I think you must of misread the date of this event . Code name :Thunder was last year Aug 14-15 2004 ,
but you were right it was a blast .I suggest checking out the teaser for the DVD that is being released on Feb 26 2005 .

What type of gun was mounted on the car in the teaser?

Twin G3's mounted in a turet(sp) that rotated 360 degrees .It was I believe a chevy suburban .That thing was awsome ,carried about 6to 7 people not counting the driver and gunner .

June 18-19th, 2005

Intel reported a few months ago that a rogue North Korean special forces unit led by General Pai Me has allegedly defected from the military and escaped the Korean Peninsula to the tiny island of Lei Phe in the China Sea in search of food and power. There Pai Me set up the Ching Pao Rebel Organization and has been recruiting mercenaries to complete his quest for power.

Informants have warned of the power-hungry Pai Me’s hatred of the South Koreans and their U.S. –backed government. He also is reported to be in possession of a stolen nuclear device obtained by former Soviet Advisors and there have been conflicting reports of attempts to sell the device to middle eastern terrorist groups for cash, or a possible suitcase bomb attempt against South Korea or Japan.

Under pressure of the South Korean and Japanese governments and with recent U.S. popularity waning worldwide, the President of the United States needs a feel-good story for the evening news. To stop nuclear proliferation and successfully locate a weapon of mass destruction will fill that order. The President has sent in elite forces under “CODENAME: DRAGON” to neutralize or capture Pai Me, the top Ching Pao leaders, and to locate any nuclear devices or materials they may posses.

Following the United States failed attempt at bringing Columbian Drug Lord Hector Chiro to justice, the U.S. Special Forces units involved were shifted to other theaters around the globe. Chiro, having successfully eluded the joint Drug Enforcement Agency and Military incursion into his Columbian stronghold, has only become more powerful and remains popular with the locals.
