5) Boots. Non-skid. The place is a bit run down and the roof leaks a bit... So theres puddles around the place... had a couple slip and falls today. So if there are puddles around the place whats going to happen when they turn to ice. I'm assuming there is no heat so there most likely going to freeze, and I don't think nonskid boots are going to help much, but I could be wrong.

We're working on getting the puddles cleaned up as well as possible. I think you can trust in the fact that if we run into a problem with ice, the affected areas will be closed off for play...safety is always our first concern, after all.

I would like to jump in here and say that there will be combined effort between ACO and GK to make this an exciting experience for everyone this coming winter.
Both groups have a vested interest whether it is thier time or money and we want to make this a huge success. Both groups are cleaning up the facility and will be taking care of any issues that need to be addressed.
One thing for sure is you will get your money's worth.

Arc, I would have played last year when I was home on Mid Tour, but I didn't see any OP's that were going on at that time!! But hey, blowing off Drill to do some CQB is better than having to be at the Armory and doing nothing... Since all of our equipment is still getting fixed from the beating it took in the desert!!!
Hope to see you there!!!!

Heh. speaking of Armory duty... Snip was telling me about the time when they were loading up shelving that had to go back to state...
well, they had it all lined up.. (I guess it was the kind of sheet metal shelving...) and some sargeant was picking it up with a high-low...
he decided that he didn't like the shelving that much...
He then proceeded to ram and smash the shelving into little bits against the side of a building...
Captain comes over... "Wasn't that supposed to go back to state?"
Sargeant replies... "Mayyyyyyybe..."

I'm looking forward to meeting you face to face. looks like i'm wearing DCU's though, because all of my other gear (and civilian clothes) is locked up in NY. I have exactly one set of clothes that isn't in three color desert.

I just have a few questions. The $50. Is that required before or when we get there( to the event). Second. Do you need to be a member of the winter league to compete in the event, and is that a seperate fee. Just a few things I'd like to know. I'll be at Gibralter all day Sat and Sun at Susan's Airsoft booth, Big Boys Toys. if anyone wants to contact me that way thats fine.

The sooner you get the $50 paid, the sooner you get to reserve your spot in the game. The longer you delay, the greater the chance you miss out. We've got teams coming to this one from as far away as Nebraska, so get your money in as soon as you can.
Also, you do NOT need to be a member of the ACO Winter CQB League to participate in Operation: Falling Star, but if you are a member, admission is FREE. If you plan on playing in the event and making several trips out to the site between January and April, it is more economical to join the League.
