First of all, mobbro, I apologize for referring to you as "Fubar" over the radio. I had no idea what your name was, but I saw you had a oatch that said fubar on it, so I just stuck with that.
I was squad leader for squad 5, the recon squad. Grabbing the first ammo box was a hell of a way to start a game off. I gotta give props to mobbro for his excellent work as CO. However, I couldn't understand a word you were saying over the radio. I'm starting to think that it was a problem with my radio and not a problem with everybody else's radios.
Canto, I just wanna say that I've been going to Armory Airsoft events since '07 and have yet to be dissapointed. Even when some of the players breaking rules, not calling hits, or just generally being dicks (I would like to mention that this usually only happens with inexperienced or younger players), I have always had a blast, and Flash Fire V was no exception.
Also, big thanks to Banchou for being an awesome point girl. I had confidence that you would always carry out my plans, no matter how insane they were. I think MIA could benefit from more players like you.

Had fun, bit disorganized on tan teams part. Seems like people just evaporated post lunch. I agree with Gimpy's statements about adding cover.

Great game, great day, lots of awesome people once again gracing the field of bangor. Personally, I had no real complaints of cheating or anything of that nature. I really had a good day, and loved not being the CO for once! Not that I don't LOVE being CO of one of the sides, but I like to get dirty occasionally also. Dave, great job on being CO. I honestly couldn't tell that you hadn't done it many times before. You did great, and it was fun helping you give/carry out orders. I always enjoy taking an order like "take city c at all costs" knowing that it's heavily defended, and it's probably going to end up in favor of my demise fairly quickly. Usually though, those orders were undertaken and executed quite good. Once again good job. Canto, and Armory guys. Once again Great job, and I don't think you should really take it too hard when people say bad things about stuff you can't control. You can only do so much, and that's it. I especially enjoy going to events that you run because of how fun you make it as an event runner/mod/role player. Thanks Green team - Great job had by all, and sorry to all of you newer/1st time players that I sent into the noobgrinder while taking city C. I guess you have to get your feet wet somehow right? We took it though eventually. Greener, Brew, and all of you others that ran along with me most of the day, it was awesome. Great job. Brew, you had shit assignments all day, and took them with a smile on you face! It must have been hard, but that's why we do this right? Tan team - Really excellent playing with you guys up until lunch and shortly after. A decent amount was sort of a stalemate unless you actually left the ridge and engaged in the cities or around the airfield, then it was fun. a lot of you left after lunch for some reason, but whatever..your money. I know that we were barely ahead at lunch, so it couldn't have been because of a blowout or anything. Good job though. To my beloved Immortal, black talon, and any of those I forgot. You played excellent, and definitely helped turn the tide of the game in our favor with your hell bent, fever-like pace of completing objectives. It's always a pleasure to play with all of you. Dingo, I definitely love running with you BT guys, and it was fun after lunch. That's about it. I can only say that I would definitely welcome more events in Charlotte, only because it's a little closer and I do actually enjoy the layout a little bit more. Thanks again to all of you, and I look forward to the next game. Hopefully at Charlotte.

But you did your recon work very well.

You and your team were a BIG confidence booster on my part. I knew that if I gave you an objective, that objective was executed extremely well and I thank you and your men for it. I would be honored to play with you guys again. Oh and Piper, I say some time down the road, FAR down the road, we are going against each other as CO's.haha. But that is another discussion. But again, thank you to all my GREEN team for just basically doing as I said, I knew I could trust you all to do what you needed to do. And as for the picture comment I put. I'm just an patient person! haha

Don't really have a whole lot to add to this thread but I figured there was nothing wrong with chiming in another positive review.
I had fun, no complaints, looking forward to the next one.

It felt good to be back in Bangor again, and to be back to healing. Was glad to see all those familiar faces (you know who you are, cuz you're awesome) and enjoyed camping with some new faces (that weather-control thing still has me thinking). I did not move around the field as much as I am used to, but as was pointed out, there was not that much movement or secure occupation as I'm used to seeing. It was good to see some enthusiastic and cooperative newbies out there, though they did let their enthusiasm get the better of them. Don't know what to do? Follow your last orders until told otherwise by a leader or better informed messenger. This is not a video game, so you will find that as much as you want to run around and shoot, even if it means going alone, you just fail. Patience and vigilance keep your teams holdings solid and cuts down on a great deal of confusion. Leaving the position you were charged with guarding to do an independent assault gets you shot, captured, waiting for respawn and leaves your position open for capture, and opens your teammates to being flanked. To be fair, this also made me a bit prone to barking at unnecessary times. I'm grateful for the experienced players and their calm corrections. I am also a little ashamed to say that at one point, I had been hit with so much ricochet inside the bunkers, that I almost ignored a legit shot while escaping a hot zone. It got way too easy to slip to assumptions jumping through bushes and sprinting between buildings. Medic System- I wasn't as effective a medic this time either, between the backup position (no resentment) and all those damned death card draws (lamination is better for shuffling). I did hear more than a few positive comments on the additions of the Stabilize and Dual-drag options. Though more than a few folks did not seem to understand that Dual-drag means you need 2 non-medic teammates to move a bleeding out ally. (On that note thank you Roland for another testing role play, frustrating to drag your narrow ass, but it makes the day memorable)But the stabilization made a large difference in the healing and recovery rate. I did find myself having to cut some teammates out and let them bleed on the front line, and I hate doing that at any game. Any more comments and suggestions would be appreciated, especially in regards to this event. Radios- I know not that many of us have them, especially new folks, and that's understandable but everybody needs a radio. However, everybody also needs to learn how to use one properly, and what I mean is how to speak over one. Too many times I hear people muffled, too fast, don't enunciate, oh and um to death, and lay on that damn button too long. Again, most of this is understandable when you realize that it's kids and gamers out there, but I have to believe that a little bit of polish in this area could make a world of difference, both in game immersion and communication efficiency. I also want to believe that cross-team communication with the mods could be done more efficiently, but I can't think of a good way to do it right now. Mobbro- You did just fine man, I was right there with ya sweatin' it out, fingers crossed and trusting our heavy hitters to make the difference. Revisiting that brief conversation on the field, isn't this you in this photo-manip boss? I can't remember 100% img91.imageshack.us/img91/8341/seperated2gag.jpg

