I just wanted to say that it was awesome getting to meet some of you guys and play together. Op 9H was our group's (Lake Michigan Airsoft Group) first big event, and it was great.
You people are awesome and I'm glad to have had the chance to come out and sling some plastic with you all.
To put a face to the name...I was the Tan CO.
I'm too tired to type out anything else, but needless to say, we will definitely be back out soon.

I'm missing anything that was turned in! Seriously though, other then getting shot in the fore head with a 3~4 shot burst, then being captured by the ACU team, beaten and teabagged, it was a fun! Er... I mean... Anyway, sucked we had to bunch after lunch but for the few hours we were there it was an absolute BLAST! So who won the ARES M4-A1 btw? When I told TJ he should raffle one, I didn't think he really would I have nothing else to say.

That was a great time, well done guys! Other than it being the place where my grand dad grew up (that's a joke, referencing everything being "uphill both ways").
I did loose a mag for a spring pistol, I will have to see if I can get you a model number tomorrow when I can actually find the pistol again under the heap of gear.
Modified to say: If you don't find it, no worries at all. It wasn't a notable pistol. (modified to further say: Doh! I am really tired and missed the PM me part fully. I apologize!)

Overall not terrible. Heard a few of the refs getting a little out of hand, but otherwise it was okay. It seemed like throughout the day, nobody really knew what they were supposed to do. Also, there was way to much friendly fire.
Next year:
Better coms.
Better objectives.
2 teams.

Great game - wouldn't change a thing. Didn't see anyone not calling hits or trying to cheat in any way. Refs were very fair and did their best to stay out of the line of fire and not give away positions while still being where they could see what was what. Very controlled, very safe, very fun.
I did hear a few complaints from green team RE: their CO, but that is going to happen.
Face to a name: I was ACU's medic from about 12:30ish on.
Will be going back.

For anyone who is wondering, this is how an Airsoft Game should be run, from start to finish..
Youngs of GR should be proud to have FAH as their partner in this thing. You guys are headed to elite status IMHO.
Great job to the ACU team. We were highly outnumbered, completely outgunned, and most of the time, low on ammo. Complete honor was shown by all sides. People were respectful and everything was great. Kustom and co. deserve all the props for really bringing a high level of Airsoft Milsim to Michigan.
And I loooooove games with 3 hostile teams!! Great Idea, hope you keep it for the future.

I have to say that this has was definitely my favorite event in my short one year career into Airsoft. With that being said I would like to thank TJ from Youngs in G.R. and Kustom (as well as the rest of F.A.H.) for hosting a great game. Hands down I enjoyed the event from beginning to end!
As far as game play goes I would like to the thank the Army(A.C.U.) team for a job well done. What really helped lead us to victory was great communication and team movement. Violence of action had a part to do with it as well.
Munster~You were a beast out there, I never had to worry about enemies advancing towards me if you were there. Fatty~Honestly if it wasn't for you we would not have been victorious. You knew the place like the back of your hand. The "spot" on the ridge was genius. "D" AZN Sniper~Great job out there today. It would not have been possible without you either. The shot on the tango in the city...priceless (PM sent by the way). JediAndrew~I know it was frustrating steadily running prisoners to our respawn but I greatly appreciate it. Good job being silent as well during the downed pilot portion of the event. To everyone else that ran with the Army, I don't remember your name but you know you did good.
And I just have to say that ACU kicked ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seeing how we only had 8-10 infantry all day when we captured 22 prisoners during the first half(including the Marines C.O. twice, and Insurgents C.O.), which in turn gave us the advantage into the second half. However, we did accomplish one objective with the LAW's and C4.
Going into the second half I wasn't sure how it would turn out with us having to defend the downed pilot while being attacked by 60+ enemies. How we held the area for 45 minutes to victory is beyond me.
The final stand was awesome (even though the hill was a nightmare). I knew I was going to die after Fatty and Dallas got wiped out. All I could do was shoot and move. I successfully eliminated four hostiles before being eliminated myself.
In conclusion I would like to add that we will be there next year with more Crew members this time!!!

