Hawaiian sewage water... The new Army pattern isn't that bad.

I have to say the new uniforms design looks like it is much better then the standard woodland. I think the smaller breakdown in sheme, and duller cooler really would do a better job, when it comes to camo.

ugh... it's like the German Flecktarn shirt met the marpat digital and had all the pockets rearranged.
I never thought I'd say this, but I'll keep my woodland and my Flecktarn
