And by "playing" you mean shooting him, right frostee? ;D Anyway, I'm gonna go along with what's been said and say that it'd be nice if the FPS limits were raised a tad Newman. I mean, you said yourself that some of the members of FLAG have guns shooting over the FLAG limits, so wouldn't it be kind of a double standard to enforce the rules for everyone else, but not your own group? I think a flat limit of 400 (or even 380, whatever the hottest gun is shooting) FPS for AEGs would work OK, especially since the game is being held in a large outdoor area.

Snip, I can see why support weapons and standard weapons would shoot the same FPS. After all, a real steel M4 will shoot those 5.56 rounds just as hard whether it's using a drum mag or a 20 round shorty. I can, however, see folks with support weapons getting a bigger BB allowance (Though I think it'll be easy to get around that.).

Minky...I have never said there is any standard for measurement in regards to regular guns. With sniper and support rifles, it is a set limit. SR16 with c-mag is not a support weapon, by the way, it's just a regular gun with a large magazine (according to our rules).
We have two guys right now that shoot over 360 FPS...it's not a limit. Check out our rules. If you shoot over 360, we'll discuss whether or not it's allowable for our games and then decide if we need to impose any restrictions.
Considering you haven't played with us, I don't see how you can already be telling me I need to adjust the speed rules.
EDIT: And Frostee, man, you sure did have me going there for a while. I was scared. ;D

My mistake then, I was just skimming through the rules and saw "Maximum speed is 360 FPS", without noticing that applied only to support guns. And I wasn't suggesting a change in your rule set, I was suggesting a change for this specific event only. Didn't you used to have a rule about maxium spring strength or something though? Anyways, it's all moot now, so myeh. Another thought did just occur to me though. I feel sorry for those of us with hicaps that hold more than the initial amount of rounds given out.... it's gonna be rattle-city for a while.

4 standard M-16 mags is 272 BB's. Ooooh yeah. I won't be making the hi-cap shake when I'm out there. I'm getting more and more excited about this. Primarily because of the fact that I'll be self-sufficient for the whole 12 hours barring reload stops. And Minky, read through those rules again. Standard and support weapons are both suggested to be capped at 360.

Have fun carrying around a loading rod for those standards, and taking the time to do the ol loading tube shuffle. ;D Or, if you plan on carrying an auto loader..remember those things rattle too, hehe. Oh yeah, and I did read the rules.... Support guns have a set ceiling of 360, while normal guns have a suggested 360 limit. My hottest gun is around 369, so I should be good to go.

Auto loaders don't rattle when wrapped in a skull cap, as I found out at White Tunder. And they fit so well into M16 mag pouches!

Wait...Minky.... ;D
Does that mean...?
*grins*
Everyone, if you want to come, you need to post this: "(insert name here) is hereby registering for Operation: Ghost Dance, a 12 hour continuous scenario game played March 1st, on (insert registration date here)."
I will only add you to the master roster if you do that, ok?
Also, Minky, if you are somewhat serious about coming, there are no exceptions to contacting me about your gun and having a review if it is above the 360 FPS limit. We just have to keep everybody equal.

Jacko is hereby registering for Operation: Ghost Dance, a 12 hour continuous scenario game played March 1st, on 1/29/03. I'll be using a standard class weapon. I'd rather not have to lead (It's counter intuitive to how we operate). I'll be there all day and I'll be able to meet any uniform requirements.
I'm not sure which side though, I've got to speak with the team first.
EDIT: Newman, email me your mailing address so I can send you a check. I'm poor.

You can't do that, retard, the whole reason for the deposit is so he makes money if you don't show up.

Snip, it's not a pay to play event.
You give him the 15 as insurance that you will show up, when you do, he gives you the money back. It's a great way of making sure a ton of people don't drop on you and screw up your preset teams. So the event is completely free, if you show up. If you don't show up, Newman has a plan for the money (not to keep for himself, as i understand it).

It will just go to a FLAG bb purchase. I really would rather have people come than buy bbs, though, heh. If you want to pay the deposit, just private message me about it. I think I'm stuck with doing Money Orders/Cashier's Checks because my parents are wary of accepting money through PayPal, or just cash if you show up at regular game I think we'll be having on February 15th. EDIT: Just to pound this into everybody's head, I will be giving back the $15 deposit if you show up! We don't need any money to make this game happen.

Well, I want to do a personal check for 2 reasons:
A) It's not actually $15 out of my pocket as long as you don't cash it (And the only reason you should cash it is if I don't show up)
B) I can simply tear it up the day of the game and not worry about it.
EDIT: For spelling.
