Well I have been looking at this gun for a while now, and it seems like a very good gun from it's looks. The 325fps, out of the box seems impressive also. And since it's priced fairly cheap, it would seem like a good buy, right? Well since I have only seen a handful of credible reviews, none of which were very helpful. I was hoping for one here, by chance that someone would happen to have one of these gun's. One of my teammates just ordered the other day, and he got it today. He said he would be posting a review on it sometime soon, but I really can't wait, considering I need to know soon, whether or not to get this gun. Any input would help greatly. www.shortyusa.comSpring Guns Very First Gun

Thus far UTG's guns have seemed to hold their own, but Im a bit skeptical about this rifle. Its lack of easy upgradability or even the availability of parts makes me uneasy.

Yes, that is also one of my sceptics. But UTG say's they will have upgradable parts as well as, replacable parts available for this gun. Sometime in the early spring. Although, I do not know how crediable this information is.

Yup, Minime on the SEMIA forums has one, and it broke in 2 days. He went to the UTG facroty in Livonia, and gave him a free 400 FPS bolt.

I think minime had to get it replaced so early because he was putting it back together and put the wrong screw in the wrong place and drove a screw right through the cylinder. I'm pretty sure thats the reason. Anyways, I don't think he had any other problems and he likes it a lot.

yeah, minime has it, and he did get it from the leapers place here in livonia (ive got some info on UTG) like a G3 SAS, Semi auto blowback SVD new tachtical mp5 and an AEP mark23. he brought back the spring 2006 catalog. his rifle (flat green) along with my Gspec (tiger) (the ris is now black, not tan) the only problem with the UTG rifle is that you cant take the cylinder head off, making it impossible to get into the cylinder and adjusting stuff. another problem is there is no rubber padding inbetween the piston and cylinder head so you won be able to silence it more.

So how does it work? Is it good, bad, indiffrent, worth the money, and is there anyway you could upgrade it?

Wow your gun looks good, I would like to paint mine urban tiger. And I was thinking of getting a light Grey rifle sock for the barrel for the winter, as well as one for the scope.

it works good, ive shooten it plenty of times, gotten kills with it up to 30 yards. its very accurate with .25's but .28' would be better due to the really nice hopup on it.
Were not done with it yet, prolly some kind of desert multicam type deal with it. not sure yet.
im going to repaint it sometime soon, hopfully get my hands on an airbrush... because mine was all rattlecan and took like 15 minutes to mask it.

I am ordering one and will post a full review of its range grouping velocity etc.. The only problem is stated that its not upgradable. I heard the same rumors of the 400FPS bolt kit but I seen two problems there. One 400FPS in my opinion is still where many AEGS are at and two if its anything like other sniper rifles even it it comes with a good cylinder/head, bolt, piston and springguide, most rifles need to upgrade the trigger and piston sears to handle the force as well as a better spring guide stopper. So if they release the bolt will these be released? I am buying one for a novelty item to look good in my collection but as far as usability comes, I'll stick with my upgraded G spec.

(minimee got his for free)

I just shot one today at my team's pracitce, and livonia is right. I was getting kills 100+ feet. And the hop-up on it, is awesome. The only problem was that the bolt wasn't lubed so it was a pain to pull back, but it was fine for just a practice.
