Wolverine 98 excellent post. I also was an avid paintballer for 8 years and had nearly two thousand dollars into an Autococker. I played rec ball, i was on tourney teams, you name it i did it. A buddy of mine who is a Navy SEAL, came back to Michigan to visit me and he introduced me to the beauty of arisoft. The first time i shot his M4... i put my two thousand dollar autococker on ebay the next day... enough said.

my reason for being addicited to our sport, is the realisim, i mean its kind kool to dress up in all you gear, go out on the field in the morning, set up objectives and shoot your friends, the me and the people on my team do the best we can to work together like a squad, and to move together. airsoft is just better than paintball, and i havent met 1 person who played airsoft i didnt like, so another factor is friends...

I was also an avid paintball player for a few years. I wanted to try airsoft but my parents wouldn't let me at first, so I went to paintball. I was pretty good and I loved the sport and thought I wouldn't ever stop playing. That is, however, until i played airsoft. My first real airsoft match was Wolverine Fury and since then I sold all my paintball stuff for my airsoft stuff and never looked back.

I, like almost ALL airsofters started playing with springers. I had been paintballing a few times, wasnt that fun. Throw a lot of paint at each other, hope you dont get hit. And when ever i saw it in magazines or herd people talk about it it always seemed really juvinile, i dont know why, anyway when my friend got his AEG and i saw it for the first time, i just knew i had to have one.

The French side? What did you fight with white flags?

Technically, we were French Canadians.
And we fought with bio-chem warheads that got launched at Detroit and Chicago. ;D

Ive always LOVED guns. Ive had many real steel and have many, Its just the thought of the power you posses. I tryed to convince my self (pre Airsoft nirvana) and just couldent justify buying a gun that looked so "gay" sorry to all those who still play. Ive always enjoyed the more realistic hobbies. For example I never bought a radio shack R/C car but I had 2 stroke Nitro methane burning trucks and buggys that would do 70 mph. Its all or nothing. Heres a link to some of the types of vehicles im talking about ( www.traxxas.com and if theyre still around www.maxxtraxx.com . I had the T-Maxx, and one could easily drop 1,000.00 into one I had 3 worth, 1. 3,500.00 2. 2,700.00 and the third was like 1,900.00 or so after all the after market mods I could do. and at one time I had 14 R/C vehicles. Yikes Im looking back now at all that $$$ I could have spent on Airsoft if I only would have found out sooner. he he he...

DUDE..
Ive played paintballl for 10 yrs now...awesome games are held all the time.
As in any sport/hobby..gotta have lotsa $..
I havent even played my first milsim yet and have 600$+ in my A2...its just depends on what ya wanna spend and how realistic ya wanna be in airsoft...
Ive got an army issue ghillie suit and rifle wrap, a new TM M16A2 with 203 grenande launcher..PLUS Im ordering a new aimshot infrared heat seeker to attach to the barrel.
