Hey Hon,

I just wanted to say Goodbye while I have the chance. With the upcoming deployment in few hours, the phone lines are overloaded and our internet as well. So here we go, the old fashion way =)

As I told you last time, this deployment should be very basic. We are only going there for few weeks. We just need to make sure everything is still under control. Col. Benjamin (the one you meant at the reception last month) asked me to re-organized the airbase. Looks like the new officers are not being appreciated so they are sending me to give couple taps in the back. The civilians seem to be happy right now even though they don’t really understand why we are there. I will be honest, I sometime wonder myself. I have been in the forces long enough to know not knowing why we are there is sometime better.

If it is like last mission, we will just show up, show our firepower, clean the mess within few days and get out of there. So I should be back home before the summer start. XD

Anyway, I just wanted to say I miss you already and I hope the dog is ok with you and the kids. I will try to call you as soon as I will get on the airbase.

Where is Blind Fury coming from?
- Blind Fury got created 8 years ago when a bunch of airsoft enthusiasm decided having a more physically and mentally demanding event would be a great idea. The rivalry actually started from another series way back before Hidden Ranch was even an airsoft field. We simply took the belligerent names and incorporated them into our Blind Fury scenarios.

What is the Blind Fury series all about?
- Simply said, the series is about one fragmented country with many factions trying to control it as much as possible. Alliances are created or dissected enough to the point where you never really know who is good from who is bad. The event is about shooting plastic bbs at each other rather than having a definite winner and call it done for the day.

Who can participate in the event?
- If you are willing to embrace the military simulation mindset where accomplishing for your team or your squad is more important than knowing how many guys you shot that day, this event is for you.

Is there an age limit to play the event?
- Yes. 13 years old is the minimum you can be to play. You also need to have a mentor or a parent/guardian playing with you if younger than 15 years old.

Do I need to read the event details before signing up?
- Technically, no but I can guarantee you that you will not have a good surprise to find out you don't have what you need to be part of this event.

What kind of restrictions does the event has?
- All sort. That is why reading the event details is so crucial.

Can't I just get there and start shooting at everything moving in my directions?
- You sure can. You will simply have a miserable time with us...and will most likely ruin the day for many other players. SO the proper attitude is the way to go.

It is insane only if the players attending have the right attitude
To be completely honest, it is the only event I know where the whole concept depends 99% on the players. my staff is kept to the very minimum so the fog of war is even more present (and important) during the battle. This is the kind of event where you might end up guarding an objective for 2hrs without seeing one guy or you might end up shooting 4hrs no stop and spending 40k rounds without resting.

For the most part, you will either love or hate the concept but one thing is sure, my personal objective is to have you mentally and physically drained by the end of the day...

I had a great experience attending this game last year. I served as a Platoon Leader and had like 4 squads under my command and as Blade the event host mentioned it's all about how the players get involved in the game. With this event you can expect multiple 100+ player skirmishes on-going throughout the field.

You can expect 2 and a half ton trucks driving around the field transporting troops and guys with rocket launchers taking them out! With intense fire-fights all day, ambushes, and defending, attacking cities throughout the day this is definitely one game any MILSIM(er) will want to attend!

I'm actually trying to pick up a LAW or M79 myself because I want to take out a deuce this year!

We are now 10 days away from the discounted entry fee deadline. On July 1st, I will also open the forums for the paid players. If you plan to be part of the leadership personel, I strongly recommend you to get your registration process completed a.s.a.p. I will not give forum access with it!
Here are few answers for questions I received. The information below will be updated in the player/mission pack

July 1st 2011
- Entry fee discount will be over. Enjoy that 25% off while it last.
- All unpaid players on the roster will be deleted. Losing your priority in the listing, you will be able to register again.
- Private forums will be available on www.airsoftevents.com . You need to have your registration completed (payment included) before getting your forum access granted.
- Tshirt and Patch order will be made. All payments received after July 1st will not guarantee the free Tshirt and patch to the late player payment.
- Player pack (PDF) will be available for download.

August 1st
- After receiving many recommendations, the registration might close that day. While I have no maximum number of players, it is crucial for the leadership element to know what they are dealing with and the later you guys register, the more difficult it gets. So don’t wait at the last second and be done with your registration already.
- Mission Pack (PDF) will be available for download.
- Final squad lineup adjustment. All players registering after that date will be placed into the support squads. Such squad will be used or modified at the Commander discretion.

Night games
I am still debating on offering few night missions on Friday night. Decision will most likely be taken the days following the event and will depend on many factors such as weather, safety and field improvements. NOT all players will get access to the night mission. Those registering and paying earlier will get priority.

Vehicles in the area of operation.
All vehicle owners planning to bring your vehicle to the field need to report to me a.s.a.p. Some missions will depend on the vehicle usage and rules must be adapted or at least be relevant to all vehicles in the field during the event. For more details, rules and requirements, please contact me.

Staging area.
At your arrival, please take the time to locate and park with your team specific staging location. Doing so will make things easier and more private. Make sure to police your trash and equipment throughout the day as well. Always keep your valuables in a secured and locked environment.

P.O.W.
All leadership elements, Recon and PJ. ARE capturable. All prisoners must be searched to be considered “secured”. All leaders will be held in jail no longer than 30min. All other captured players must be held no longer than 15min.

All this being said, we already have above 180 players registered. without taking the "paid" into consideration yet, the Green Forces are at 95 while the TAN are at 52. Do we have a team in trouble already? With the PMC company at 22 and the Mercenaries at 14, it might create some havoc for both side.

Few sponsors already stepped forward and I actually got Zshot onboard today. Can't wait to see what they have in store for you guys.
