Before you edited your main event thread.
It said walk on pays welcome. Whats up with the change?

That was a mistake I made when I first posted this thread. I edited that out several weeks ago... With the amount of money that needs to be invested in both additional props, food, etc; prepay is essential to this event. Also, let's get those prepays in! The first 10 people who prepay for this event will get free passes into Operation: Flash Fire V, on Saturday, October 16th, 2010. Not trying to sound like a smart ass or anything, but it's been changed for weeks. It's not like I edited that out this evening...

SO if we can't pay by saturday we're screwed?
BS.
At least extend the pre-pay period, as Im sure none of us expected to throw down $40 towards this event this week.
Also, it actually just said you could walk on pay like...2 days ago. I know this because I was checking the thread for the multicam switch.

Echelon,
Again, I don't want to sound like a dick; but it's been changed for several weeks. I mean, honest mistakes happen man, it might have been so small of a change that it just went unnoticed...
Unfortunately, we're probably going to have to shelve this event. With the additional field construction, ordering, and preparation we need to do, an extension will cut it far too close...

... If you're going to "shelve" this event at least hold a walk on regular event (maybe even a 24 hour just without the props, food, etc.) on the same date. I know a lot of people, including me, who have already spent a LOT of money on special gear/supplies for this event. I also know speaking for myself that I took 3 days off of work for this and taking time of where I work needs to be done almost two months in advance.
Just going to be a big bummer if I spent the money, time, etc. for a event that is going to be "shelved".

It obviously was not completely edited weeks ago as I saw it listed two days ago. We can argue about this all we want but it isn't going to change anything now.
I agree 100% with blag. I even spent over 500$ to get my new rifle here in time so I could have it for this event. We need to at least make SOMETHING happen. I am not gonna sit on my couch all weekend.

Although I may have not spent the same amount of money as others here (as I am 15) but I did spend a good amount of money on things that I thought would be being used at this event. If this game is going to be "shelved" then I think there should be some other MILSIM event happening that day. I don't care if it is a 24hr event, or just a regular MILSIM, but I don't want to see my money I spent go to waste...

Wait, let me get this straight, you guys spent lots of money on gear and guns for the event and can't send in $40.00(as of now, no one has payed) a month before a game that would have been one of the best? I'm certainly not going to dish out all my money for the props and food only to find out that half the people who signed up don't show. And you wonder why I'm considering shelving this event?

Easy, I have no problem pre-paying. I just don't want to this minute if there are talks of the event not happening and my money being tied up.
You can still have a mil-sim 24hr event that date/time just don't have food or props. Make it a $15-20 event and walk-ons welcome. Problem solved.

I will pre-pay if ABSOLUTELY necessary.
I just don't understand why this REQUIRES brand new props, and why food is THAT important?
Cant you just use the props from bangor, and allow people to bring their own food? I understand you guys want uber super realism^max, but taking the event off, and "shelving it seems like a much more awful idea.

Canto are you going to take checks or paypal only? I would rather send a check than credit card, if you want to discuss this via pm I can do that as well.
As long as this doesn't get canceled is anyone willing near the D to give me a ride? I'll give gas money I just can't exactly count on my car for such a drive.

I was going to sign up, with one or two other guys. I like Blag's idea, do it anyway without the props or food.
