Echelon,
We need to know what side you and QRF will fall on for this event.
No, we will not be serving actual MCI's for the on-site chow. But they will be a bit close. Hot chow will also be provided.

What percentage of the effort would you say will be put into night operations?
(IE: Purchasing flares, lighting equipment, etc.)

CQBR,
To answer your question, significant. I will not divulge what we are using yet, but we have several different ideas.
However, night operations just like in real life we depend on how well equipped the members of each team are. If people are smart and bring flashlights, etc. Things will do easier for the people. If people are dumb and use their cell phone for personal light, well. I guess their kinda fucked...
Also, the use of lights of any kind at night come with an inherent risk. As does smoking at night. Either of which can give away your position to the enemy.

I just wanted to know if that was actually part of the planning or if it was going to be like other events where everyone runs around like chickens with their heads cut off. ODA 561 will be green. Headcount not for a while though.

This event is as much of a social experiment as it is a military simulation...
You will be tired, you will be sore, you will be hungry, your temper will flare.

Interested in attending this event...I'll PM you later this week Canto.
The only thing that kind of frightens me is the ability to not get water - Michigan is still hot around September.

The fix to that problem is to not guzzle your water down in the first hour haha. Think how our fighting service members have to deal with it, they can go days without water. You just have to tough it out. I'm also of thinking of switch to the Vietnamese, my dad will stay on the SOG. Not sure if I want to yet haha. 6 Color Desert is PAVN right?

Miles,
We will be providing water when players require it. We're not just going to leave you all stranded out there without adequate water. Players are just not allowed to leave the field for water.
