Nah, I hand painted it for him with some Testors model paint (had nothing better), and I didn't do the greatest job. I could probably make a stencil, now that I think about it. I have some card stock somewhere... Anyways, if I remember correctly, the helmet has a small lip in the front, which makes it a PASGT helmet. The MICH/ACH series don't have a lip.

And it was originally black. I'm not quite done with the tan paint job. I just thought I'd post it.

New paint, I really need to get some tan velcro though! Also looks a lot more grey in the picture than it actually is.

You could just dust over the velcro, or better yet something on it like it's intended for, then you won't even see that it's black.

No. I need to be high speed and anything on my Velcro will slow me down. ;D

Better remove the velcro then for better aerodynamics. I think it looks fine though. Very clean setup overall, would look awesome with an AKA2 or a wilcox g24 but unless you have real NODs they are really expensive. Anyways, here is one of mine

That helmet is oddly plain looking what with the cool guy NOD mount you have on there. Replicating a particular helmet you've seen, or just not gotten around to throwing some paint on it yet?

Yeah, it is kinda plain. The helemet was originally the standard MSA foliage color, but it was painted that color when I got it, and I'm selling it so I haven't gotten around to painting it. Anyways lots of older CAG pics show them with black 2002s and there's a pic of a ranger with an anvis setup on a black 2000. Most of the time their helmets were pretty plain except for maybe some bungees and a patch or two. Have no fear, though, I plan on doing a recent CAG setup with it on an airframe. The LPBP is already on it's way.

Got my Fast helmet today. First helmet I have owned and I am liking it so far. Need to get some more patches, a manta strobe, and maybe other stuff still. Dont mind the m6x, I saw it sitting on my desk and decided to see how it felt to have a laser attached to my vision Now I think I will store it there so I can detach it when I un holster my ATP. Been wanting to come up with somewhere to keep it since damn Serpa's dont fit attachments.

RIght on. I just got my first helmet as well here but it's bare. I'm considering getting the rails to attach those ear plates. How do you like those? Do they fit nice and cooperate under goggles and over a headset?

Havent tried over the headset, left the left panel off for that reason. The goggles fit fine though and the panel doesnt interfere with cheek weld on the stock. I am happy spending $10 of them

Mines the later so I just have to wonder what adding those parts will do to it.

The straps on it were the ones that came on it. I believe this is what you would consider replica plastic. It is very light, but doesnt have any flex. Once everything is snug on the head, I really dont notice the weight of the helmet fully loaded at all.

Well I ask because I know mine is plastic. Very very light, has two mold holes in the top, flexes just enough to the point where i'm sure it would shatter if it got squeezed or sat on. So i do now question how much the rail hardware reinforces it.
