Canto,
First and foremost... You know that I think of you as a brother and wouldn't say anything to try and offend you in the least.
I only played the first half of the event today for two reasons. 1. I'm still healing from a broken heel and a fractured foot. So not being able to run was a huge upset for me and a huge drag on my tactical play. 2. The game went absolutely no where. ' It's safe to say that we've all "camped", but when we're given objectives and they're not completed for fear of being hit or lack of direction via command, then there's a problem and it's rediculous. If you can't handle it, ruck the fuk up or get out. I'm just sick of games going absolutely no where because of each team being content with where they are....
Like I said, Armory Airsoft throws the most events in the region, by far. I know that I love them, but a field change would also be nice once in a while. Ya know? Charlotte, Schoolcraft, etc.

I wasn't at the event, but wanted to chip in some support for more events at the Charlotte field. I play with several guys in that area and not having to drive so far to play on a decent field would help us get out more.

Well the bad news first:
Cheating was sorta rampant on both sides this year, although it was definitely improved over last year. Green team also had a SERIOUS motivation problem, although I think this is attributable to the overwhelming number of "snipers" on the team.
That said, the good news: Cheating was MUCH improved over last year, I had an excellent time and really never really experienced issues with tan not calling hits. After lunch the motivation for green picked up like crazy, although it was really only 10 of us that pushed hard (go Chinese XD).
Had a good time, I definitely enjoy the Bangor field, good friends on both sides of the line.
Also WTF happened to tan after lunch? We made a crazy push for tan CO and we can across, at best a dozen or so tan over the entire hill!?

I had a great time. I had no issues with hit calling or overkill, although I know others did. The list of objectives was kind of cool, but more items found throughout the field would have helped. I forget which game it was but hauling that huge ammo crate filled with concrete took a lot of manpower away from the village last time which allowed the opfor to take over. Pretty much anything to change up who controlled what territory would have helped to avoid stagnation.
The FDC was having a rough day too. We lost village A at the start of the day because of a mortar fire mission gone wrong. I'll have to register the guns prior to calling in fire support next time!
All in all good game. But like PoRnsTaR said a new location or an expansion of the current field would help change things up. I know there's a ton of land by village A that is "out of bounds" that could be opened up depending on who owns the land. Its already a large field, but because of the terrain there are almost always only two routes to attack from so choke points happen. Still looking forward to your next game though.

Aside from the occasional issue with hit calling, I have very few gripes about Flashfire this year. The only negative thing that sticks out in my mind were a few people in City C shooting through the cracks in the buildings. I always thought that doing so was not allowed, however if I am mistaken please let me know. I would also like to apologize to the role player that I dragged through the field by City A while screaming obscenities at him. Just wanted to say your role playing was spot on and hope there are no hard feelings.

Well I had a great time at this game. Always great to see everybody and meet new people. I heard a small amount of hit calling issues, which isn't anything new. It was no where near as bad as least year though.
The new objective system was definitely interesting. I personally liked it, however this system puts much more responsibility on the team's CO. Just my opinion, but perhaps it should be used on only milsims. These scenario games typically don't show as much organization from the teams. In this case however, I think both team COs did very well.
The first half of the game obviously was a bunch of camp 'n shoot garbage. That was simply the fault of everyone playing though. Neither side was attempting to do much, so nothing happened. The second half when my team and several others came in as the Chinese was amazing. The 12 of us had a blast.
To all my fellow Chinese team- It was a blast playing with you guys!
Piper- I'm glad we got to sort of work together the second half. And I heard a lot of good things about your team during the day!
The Green CO- Although I wasn't on your team, from what I seen you did an excellent job commanding. The green team really had it together, and that is usually very hard to accomplish.
Kaboose- It was great working with ya the first half. And Mini and I had fun the second half capturing you!
Again, great seeing everyone. I'll see ya'll at Plymouth next month!
Edit- There better be more pictures out there!!

My thanks to Armory airsoft for hosting a pretty good op. I agree with porn star though on the subject of first half of the game lacking objectives and motivation. Tex as usual great pic's especially of me.

Had a great time with all of you after I got my 60 back up and running. My stupidity with the seetings on the battery charger was the problem, but all in all it was a good time and a well spent day with all of you. Glad we could make the trip from Chi-town and I look forward to shooting you all again soon. Canto thanks for the great game.

