Ebay will be your best friend in that endeavor, all of this NVG stuff is a slightly older so it goes for nothing there.

What brand is the lid itself? Have you done any upgrades to the suspension/pads? How does it fit? Cool lid by the way.

Crapshoot
It's one of those no name replicas all of the HK sites sell. I took out one of the pads to fit and threw a surplus MICH chinstrap on it (the one it came with was trash). With the real chinstrap it fits really well.

Looks good, you need the Cyre Netting though.

And a Manta strobe would look cool.

Should hit the rails with a bit of paint too. They look odd in contrast. Cool helmet though.

Pretty cool how you rigged your Comtacs to the rails! Nice work. Is It more of a hassle to take off or put on with the earpieces there?

yeah knife, in hindsight, I should have made the effort to take off the comtacs and paint the rails, too. I'll get to it eventually.
LOFP: Thanks. Not at all. I'm actually considering keeping it this way instead of getting the actual mounts for the comtacs because the way I have it set up now, they aren't completely tight around my ears, so I am still able to pick up the direction of sounds through my natural hearing.

That must be a lot more green than it looks in the pictures. It really looks like you put a bunch of tan Velcro on to cover a tan helmet, hehe. Not bad though for a quick, simple, temporary solution.
I just got done painting mine. I left the rails and the inner part of the NVG shroud tan, like you did. Also the Velcro patches and bungees are still tan. I really don't think it looks half bad actually.

Its really a mixture of dark brown and OD. You can tell from the tan in the woodland camo and name tapes that it is nowhere near tan in person.

I totally missed the pattern your talking about, now I really can't wait to see this in person. That sounds really interesting.

Might want to spray the entire thing flat tan then make stencils for your callsign and logo instead of using what looks like...white out?
