Oh God... is that my ECR? Its beautiful! Nope, that is my CA M4 I bought in late '09 and posted pictures of on my first page in late '10. I hardly changed it until just recently. I ended up trading your ECR-4 to my brother since he has always wanted one, and I bought an ECR-5. The ECR's are awesome rifles but since my CQBR is pretty much the only AEG I use indoors the 14.5" ECR-4 didn't work as well as the 10.5" ECR-5 will. If you ever sell that G3, I've got dibs. Is it the wood kit everyone likes, or something about the overall look? I'm curious since I have received so many comments about it. I really want to get an FN FAL with wood furniture to go with it. I love the old school battle rifles.

Too bad ARC. I already told him I had dibs on the CA Woodie. (Trust) It's my gun from back in 09 ! He definitely turned it into a sexy beast though!

Plus, older German guns with wood furniture always seem to look good.

My Surefire Scout light M620C finally came in. Only took a month. It's a lot smaller and lighter than I thought it would be. I'm very happy with it. I made a lens protector at work for both the M620C and X300 from Makrolon polycarbonate which is bullet resistant. Should stop BB's just fine. I took apart my PTW to check out all the guts, and I was inspired by the trigger system. Since I have an AWS stealth mosfet which replaces the entire trigger system, I added a limiting screw to the trigger inside the gearbox. I can now adjust the reset point of the trigger and adjusted it to the end of the trigger button. The trigger firing mechanic is now identical to the PTW system. The only major difference in trigger function is that my AEG gearbox does not count the revolutions and therefore has a mechanical cut off system (which isn't as good). The trigger pull is exactly the same between my AEG (@330fps w PDI 120% spring) and PTW (@400 fps, M120/whatever PTW springs are) and the trigger response is so close I can't really tell. This isn't a "I built an AEG into a PTW!" type statement. Believe me, I know the mechanical advantages the PTW planetary system has, I'm just happy that my AEG now has a trigger that feels just like my PTW (which is awesome). The mod was a bit more involved than I originally expected and involved modding the safety arm, the trigger, the cut off lever, and a tiny mod to the shell. Hopefully someone enjoys the tech talk. Anyway, on to the pics. Front end. Also, note the paint worn from the trigger. 120,000 rounds and counting. Granted it's not 100% stock, and I re shimmed it and re lube it often, but that is a lot of rounds. My primary CQB weapons. CA X-series, and KWA HK45. The last piece of the puzzle to complete my CQBR V2 project. A G&P Colt trademarked body. It seems most airsoft companies differ in their placement of the pin above the trigger. I need to track down a G&P shell before I can swap the body. HK45 trades because Shooters Design does such a damn fine job. Fit and finish is excellent. The accuracy with the Creation 6.01 inner is fantastic. No actual grouping numbers, but in CQB I can land 8 out of 10 shots on average. Not bad considering I have less than 500 rounds through it.

Helmet looks very spiffy.
I saw this a while back, and have been thinking on doing it. Looks to work pretty well with helmets:

Thanks Da Vinci. I had intended to use those large buckles for my goggles but I might just have to order a second set. I had time today to make the helmet Northern Light legal. I think the American flag will be removed to make space for my Contour.

Thanks.
When playing as a DM most solid color helmets really stand out from a distance. I will be scanning an area through my scope and BAM! A big tan, green, or black blob next to a tree or wall. I wanted to avoid that but I couldn't find an M81 pattern cover for the helmet. I figured what the hell and just painted it sort of like M81 since that is what I will be wearing. I didn't want to do a snake skin since I don't think it would look good with the rest of my gear. My pattern isn't perfect but I think it looks ok. As I said before I don't really like helmets so I probably won't wear it much anyway.
EDIT: As a side note, I tried connecting my goggles and face mask to the helmet. Horribly uncomfortable. I found putting my goggles and face mask on my head then putting the helmet on over them works best for me. My Comtac phone on the right side interferes with my check weld now that they are on the ARC rails.
Mo gear, Mo problems.
