Hmm, Smokey I find it extremely believable that arguably the most elite team in the world lives up to a “cowboy” image. I’m not gonna go off and lie and say I know any Delta Operatives or anything but I studied under a Navy Seal and have had many friend sin the military, and I find it extremely hard to find any Delta operative would disrespect a superior officer like in the movie. Especially sense a Delta Operative is a hardened veteran and knows better, I would hope so anyway.

Please read the book, Viking, you are saying exactly what most people would think. All of your questions are answered about the "cowboy image" in the book, and yes, that image is pretty true. The Delta guys are the cream of the cream (of the crop), and they know it. They really can't be touched, and show it. Read the book! And anyone who has read it, like me, will probably agree.

My favorite part of that book is when they talk abot erm... how can I say this... how about, making themselves happy in foreign lands. ;D

I totally agree with newman the movie was made to make money and tell a story but the book was written for a historical lesson
