I like the look of those delta force helmets. So what I did is took my brothers(hes like an amatuer pro)extra bmx helmet and put a camo cover over it and held the thing in place with electrical tape. If you want do this this is what you'll need. Cheap Walmart bmx helmet-10$ and a camo cover=5$(a cut out peice from old camo will work too). Anyways, it works good ,but mine was a lil' bit better.(it was a 30$ helmet because my bro is like almost pro ,but he got it for free and it doesnt fit him anymore) So mine is kinda more comfy. Also if you don't like the look of camo delta force helmets just buy a black 10$ walmart helmet.
Patrick
Pics soon waiting to get the rest of my camo to show it completley off. Iam also trying to think of a cheapier way to make assault vests.
edit:If this has been discussed before Iam sorry I didnt see that thread.

Hey Patrick, Think No More!! Here's a dandy idea, to make your own assault vest, from materials you probably already have laying around your parent's house. YES! DUCT TAPE!! Just make the pockets big enough to carry magazines **Caution** duct tape is very sticky and can be hazardous to work with if you are not careful.

Newman you need to stop basing your Delta outlooks souly on BH Down. I see no reason at all a Delta operative would not cammo his helm… it has a tactical advantage after all. Sheesh, movies.

Viking, I don't see why you think I'm trying to get the Black Hawk Down getup.
The only thing I was trying to find was his chest pouches (and aimpoint, which I was trying to find beforehand because it's on the SOPMOD picture).
Assumptions, assumptions. Grrr.

He knows I'm joking, hehe.
I'm sticking with my LBV right now anyhoo, but if I ever do plan on getting some tight gear, the Delta pouches will be #1 on my list.

Its not that I think your trying to copy BHD, it’s the fact that you pretty much ranted on lil’ Patrick here because he suggested a camo cover for a delta (well, bike helm but still) helm. When really, it is more realistic to put a camo cover on those helms, and I believe they didn’t do so in BHD for the viewer to more easily pick out the delta operatives among the rangers, sticking to that “cowboy” type stereotype of them, which BTW I thought was the only lame part of the movie, cool but not true and lame. “well this is my safety”

I seen the movie all the way up to the part where they were talking about how it was bad-luck to tape your blood type to your shoe and telling the new guy that he didnt need his canteen or night vision.
Also viking while your here I just want to know. If Iam allowed to go to any of the events at your airsoft battlefeild thingy.

Viking, read Black Hawk Down (the book, I have nothing else to say...for Patrick and the other youngins) and you'll notice that, "This is my safety," was an actual quote.
I have nothing else to say, and you thought it was just made up for the movie. ;D

Maybe it was an actual quote, but your going to tell me because its in the book, which again is BASED on the true events which makes it a bit fictional hence not every piece of dialog nor actions can be accounted for by one author your going to say it really happened? What’s the authors association with event anyhow? I dun never read that book, prolly wont either; on average I make it to about page two before I am asleep.
