I know it was really frustrating for many, and pissed a lot of people off. But instead of just bitching about it and considering quitting or not coming to another Flash Fire, let's figure out what we can do so this level of cheating and poor sportsmanship doesn't happen again. Make your games 18+, problem solved. I play half the year in Florida where they are age Nazi's for 18+, and never once have we had an issue with hit calling where the person wasn't thrown out of the game in 10 minutes or less. (It happened once to this random kid wearing head to to Real-Tree Camo...I suck my own wang and its great!) We also use an Embedded Moderator system that is very effective as well. Players 16 and under have no business playing a game that is branded "MilSim" with semi-complicated ojectives. They simply cannot handle the logistics of playing the game honorably, and completing a task at the same time. Playing up here was the first time I have ever played with anyone under 18 before and although I've met a select few of players that are 16 and under (Actually I don't know how old you guys are. All I know is your shorter and less fat than me therefore your 16-ish...I have nothing else to say) that can handle more than one responsibility while playing. It's unfortunate that the small handful is outnumbered by the group of immature ones 10 to 1. Although I wasn't at this game, I've heard pretty much all good things about the other events John has run and I think it's safe to say that this game may have been a fluke. I don't really understand why the under 16 crowd is objecting to having an age limit on AA's games. If you are indeed a responsible player they stated you could still attend the event and play. Nothing more to worry about. As for the guys wanting to do a "Boot Camp" thing. I like your idea since I was going to do something similar, but I don't think it's going to work if you "train" players as individuals. You need to do it as teams. Granted that could be a double-edged sword since with a whole team of young players it will be hard to instill "grown up" values in them when they have their buddies to joke around with. But if you "train" one at a time, they will most likely be lumped in with some other immature younger players who will revert them back to their old ways. I was going to do a re-vamped SUT (Small Unit Tactics) course when I got back for the summer for teams that wanted to improve their cohesion as a group and learn to operate as a unit more effectively. If you guys need any help just let me know since I will be doing mine next summer and I would love to help you guys out with yours if you decide on it. Did anyone take pics of this game save for Carl-ito?

. Lastly, this is a public statement to Big Tex. I don't want to hear you flaming other players when you were encouraging our group to leave respawn early. In case you don't know, this too is considered cheating. As it has been said, "Honor is like a large pane of glass, you can shoot it with a bb or drive a truck through it. Either way, it's still broken." Thanks again Armory Airsoft. You guys rock. I was going to say this, I was in the spawn when he tried to do this, I don't normally fight fire with fire, however, I must point this out... Tex, I did something unsportsmanlike like, and close to cheating, and I am publicly saying sorry to everyone. However, you have NO right to be calling me out, I only saw you in the spawn once [and this one time you were trying to get us to leave early], and from everyone I've talked to that's the only time you were seen there . I have seen you myself clearly notice you were hit, call out, then walk to another location and keep playing as if nothing happened, and I have seen you not call hits I know you felt, not many of the shots were from myself, but from others. I talked to the camera man, he said he saw you do this many times, and may have even gotten video of you doing it. Some members on the green team said that you not calling your hits WAS brought up. I drove the truck, and you shot the BB, either way, our honor has been broken.I have nothing else to say silly child. Because of this child, I vote for 18+ restriction.

I have nothing else to say silly child. Because of this child, I vote for 18+ restriction. Please, do tell what was so wrong about that? I would like to know what I'm doing wrong so I can stop being so ignorant. The fact that your digging a deeper and deeper hole for yourself by justifying your statements of you incinuating that Tex was one of the many cheaters at this game by prompting his fire team to leave the spawn "early". (Hooray for run-on sentences) If you think he's a cheater, thats your own opinion, but there really isn't any reason to keep re-hashing it over and over again. I'm suprised Tex hasen't verbally spartan kicked him yet. Prolly cause he hasn't read anything yet.

Also, as a friendly reminder to everyone, call the player out IN PERSON. It's useless to do it over a forum. If you do it in person, preferably on game day, Moderators can actually do something about it. So learn from this, grow a pair and yell at them in person.

A simple, yet effective way to solve almost any problem... Anyway, I like to look on the bright side of the cheating problem. If some dude isn't calling his hits, there are a few ways I enjoy to attempt to remedy this problem myself. First, throw a few more hundred bbs at him, maybe aim a little higher, or perhaps a 203 point blank.... Even with objectives at hand, I am out there to have fun, and if people don't call their hits, it just makes it harder for the team to win. I know we like a challenge, so unless he is five feet away blatantly cheating, (in which case you call him out on it) me and the guys just have to work that much harder to make them 'die.'

Guys, enough.
I realize that I am guilty of expressing my feelings an an over-the-top manner. If, by me doing so, it gave the rest of you an incentive to do so, then I apologize to the community at large.
But attacking 'karma' and posting stupid web piczors is way out of hand. As is attacking people personally. If it was that big of a deal, as Ghast mentioned, you should have called it on the field.
I think we're reaching the 'nuff said mark here. I can chronicle the whole day with everyone's posts, mine included. Most of us have had our say, now lets move on before this become a bitch-fest.
We all (well, whoever did, really) complained, and Canto and AA have promised to put things right next year. It's a business. You show a business you support it with your money. If you don't believe in that business, don't spend money there.
In the end, if the dollars don't make sense, business practices will change. Next year, decide anew how to spend your time and money, and go from there. Either go to the game or don't, and your attendance and money will decide how airsoft changes in Michigan.

Aiming a little bit higher as in head shot? Thats a big no and heres why. A simple hey mod go check those guys, i've shot (insert approximate amount of bbs) at them, and/or i've seen my bbs bounce off them and no one has called hits. I know the pic is off me getting shot up close, but it still was a shot to the face and it hurts. With some of the guns out there a shot to the face could do some serious damage.

WOW. All this over hit calling. If they don't call it just shoot them again. How hard can it be? I have nothing else to say

Hello all,
I was the photographer that was taking pictures the entire first half of the game. I shot 360 stills and about 10 mins of video. I have been working on downloading, editing, reducing and posting since Sunday, and will get about 300 on line hopefully by tomorrow. I tried to get a picture of everyone at least once, so if I missed you, I'm sorry.
As usual, you guys put on a great event. I had a great time as I always do in Bangor.
As far as not calling hits go... I, as cameraman, stopped play at one time to call some kid out. I was taking his picture when he was hit in the face, said aloud that he was getting shot up, then moved up the hill a little and started shooting again. I couldn't let this blatant cheating pass, so I had to say something. I apologize if I overstepped my bounds, not being a mod & all.
As far as the rest of the not calling, I just kept shooting them until they squealed.
I did have an awesome time. Teams were fair for most of the game. New rules, buildings, etc. definately added to the game. I liked the little missions (get the paper attached to the mod tower) better than the large (go take the airfield) missions. They were more exciting and goal oriented.
John, thanks for the hospitality and another great FlashFire

Aiming a little bit higher as in head shot? Well not exactly. Trust me, I have been hit in the face and had bloody welts many times. I prefer to aim for back of the head at their hats, helmets, ect... or or right below the kneck where most tac vests/ armor stops....

I can't wait for the pics so everyone on here can find a new subject to talk about besides who didn't call what or spawned to quick and so on. Like it was said earlier "SAY IT ON THEM FIELD" can't fix it now, or prove it now. AND IT HAS BEEN SAID ENOUGH ON HERE WHY WOULD YOU JUST REPEAT WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING.
Looking forward to the next AA game, no matter how much the players can fuck it up I still enjoy the game and most of the people.
