So I just got Some Siegetek 10:44 Gears, M130 Spring And a SPEED Trigger for my A&K SR-25K. After installing the gears the Semi function doesn't work and there's kind of like a grinding sound or it sounds like the gears are over turning. I modified the selector plate by sniping a piece of it off and it still seems to not work. Did I shim it too high to where the sector gear isnt hitting the cut off lever? I'm just kind of confused, I know that its short stroked but I didn't think that would be an issue. It has an insane rate of fire now and the trigger response is pretty nice but it sounds kind of funky and there's no semi auto, any tips?

Possibility that your new trigger is touching your gears?

You may need a new cut off lever. I'm not entirely sure, but it may help. Along with the spring that engages it.

It doesn't look like the trigger touches, I also tried a different trigger same thing. I have like 4 cut off levers I could try but I don't think its the issue, before I switched the gears it worked fine.

Is your piston cycling backwards after firing or am I missing something here? Anti reversal latch?

My anti reversal latch is in there and installed properly. I don't know what the problem is

But your piston is cycling backwards and it isn't an illusion in the video?

No illusions and yeah I put in a steel tooth piston and its going backwards because air is being pushed out.

Seigetek 10:1s need to have the ARL modified to be shorter otherwise it will not catch and will allow the gears to reverse after overspin. I did the mod to mine with a small file until it engaged the ARL teeth on the bevel nicely. There is a picture of how to do it somewhere in one of his manuals, I think on his site. I'll try to dig it up if you can't find it. This may be true for other seigetek ratios as well though I cannot comment since I only have the 10:1s.

Ive tried it with both the 10:44 and 20:8 ratios. Even tried keeping the stock sector gear stock. And still does that.

It's the bevel, not the sector. The other ratios may need the mod as well. Either way, your gears should NOT reverse. If they are, then lack of semi auto is the least of your problems. If your gears are reversing then your ARL isn't catching, it's as simple as that.
As for semi, I've just been dealing with a similar issue and it has been a total pain. Make sure your sector cann lift the cutoff lever enough to lift up the trigger trolley. You can test this with the gearbox open by rotating the sector by hand.

When I put my gearbox back together the AR latch seems to sit fine and I even hand cycle the gears it catches on the gears fine. I don't know why it's failing. I guess no can try another AR latch and another spring.