Overall, I loved this game. Forget all the negativity from the TAN team, this event was a lot of fun, especially if you're like Master_Oki_Akai and I who had to suffer through Watchtower! I know he'll agree, that was just AWFUL! Canto, great job on the organization man, the new objective system is simply brilliant! I had the most fun I think I've ever had in the past year, and I didn't even get a single kill. It really was fun to be a team player, and I was present for almost every objective we ever accomplished. Screw kills, this is how airsoft was always meant to be. That being said, we had some amazing people on GREEN this time, but it was still annoying at the end engagement in C being in the (this time much bigger than usual) relatively small group of legitimately experienced players, while a big chunk of the Village C strike force is kids who want to charge head-on COD-style into every corner. All in all, pretty much all of my comrades were a great deal of fun to play with, and if you all keep fightin' like this, GREEN will truly be a force to be reckoned with! It was really awesome to see some familiar faces again, and Casper, it was great to see you again, man! Add me on FB. www.facebook.com/home.php#!/profile.php?id=1734841151

I would also like to apologize to the role player that I dragged through the field by City A while screaming obscenities at him. Just wanted to say your role playing was spot on and hope there are no hard feelings. Haha, no hard feelings whatsoever, I love it when people get into the game. This was a very fun event in my opinion, I saw a lot of old friendly faces and met some new ones. I heard some complains about people yelling across the ridges, that may have been me. During the course of my roleplaying, I, and several other roleplayers were acting as a NEST team trying to find a dirty bomb in one of the cities. However, we ended up being stuck on a ridge and we re all shot at one point or another. (Thanks to the medic who was there, he put up with all our screaming about the painful bullet wounds) And after sitting for a long time (something that I don't enjoy) I got bored and decided to roleplay. I stood up, yelled at the Koreans for shooting my friends, and was hit in the chest several times. I got into character, I am sorry if I offended anybody with my explicit shouting, I didn't mean to. A quick shout out to the Chinese, it was awesome rolling with you guys, I was glad to get out my 74u and actually play. Thanks to everyone who came out and made this possible.

First of all I would like to thank Canto and the FLakk crew for putting this event on! For the first time in my 3 years of playing in Bangor I was on the North side, And I now feel the pain of the previous green teams who were stationed on it the last few years. I agree with a lot of the comments stated before me, so instead of repeating I'll post some constructive ideas. I'm curious what would happen if you made the spawn points for each team on the east and west sides of the North ridge? I wonder if there would be more movement and less of a stalemate. Also it would be nice to have more/repaired bridges along parts of the river and/or structures at assist in cover when trying to get off the ridge. It seemed that if you stepped 10 feet down the ridge you would get lit up from the other side. As for the game, in the morning I had very little problems with hit calling. The green team did a great job randomly hitting us while we were chilling on our ridge . We left early due to three factors. One team member received a nasty knee injury. We also felt that people in the village did not need to be swearing at each other and the use of the 'N' expletive was NOT called for. We also became frustrated with some hit calling later in the day, which kind of killed the fun for us. When two of us unloaded our clips on 8 or so greens running into the village over an open field (watching our bb's fly into the group) and non of them called a hit, we decided to call it a day. All in all, it was a fun day and we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you again for hosting the event.

Had a GREAT time running medic (the one with the Thompson) for the TAN team on Saturday. Bangor almost ALWAYS results in a stalemate which, in my opinion, can be particularly awesome for certain game scenarios in South East Asia.
As far as the objectives go...what were they? I didn't receive ANY orders the ENTIRE day. A short 5 minute meeting before the game could have EASILY solved the comm problem. No one was on the same channel at the beginning of the game and once channels were established later in the day it was more of a chat room then means of effectively communicating.
I was impressed with TAN's performance before lunch. When the buzzer sounded we were just getting ready to push up the hill finally and break the stalemate. After lunch, the two dozen of us left held out Col. Custer style.
I was REALLY impressed with the mortar system, albeit the fact that if you don't kill anything the mortar can explode; resulting in the crew's death. That was the only part of the day that really irked me. I didn't see any not hit calling just about the entire day.
Thanks to all the players who let me "drag" them back to a safer place. Thanks to AA and whoever owns Hole in the Wall, that place rocks. Also a big thanks to Tex for the cool pictures in the gallery.
Can't wait for the next event!

PICTURES!! I had a great time at Flash Fire. I spent the first 3 hours taking pictures and I saw fair play on both sides. I think it was one of the best games as far as team leaders giving direction and having clear objectives. If guys would have radios on, they would know more of what's going on and not be out of the loop on objectives. I thought that cheating (NOT CALLING) was vastly improved over last year. Besides the tan team bugging out early, and the game not starting on time again, it was a great day! As far as pictures go, I took hundreds and am posting 256. I tried to get you all, so if you're not in any, it's not my fault. You should have shouted to me.... many guys did and they are in here. Here is the link. Enjoy, and tell me what you think. Mobbro got quite a few good CO profile shots. Would make for excellent player bios or portrait pieces. Lot of good shots and nice player groupings. Thank you for such good work!
I'm seeing a lot of potential for promotions and posters here, though sadly I don't have any jokes this time around either...
