I hope I'm not coming across as conceited, but I am kind of proud of this one. I am graduating this Saturday from EMU in their electronics engineering program. For my senior design project, I built a bomb prop for Call of Duty type scenario games. The electronics package is based on an Atmel 1280 microcontroller, interfaced with a graphical LCD display and some other cool stuff. I wrote the system code for the device in C++, and developed several new libraries for using menus, timers, seven segment displays, and other such stuff with the micro. I wanted to do a bit more with the aesthetics of the suitcase and fake c4, but I ran out of time. I wanted to put 4 more blocks of fake c4, and a lot more wiring. The c4 blocks are just 5 inch sections of PVC pipe with bolts through them for mounting to the grate. I then covered them with modeling clay, and wrapped them with Saran Wrap. In the system menu you can set the countdown time, the length of the arm and disarm codes, various sound options and display options. What do you guys think?

What would it cost for you to build me a few?

Not conceited at all. I would definitely be proud of that And as cqbr said, what would the price of one of those be?

That's a work of art right there.

I'd be real real real real careful with making those. A few more lines of code and a few more parts, and I'm sure you could actually be setting off blasting caps.

I am trying to get the build cost down to where I can sell them for less than $200 a piece. I am also trying to ruggedize the buildout a bit, since the development board has leads held in by tension. Once I get a PCB design, I can get some boards printed and have everything soldered together so they will last better.
How many people would still be interested at that price?

And here I thought our teams bomb was cool. I would definitely like to get the schematics to that bad boy.

All I want is the central gizmo so I can set timers and disarm codes, the rest of the case I can make myself. (No offense ) Lemme know how much for that, or even a simpler version if you can make one up.

I'm going to speak for all of us and say we'd buy one or two. At least the timer.

I'd also be interested in just the central piece.
