Relax Bigmack don’t feel like we are pointing fingers. High caps are part o the game, we know this, and we are just stating opinions. Your right when on a budget you can’t go wrong with a high cap. But for me what I am doing is starting out with that high cap, then when I have spare change sitting around I will buy that standard, then down the road sometime I will pick up another until I have sufficient magazines to battle with. When just starting out don’t expect to much out of your wallet, if you do you will become me… always being in a bad mood waiting for my next darn paycheck to enter my hands where I can blow it all that night on airsoft stuff and then wait for my next pay check two weeks down the road. Just go slow, you don’t need everything immediately.

I really like the regular mags.
The only problem i have is with the expensive custom guns that I see on the net. All of them come with a slew of hi-caps, it's like those guns won't even take standards! I don't like the idea of a hi-mod M16 spewing out 600 rounds without a cough or pause.
I saw Bigmacks hi-caps in action (I even got one when I got my VN), I don't think they offer much of an advantage. I have had a few times in indoor games when I got bunkered while reloading; when that happends you feel like such a bitch!
The problem with Combat Missions is that we are all too smart. Three years ago I would think that C.M. is the best show ever! To the untrained eye I can see how it would be convincing. Don't compare it to airsoft, compare it to an obsticle course, a really cool obsticle course.
I think people should spend less on their gun and more on their appearance. A few dollars in props wouldn't hurt either...who wants to go halfers on a flashbang?

If you have cammo and cool web gear or something, I don't have a problem. I just don't like stait-up cammo and a gun with sneakers. I think it looks tacky. The best look I think I've ever seen in my life had to be the Desert Cammo/gear that the Delta Force wore in BHD.

Hmmm not me Actually I have a drop down tactical mag holder and SIG holster, web gear (h- harness) and VN jungle boots, woodland camo BDUs, Kevlar Hood, and I also like the standard mags. I have three for my XM, and I'm getting 1 high cap just incase I'm out numbered or something but thats the only time I will resort to it. It adds more realism to the game when you have to slap in a new mag. Ed- I agree the Delta guys get up in BHD was the coolest I have seen. Anywho back on subject, I just saw the third episode I think and it was a lot better then the other two. The POW scenario was really cool, and I see the more realistic side to it.

You didn't miss much. This episode was not as good as the others. If the next episode isn't that good then I'll just stop watching (of course until the CQB episodes).
I just think that they want to show to occomplish too much. It was funny, delta was up for another game. I hated those guys (they were more about the drama than the game). They all died because they attacked a truck with "23" instead of "13". Damn! I didn't think they were that stupid. I have to wonder if these guys are compitent with defending our country if they can't even attack the right truck. What if Red Cross guys were in that truck?
I think this thread should be renamed "Combat Missions is Mediocre"

I just saw a rerun of one of the CQB shows (there are two shows for each game) sometime in the middle of the night. I realized that I missed the last two shows because I was turned off by their shotty camera work and stupid drama.
Although the outdoor games seemed random and repedative, the CQB games are more structured and less confusing. It's interesting to get a first hand look at SWAT troops doing entries with flashbangs and gas grenades.
The next show is on Wednesday at 10:00PM on USA. This will be the second CQB show with the two best teams: Alpha and Bravo. I suggest you see it. Don't pay attention to the rest of the show, its a shame to see a "team" of our soldiers perform ununifying tasks such as voting people off.

MY GOD MAN! , Did anyone else catch the show last night? That Scott "whiney ass" Hellofamoron or whatever his name is was acting like some 5 year old brat. Well you know if you've seen the show he's never acted his age, but good lord, last night though he went a little bit too far.
Seeing him prance around while yelling "you ain't got no honor" was really a sad thing to witness. I felt bad for all the other guys there that had to be around him. No way was he acting like a professional.
If I was one of the Alpha members I swear I would have punched him right in his fat mouth. He said it was a "tactic" but sheesh...I really don't think so. He's been an ass from the very first episode.
Best thing one of the Alpha members said about the whiney ass was that they hoped he did end up winning the prize money, because he'll need it to buy some serious HELP!
So true.
GO ALPHA!

Yes, Hado I saw it last night. I was laughing my ass off. The way that Scott was acting combined with the way Alpha was reacting was the perfect combination. I thought that Scott was out of line, but he shouldn't be punished. I think that Alpha has some problems (most of which I thought came from O'Shea). After they messed up the CQB game I knew they weren't going into the finals. I think Delta is the best team at Windstorm. They act like a team and that Scott character will act like an asshole just to win. I would NEVER act like him, but I would want him on my team.
By the way, did you see them use Simunitions? When they were target practicing, they weren't using real ammo, they were using sims. This is a problem because Sim ammo and real steel don't perform the same way. Simunitions can't use rifling because the paint bullet will break in the barrel so the performace of the ballistic is a little different than the 5.56 slug. My hypothosis is that they had the Simunition weapons on hand because they might have used them instead of the MILES systems.

Haha hado, totally agreed on that one, that Scott guy is a total ass, and he calls himself a SEAL, phhww. Waste of a a good name . Ohh man did alpha get smoked on the pilot down scenario. And that helo gettign shot down was so corny it almost hurt. But dman it was funny after that pregame game thing, with the batons, those 3 guys like jumped Scott afterwards, haha, he like jabbed him in the back. Ahhh... funny stuff.. So Ed r the CQB ones really that great? i haven't seen one yet and i'm definitly not impressed with the ones that i ahve seen .

I think that the last show was definetly the best out of all of them. The CQB games were interesting, I just wanted to see what LIVE dynamic entry looked like. Don't be too hard on Scott, I think that Combat Missions is a combination of both "real" combat and a fantasy game. I just think Halverson was playing a little bit too much of a game.

I was watching Combat Missions for the first time it was good but it was somewhat annoying how the helicopter kept blowing up. Still a good show but I only like the action scenes I don't care about the plot.