The myself, ninja, and moose had a blast, and it was well worth the trip across the state for. There where little issues of cheating, and the objective system gave reason to have people stationed through-out the field defending potential objectives, which was both boring and fun. My only serious issue all day long was the camping. I seriously regret not switching to a non-restricted engagement weapon and moving up myself because I was so frustrated with members of my own team looking at me like I was stupid when I called for them to move up.

Great game! I had lots of fun and I know my brother did too. The green teams motivation lacked in the first half, but I don't know what did it in the second. It was pretty amazing seeing how many people showed up. Great game hosted by Armory Airsoft. I left at about 5:30 and the game was still going good. Does anyone know who won?

From the P.O.V. of a guy on Tan Team:
Cheating was bad, organization was bad, overall 3/10.
This was my first time at this field, and I was not impressed. It seemed to me that the entire place was set up to promote stalemates. I never once made it to the southern side of the field; closest I got was about halfway down the north ridge near Village A. As far as I could tell, everyone in the Village and trying to attack it from the north spent the entire game lobbing bb's back and forth and rarely calling their hits.
For the first game, Tan did not even see their Spawn Point before the game started. On one occasion, the CO organized a group of 20-30 guys to attack Village A, they stood around and talked about it, then they just dispersed. About 10 minutes later a squad of guys came to help reinforce the attack that never happened and met heavy resistance in the form of a dozen Green guys lobbing bb's up the hill before abandoning the position.
At the start of the second game, only about a dozen members of Tan were in the Spawn when the game started, and one member ran around for the first hour trying to reach the CO since he had our objective packet. Tan started retreating the field en masse, mostly fed up with the lack of playability left in the game. We were left completely directionless with the lines not budging an inch in our favor at any point on the field. A friend and I who had been the only line of defense against assault from Village A were relieved by three guys, as we were both low on ammo, and after making a failed attempt to either reach the village or move towards Village E to reach the South Ridge, we joined the mass retreat.
I never once heard what an objective was, saw the CO once during both games, and was at the edge of my range trying to hit guys who were lobbing bb's from behind corners of buildings like they had a dozen extra mags to spare. There was no cover to move forward on any position, and the borders of the playing area prevented any flanking maneuvers.
I do regret not bringing coms into the field, not because it would have been nice to contact a CO or Squad Leader, but because I would have loved to have a ref come over and put and end to cheating on both sides. I don't care what team you are on, you play fair. That means that you have your 5 minute bleed out, and if the medic says "Just get down and I'll heal you" after your time is up and you are walking back to the spawn, you continue to walk back to the spawn. That means if you are hit, you call it, bleed out, and walk back to the spawn. That means that if you are dead, you don't talk. Common sense rules that always apply, and yet I saw them being broken left and right.
Trash talking was another thing that plagued this event, as well as the leud graffiti. I don't care how frustrated you are, there is no reason you can't act like an adult and treat the other players with some respect. Also, when we are trying to promote this sport, graffiti of a nude woman and the F bomb in the photos probably isn't going to convince people to come out and play. Yes, I get it, it's funny; but have a little decency.
Hopefully this event improves in the future, but I'm going to have to hear some pretty good things about it before I go back.

Alrighty, my first post for my first game. Let me start by saying thanks to Canto and the guys at Armory Airsoft for putting on a great game. Thanks to Black Talon, I had a lot of fun trying to run with you guys in the second half. And mostly thanks to Rooster for dragging me out to Flashfire 4 and proving to me just how awesome airsoft could be. I had a great time at this op. I know it was my first real game, but I felt it was great. The Green team managed to accomplish all but one of our objectives before lunch. And I did not see too much failure to call hits or any other cheating. After lunch I hooked up with the Chinese and ran myself ragged trying to keep up with them. Over all I give it an 8/10 (just because I have to leave some room for improvement). The only things I have to complain about are: 1-The hills (my fault not the fields). I need to work on decreasing my roundness and improving my general shape level. 2- The Tan team kind of disappeared after lunch. We had a good start but then word came down that twenty or so of the Tan team were in the parking lot leaving, and it just continued after that. By the end of the game there were only about ten so left. That had to make things as boring and crappy for those that stayed as for the Green team (I am including China in the Green team). Also, I know that Rooster and I both said it at the field but a BIG thanks to Glass Architect for fixing my AUG. I would not have had nearly as much fun if Rooster had been stuck pistoling it all day or even worse just moping about.
