Nah i think even if its on private property im sure it would have to have licensing, my mom works for a city in michigan and has to decide licensing and stuff for buildings and permits so i have a jist on this sort of thing. Your mom works for a city in Michigan. Watch out we got an expert over here! - Michigan Vehicle CodePlease don't go around spouting off information when you have no idea.

I don't think many players would really care whether or not a vehicle used in an event has proper offroad registration. The point of it being there is to add to a scenario and make travel more convenient for larger AO's. It's for the benefit of the players and the OP, so as long as the event host has insurance and the insurance agency knows vehicles will be in operation. The police generally don't take interest in airsoft games unless something is reported. If someone actually went out of their way to report operation of a vehicle that didn't have a offroad sticker on PRIVATE PROPERTY I would ban them from future events, if they are the kind of people that would want to ruin a game for everyone else, they are the kind of people that need to find another sport.

I actually do have an idea of what im talking about, it was simply an educated guess. I said that it mostly likley needs licensing and permits wich is true, the information you have is from 1942, watch out we got an expert over here! This information could be updated by now, what I know is that you must have licensing to drive a motorized vehicle on road.

That is the official Michigan Vehicle Code as of today. So yes that is the law. Learn how to do your own research. Do you think that we rewrite all of our laws every year?

exactly what I thought but wasnt sure if I remembered correctly. so if used on Private Property, lisencure is not required but must be permitted by the property owner. a lisence is required on any public or state property.

Aren't we just all suppose to be positivley discussing our opinons? If so, please stop being negative towards me. We're supposed to be transmitting correct information. Whether or not vehicles require registration on private land is not a matter of your opinion. If you aren't citing law or aren't highly educated on the matter then you shouldn't be commenting. Educated guesses are bad because they're frequently wrong. I don't know shit about this topic, and you might notice that I haven't commented on it. There's a connection between those two things, and it's one that you really ought to ponder. You're getting negativity because you're talking out of your ass. If you don't do that, you won't get the negativity.

I'm being negative (and cleary agitated) because you are trying giving out misinformation with no basis on any facts. Knowing someone who knows somebody who used to be somebody does not make your guesses educated.
[/Rant]
Edit: Thank you Knief for articulating my mind once again.

Aren't we just all suppose to be positivley discussing our opinons? If so, please stop being negative towards me. The purpose of this thread wasnt for oppinions. The only opinions I was looking for was if players would allow vehicles to be used and if they would accept them. Anything that has to do with the law I want only Facts. Dont want anyone getting in trouble becuase of misinformation.

Well luckily the law pretty much states that if it's private property then you can do what you want (with many exceptions like DUI, Drugs, etc.). The only thing that I would caution everyone on is that, in most cases, the waiver that players sign protects the land owner, not you the driver. Their insurance also covers the land owner, and not the drivers. So it's very likely that you could get sued if you hurt someone while driving in an airsoft game. So for that reason I recommend insuring any car or ORV that is going to be used. I'm not sure which insurance agencies do ORVs (Progressive?), but there's pretty much an insurer for everything out there. The best thing to do is to sit down with an insurance agent and explain what you are doing. This way you know that if run over some dude in a ghille you aren't going to screwing up your whole life.

X, that has been tagging the back of my mind Im glad you brought it up. My other concern was that if someone were to be hurt. But Id think common sence would come into play there. You can hear the motor of the veichle so dont be going and running out in front of it. (sadly I had some idiot do this when I pulled in their driveway the other day)