I enjoyed myself till it hurt And thank yo for the raffle, it was nice to win something I needed badly. So far I have not had my ass so very thoroughly kicked by a field! It's so huge I don't think we even played on like 30% of the landmass (correct?). I kept comparing the hills to those of Hole-In-The-Wall, which tend to be sheer but short. YOU folks gave us steep hills that JUST...KEPT...GOING! I did like how, even though there was so much brush, there were actually a great many clear and manageable ways to sneak around the field. Normally when I am introduced to a new field I ask about things like hazards and dangerous animals (had coyote, skunk, bobcat, ground bees) and folks seem to scoff about it. Well go figure, the day I go and stop asking is when TJ points out the snake holes at Tan respawn! And go figure I get one slithering not even 2 feet in front of me as I'm laying prone in a bunker! If I could make one critical point about the field, it would be about the location of Tan team's spawn on the Mortar Hill. The hill is fine, and it takes so manning up to huff it over and over again, that I got no problem with. But between that loosely covered drop off right in the middle of prime standing area (constantly having to yell at people not to walk on it), the narrow narrow walking area to get around it that forced people to trip over each other and the steep slippery sand slope, I have to believe there are safer and more accommodating areas nearby to put a spawn point. But I may be making a mountain out of a mortar hill. (badum-bum!) I liked the experienced and managed set up and deployment of the parking and briefing. I kind of liked the no-nonsense of the mods yelling, and while it seemed a bit harsh at times, I know it comes from being tired of playing this "can-you-hear-me-now" horse shit that there is no legitimate reason for. I can't command the presence or authority that these guys did though, so I'm tempted to make future briefings goggles-on so we can just SHOOT the chatterbox children. Dynamojack, our CO seemed to do an okay job considering so many of us were first time visitors to the field, and the comm failure we suffered. Thankfully, the Tan team seemed to be agreeable and ready to go and quickly to any small task, even if just running messages to groups without working radios. I liked the level of cooperation I saw out there. It did suck that we spent so much time just milling around because no one was really sure what we needed to do next, but that's comm failure. And I did not like what seemed to be excessive team killing in Round 2. I swear, many of us on Tan didn't even SEE any ACU guys for that first or second round! So we could not figure out what they were doing to score so many points (good on ya for the win guys). But I also have to wonder how many points Tan missed out on because we didn't call in all our captures... Casper, that M60 of yours is a weapon of TERROR! Fun times going to war with or against you man, I loved it! And it was fanTASTIC to see so many more familiar faces to work this new field experience. And again, the new faces I saw seemed to be plenty agreeable, making it a great team game for me. I didn't get to medic Nah, I was the tan guy with the noisey AK silencer. L&F Colin, you have my knife in your van.

Alrighty, now that I'm rested up...
It has been mentioned already, but I really wanted to thank Kustom, TJ, and the rest of the FAH members for putting on a great show for us.
Having you guys up there screaming at us was definitely appreciated and the rest of my team feels the same way. I can't even imagine how it is to try and keep 90+ people in line at these events. So, big kudos to you guys for making it work.
As far as my ability to command a group of ~30 terrorists I'm going to go ahead and apologize now. I probably wasn't the best choice for the job considering that I had never seen the field before (or been to a MilSim game at that), but I do want to say that I really appreciate the level of respect I got from everyone on and off the field. You guys really made the stress of the job easier on me and I am proud to have had the chance to lead you.
Tan team did great with what we had. We accomplished 3 of our objectives and captured the Green CO as well as a medic from one of the teams if I remember correctly.
My only criticism is that I wish the CO's had some time to address the teams and try to formulate a battle strategy away from the other teams. I know that I would have liked to know who on my team had Comms, form squads, etc. Though, with us being uncoordinated insurgents, it did add a little to the realism I think.
All in all, I am really happy with how things were run. Like I said before...Now that we know what to expect, my team and I will be out to more events with everyone.

I want to THANK ALL for coming out and making 9 Hammers a success.
dynamojack: Thanks for being the Tan CO. Being your first time out to the field, I'm sure it wasn't easy. You did a great job especially with all the comms trouble.
Tino, Bill, and the KZOO CREW: You guys kicked ass. Great team work and leadership.
Dickson: As always, thanks for being Green CO.
Sorry, I know I missed tons of people so again, thanks to EVERYONE for coming out.
A young lady from Team FRAAG won the Ares M4. I am told she just joined the team and was looking to buy an aeg. What good luck!!!
By the end of the day, it seemed like everyone had a great time and no one got hurt or lost. GREAT DAY!!!
Now we just need to get those PICS!!!

Thanks TJ and FAH for hosting a great event. It's always a blast to get down there and connect names to faces. Casper that is one hell of a bb hose you have man, very nice! Good work to Sharky for picking up a leadership role and making a storm to the city. Thanks a lot for the raffle and congo-rats to all who won. Good organization and great weather made it a fantastic day. The only downside is teams did not have a lot of time to plan and strategize before the beginning of the match. Thanks again!

Yesterday was truly awesome, 'tween running for my life from Tino and the ACU guys, the rush up the hill, settin' up SAMs, and gettin' shot in the forehead I never had a moment without some adrenaline pumping wildly.
FAH, once again, you guys put on a great event, thanks to you and TJ for makin' it possible (I even won something this year!!!). Great work with the ref'ing also, I really appreciated having a ref always just around the corner.
