Ok, guys. Thanks for all of the great feedback, and the +1. Congrats on graduating, Gunny.
As to the electronics package, just the parts were well over $120. the suitcase portion probably only cost me about $40. If I can redesign it to use a smaller microcontroller, I could drop cost drastically. That stupid graphic LCD display eats up like 13 digital pins, which on a smaller IC is just about all it has.
One thought was to scrap the menu screens, and just let the user connect the device to a laptop and set the game options there. Any thoughts?
Oh, and I am going to try to get my professor to let me take it to Fueling the Fire. If anyone wants to check it out in person, you can do that there.

I wanna see this if you bring it there, that looks pretty sweet. Also you could pm Mopedman or Tino and see if they wanna use it for a mission, if you wanted to let it be used in a game that is

Sorry, man. The prototype was not built to be rugged enough for actual in-game use. My professor would shoot me if anything happened to it. However, I would like to get an idea, at the game, which features are important to people. It might help me get the cost down a bit.

However, I would like to get an idea, at the game, which features are important to people. It might help me get the cost down a bit. I'm pretty sure I can answer that. (At least for myself if not anyone else) The ability to use a keypad to input a de-arm code, visible countdown timer, and some way to input the amount of time without having to use an external source. A bonus would be a couple of extra wires that could be soldered to whatever the user wishes to use for a effect after the timer expires. (Pair of buzzers/speakers, etc.) It would be really cool if you could some how make the bomb release some sort of smoke do make it seem like it's a chemical bomb or ignite a smoke grenade for the effect. Where are the nukes!!!!! I can't beat the system

I already have a buzzer and a speaker wired in. You get keypad tones and a loud beep that speeds up as the timer counts down. You can turn these features on and off in the admin menu. It would be very easy to have more auxiliary plugins added to the system, so you could add your own smoke machine or whatever you want, such as airsoft claymores, firecrackers or whatever.

To further expand on the idea of controlling outside devices, an RF transmitter to use from a distance. Albeit costly I'm sure somebody would be wiling to buy it.

This post would be more epic if you included a video if its functionality.

Dang, Dahm! I wish I would have thought of that before I turned it in.

Dang, Dahm! I wish I would have thought of that before I turned it in. Won't you get it back from your professor, or does he keep everything?

Nope, the school keeps all projects, especially the ones they like. This is definitely one of those.
Btw, I actually got word at my graduation that even the president of the university heard about my senior design project. Not sure if that is a good thing or not, but it does make for a funny story.

I just picked up the prop from my professor, so it will be at the game. Once you guys have played with it a bit, and let me know what you really want to see in the final product, I can begin the PCB layout and figure out the cost.
