FUN FUN ALL DAY! I will admit, i was a little afraid that with the numbers not in the DPRK's favor, but it all went well. a lot of good times all over the field, the best was trying to hold the airfield at the end. Met a lot of good people.
Oh, next time i see you trigger, ill give you that candy bar i owe you.

I had a great time. Aside from a little confusion over who was on which team, I thought the games went smooth and kept the action going. I met a bunch of cool guys; Goku, Judge, Blindshot, it was good to put a face to a name. Whoever the mercenary was that me handle his PTW for a minute in the village with Blindshot and Judge, let me know who you are. I can't remember your name...
Anyways, a great day overall and well worth the drive.

Alright, thanks for clearing that up for me. I had a good time rolling with you guys. Also, major props to the Canto and everyone else who did the work on and off the field both before and during the event. There were a lot of changes since the last time I'd been down, and everything was a lot sturdier and safer than last time. Also, the addition of the other buildings was very nice, and overall the field was just a ton of fun. Good job!

I had a good time overall, there was (like others have said) a lot of noob-ish behavior going on, not calling hits, switching sides, and all that good stuff, but i think they now all have a little more experience than what they started with, I ran on the Korean side of things and had a blast when me and Butters (Team FAH) ambushed about 8-10 guys by the peninsula and took them all out.
There was a lot of great fire fights, including the one where over 20 AEG's went off at once, I got pretty excited over that. There definitely needs to be more distinguished looks between the teams because my squad and I fired on friendlies on more than one occasion, but overall I think everyone had a great time and I would definitely go to another game out at Hole In The Wall Paintball.
Looking forward to seeing the pictures taken by the moderators.

This was the first time I have been to this field and I loved it! The terrain was perfect, two ridges overlooking a village and an airfield made for some intense firefights! Everyone I talked with was friendly and sounded like everyone had a blast. Will definately be coming back to this field. I'm kind of regretting not going here earlier this year now.
Best part for me was during the second half when squad 2 of the american side took the far ridge overlooking the airfield and attacked it. I was rolling with my sniper rifle and stayed up top, but watching 15-20 guys slide down the hill and a handfull of them fall into the creek was priceless! Good work guys! I can't wait for the pictures and videos to be posted!
Side note: Who was the guy in charge of squad 2 during the second half when we first crossed to the DPRK's side? He said he worked there, had a balaclava on, and needed to use my walkie talkie because his died. Anyway, just wondering if he's on the forums. Good job at commanding!

I dont recall seeing anyone with a camera, which is dissapointing because there was a lot of close action stuff.

Well, damn... I'm glad everyone had a great time over the weekend.
I would like to thank all of our new patrons (a ton of them) for taking the chance and coming out. I would also like to thank all of our returning patrons (Blindshot, Tex, Judge, BlackJack, etc) for coming back out and adding some veterans to the mix.
Also, a special thanks goes out to all of the Team FLAK members, Armory Airsoft staff, Theresa (my girlfriend) for running check-in, waivers, and making the North Korean (DPRK) flag, Megan (Derek's girlfriend) for running check-in after Theresa left, and finally all of the staff at Hole In The Wall Paintball for always being as accommodating, friendly, welcoming, and understanding.
All things considered, I would rate Operation: Flash Fire III as one of the top if not the best event we have ever ran at that location (excludes field rentals to remain impartial).
A few issues I would like to address, however nothing new...
- Players not calling hits... I wish we could prevent this... - Players switching uniforms, I have never seen it; but I believe it happened.
I will chalk a lot of the Allied Coalition being overrun to the experience level of the majority of the players on that side. The ratio of coalition to DPRK players was 4:1, coalition favor. I was very worried about having the DPRK overrun in the first 5 minutes. But that didn't happen. Remember, everyone has to start somewhere and aggression in airsoft is something that needs to be learned via first hand experience and cannot be taught.
But all things considered it was an awesome event. By far the most firefights I have seen on that field, ever...
Again, I'm glad that everyone had a great time out there and I can't wait until our next event on that field.

AWESOME!! That pretty much sums it up for me. I was on the American side against a smaller, but much more experienced, Korean force. (At least they seemed more experienced.) It seems that the American side had lots of NOOBS. I took some video during the game just before and after dinner break. Unfortunately, everyone but me on the squad I was with had the wrong channel selected on their radios, so I was also trying to relay information to them from the commander while filming both sides. So during some of the filming you will hear me yelling "GO GO... don't stand there...move, move....etc. I apologize ahead-of-time for some of the jerky quality of the video. I could see events happening, like the Korean force sneaking up on the village, and wanted to shoot my M-14 instead of video, so I would start looking around for support and stop looking through the camera. (DUH!) But I did get quite a few of you in action and some pretty intense firefights, including the attack on the airfield by the American force from the ridge. It is a brand new camera for me and I just got the video on the computer this morning. I will edit this week and see if I can get it on-line by Friday. If not, next week for sure. Cons: Not too many, but there were a few not calling hits. I even taped a merc not calling a hit with mods observing it too, but that happens. It happened to me also, when bullets were hitting all around me but I never felt the hit. They were yelling at me for not calling it, so I called a time-out and let them know I never felt a hit, but would take their word for it. With all the padding in places, some times you just don't know if it was you or the cover that got hit. The American forces were hard to get moving against the enemy at times I noticed. For being the attackers, they weren't very agressive. By the end of the day it did get better though. I am not a fan of folks testing their guns in a safe zone, like the camping area or parking lot. There are too many things unseen that can deflect a bb, and my eyesight is precious to me, and so is yours. If we are in a safe zone, there should be absolutely no firing. If guns need to be tested, head out into the field just behind the building and test them away from the safe zone. I know that most of you realize this fact, but it seemed a bit lax. This is something that should be enforced by everyone, not just those running the event. Pros: Comraderie! It was awesome to meet and fight along side of, and against a great group of guys. There was very little whining and everyone seemed to have a good time. It was also great to shoot at Tex again!! ;D The location is excellent, with every type of cover; trees, hills, brush, tall grass, buildings, holes, and that big guy in front of me. I would gladly drive the 160 miles again to battle there, but I would like to try the defend side of the field next time. The fireside after the event was fun too, as was the camping. Although waking up to 28 degrees was a bit nippy. I think we'll camp in the summer next time. Thanks to all who worked to put the event on. You did good! Also, I am missing a radio and earpiece. I don't remember his name on Whitey's team, but you forgot to take it off before you left. Let me know, ok?
