This will be the first scenario held at Matrix, The game play is not meant to be super serious. The main objective is for everyone to have a fun time ( do not show up and yell at people for playing the way they want or having fun in the way they like). I designed the scenario around what the matrix field has to offer. The general Idea is to have 2 teams, attacking and defending team. Both teams will have to set up there own base and select missions. For each mission the attacking team has, the defending team has a counter mission to prevent the attacking team from being successful. This means that no body will be stuck sitting in the back of the field guarding a area that no one will even be close to (everyone hates this). There is a wide variety of missions for each team ( attacking has more since the defenders need to focus on defending too).
For each mission that the attacking teams completes they will be awarded points. For each counter mission the defending team completes they will be blocking the attackers from scoring points and they will earn points that will be deducted from the attackers total. So if at the end of the game the attackers score 20 points and the defenders score 6 then 20-6 = 14, So the attacking team scored a total of 14 points. After the first game is ran we will break for lunch. After lunch we will switch sides. The missions will be the same but objects will be moved so each team dont know were the other team is going. What ever attacking team scored more point will be declared the winner at the end of the day.
I have read many after action reports about how people were getting pissed at the leadership because one man was making all the decisions and they were stupid. I know none of us are trained professionals and I do not expect you to be able to know how to lead a team perfectly. So for each team there will be 3 leaders, 2 of the 3 must agree in order to make a decision. Hopefully this will weed out the leaders making bad calls and lead to a better ran team.
The current missions for the attacking team: ( working on 2 more but they are not complete yet)
1) Demolition run.
2) Communication link.
3) The extraction.
4) Blockade.
5) Smuggle.
The current missions for the Defending team:
1) Operation protect the villages.
2) Smugglers crackdown.
3) Signal Jammer.
4) Coming soon with the completion of the other 2 attacking missions.
We are setting a player cap of 30.
The player cap is lowered for this game only, the reason is because some of the field will become unplayable due to each team having a section off area for base and a surrounding area large enough to prevent spawn camping. If you sign up PLEASE commit and show up, I do not want to turn people away and have 10 people no show.
Please state what team you would like to be on and the color camo you plan on wearing. I will move the civilians to what ever team is shorter on players. I do not care what color camo you wear, green based will be on one team and non green on the other.
