The Glock is permanet. But you can always buy replacement parts to make the gun shoot the right ammo again. I really like Simunitions, I think that they will be better than airsoft. (You just need to wear the right stuff).

I'm whatching the second episode right now and I just noticed that when a guy shot at one of the "Shadow Force" guys, sand blew up as if bullets were strikeing the ground. Hahahaha. Oh man this show provides entertainment but I wish that they wouldnt try so hard to to make it seem real. Its all scripted. When they assault the tank the two shadow guys come out at the exact same time as they did before. The guy in the main tank hatch first and then the second hatch. Its stupid but its fun to whatch.

Finally was able to see the show myself and I kinda liked it. There were some bad parts which made it look like MTv's "The Real World" but overall it was pretty entertaining. Delta did poorly right from the start, even I yelled out "What the heck are ya doing?!" when the two team members charged the tank. Sheesh. Alpha worked more like a team, good communication and set up on the field. And the wifey liked the one SWAT guy Pate, which she must have mentioned a million times through the entire show. Hehe, I was glad he left Good show, I'll have to watch more from now on. If Viking reminds me again that is. Doh.

Overall I liked the show. It feels as if they are trying to cram an hour-long show into 30 minutes though. Sometimes its pretty corny but I do not think its all that much scripted. And I really like how the team takes on a new member when one leaves, that to me just seems cool. The ability to better your team, and what’s even cooler is many of these guys have already served in real world situations with the people coming into the teams.

Simunitions - great for armed services and LEO, but possibly not for the regular guy. First off, everything I've read states exactly what Newman relayed........these buggers hurt, A LOT! You have to modify real steel to use these, some in a manner that is difficult (or a pain in the ars, depends on the gun) to reverse. Essentially you're turning your real steel gun into a higher-powered paintball marker. Why not just put the $$ into airsoft? Lastly, these are usually used in very tightly controlled environs. Heaven forbid if a live round finds its way into the mix. As well, you think airsoft guns will raise the eyebrows of the law, try getting nabbed carrying a converted real steel without the proper permits. Sorry, I just don't see the benefit or enjoyment gained from this venture, unless of course you are in the armed forces or law enforcement.

What is this Bullshit!!!
Delta was no team. They sucked. When they did the preemptive game (the water drop) they all looked like a bunch of fools. The Alpha team had a lot cooler guys on it and they all acted like a team. Also, the Alpha guys completed their mission in half the time and lost NO MEN. But because the game is kind of fixed, the Shadow squad were prolly ordered to ambush the guys. If Delta were ambushed, they would have lost all their men. Alpha lost by one minute (only becaused the guys didn't know if another ambush was coming). I think that they should have changed the game up a bit. Alpha should have won. I also realized that the first 30 minutes of the show is mostly crap to fill time. I suggest that you watch South Park from 10:00 to 10:30, and just at 10:30 the guys start shooting each other. I hope it gets better next week.
Also, I think you are overestimating the Simunitions. For example, I have seen many pictures of actual people using Sims in indoor places. Their dress is a joke. They are using paintball masks, crotch protectors, and vests on top of black or grey BDU's. Although the company might brag that the Sims are high velocity, I don't think they really are. I think Sims are better than airsoft because of the fact of realism. Why? Proper magazine capacity, heavy blow-back, gun recoil, proper sound, proper ballistics, and the fact that you can't dodge the bullets at long distances. They are expensive, but they are also the closest to the real thing.

Yes, they are the closest to the real thing, including danger. Lets keep real guns and games seperate from each other.

Be nice if they can get the same system into a non-real ammunition-firing replica, like an airsoft gun. One thing I hate about airsoft is the short range it just bugs the hell out of me.

On THAT subject ;D , what really bugs me about Airsoft is the range *and* hi-cap mags! Just read Bigmack's profile and tell me you really like having an extraordinary amount of firepower being shot at you, from a gun with a real mag of what, 10, 20, 30 shots? Argh... About the range, I don't mind that much, actually, I think they go far enough to make outdoor battles interesting and not make snipers reign. Then when you want to play inside/CQB, they don't hurt that much.

Newman, yeah the real guns may hold 20-30 rounds, but it is also A LOT easier to hit someone with a real gun than it is an airsoft gun. Also, twigs and leaves will not stop a bullet. I had a dude taking cover behind a friggen bush one day, and I had to unload a good 150-200 bbs on him before one finally made it through the bush. how realistic is that?!?! Also, I hope you only load your mags to half capacity, wouldnt want you to bea hyprocrite now,..

Locutus, I definitely should've added that to my post. I know how innacurate and basically underpowered Airsoft guns are, but 500 round mags are way overkill...in my opinion. Should've added that. And yes, I do hand-load my mags, 30 at a time.

But because the game is kind of fixed, the Shadow squad were prolly ordered to ambush the guys. That's EXACTLY what I thought too. Alpha team clearly should have won, but I guess they worked too well as a team and the show producers didn't want to make it look too easy.

Well honestly I felt Alpha should had been ambushed. They weren’t being careful. They simply where walking back in a tight column formation, on the side of a hill. They should have been spread out more, covering their corners, with the point at least a good 10 meters ahead from the rest. I guess sense the other teams didn’t receive any resistance to the pick up point they thought it was over.
I can’t wait for a mission in CQB where we can see the swat guys kick some butt. Although the swat guy in the first episode did awesome and got the most kills, I believe he was Bravo team not sure though. You know the guy who was saying how crazy the PT was and how SWAT cops didn’t do that kinda crap, but when it came to the shooting he owned!
I personally feel that 60 rounds is plenty. Yes it can be tough to get a kill in airsoft, but when you come out with 300 round – 500 round mags that takes away a HUGE part of the tactical feel of the game. People would be forced to conserve ammo and take grouping shots instead of just blasting full auto till a bb finally goes through the pea sized hole in an obstacle and kills the enemy.

and we get back to the overall price of airsoft.
any way you look at it..it's overpriced...especially the BB's, gas, and magazines... if it ever gets to the point where standard mags are 5-10 bucks apiece...i'll pick up a mess of them....
but they're 25 apiece...at least for G3 mags...plus shipping.
you answer me... 70 rounds for 25? or 500 for 35? which would you pick?
i didn't have much choice in the matter...i could get 280 rounds(3 standards + the one that came with the gun) for about 75 bucks...or i could get 1070 rounds for 70 bucks.
i dunno about the rest of you...but i had been trying to get an airsoft gun since i was 15. Sophmore year...i surfed into some airsoft sites and fell in with the sport almost immediately.
this last fall, i finally got the chance to get some airsoft equipment... i had a budget of about 400 dollars for airsoft that i could get from my parents... and i added a little bit more from my bank account through paypal...
my kit still cost me about 550 dollars for what i got..and 2 hicap mags seemed like a damn good idea to me.
if you guys want me to use my standard...fine...just tell me.
