Thanks Mosin, I agree with almost all of what you say.
I posted up a new pic for those of you interested. I did a little work to the suppressor - I think it still needs a bit more work though. I also wrapped the cheek piece which has added a lot of durability to it. I shortened the front end up a bit too because there was a lot of wasted length.

I think you wrapped a little too far up, but whatever you like man.
Also, I am gonna assume you didn't make it out to Wayne today?

The tape kept fraying at the edge cause it was too close to the lip. I don't mind it up there. It feels way more durable than before. I really like it.
The outer layer of tape is black gorilla tape and under that is a layer or two of military 100mph tape. It turned out greyish so I needed to coat it with black tape.
EDIT: I could use an exacto knife or just a sharp blade and run about halfway down the tape that's a bit far out. Since its already pressing down the lip edge, cutting the excess out wouldn't be too bad. Don't know if its worth it though since it works fine right now.
EDIT 2: I cut about 1/2 of an inch off of the front of the tape. Looks much better. Gotta love MIA for constructive criticism.

IMO the tape job looks too neat. Taping up the rifle is something that you see lot with old school style shooters, they know what they want exactly and that's what they crave for. Those guys are usually the ones that paint camouflage paintjobs into their rifles too.
Maybe you should try and give it a camo job and see if it doesn't grow on you?

I agree. I still don't like the look of the tape but I would not like it less if it were just a bit sloppier (and smaller). Just a simple:
|| /|| ||/ ||
would look great IMHO. (If you catch my drift...)

Gun itself is nice, homemade suppressor and cheekrest are not. (At least IMO)
Get the Docter on the 45 though. That's the setup I have for one of my PTW's and it actually works really well. Although you may not need it though since those adjustment turrets on that scope are really short and you should be able to see over them with the standard railed scope rings.
