Then what are they concerned about? E-mail me thier arguments against it and I guarentee you that I can come up with something that will make it irrelevent. If worst come to worst, claim that they are brain washed by the media and if they would take the time to learn about it then they wouldn't have a problem.

yeah, insult them, that's the way to get them to let you play. Good thinking Alex. How'd that letter go over?

I have tryed that approach Alex but it really didn't help at all. As for the letter, I gave it to my parents last night and my mom liked it. She thought that you were a nice person. My dad read it and I don't think he really cared at all it takes a lot to convince him but my mom. Anyway thanks for the bio it really helped a lot more then I expected.

I said "if worst comes to worst", jdi. That means, if he really didn't think he would win anyway he looked at it. I seem to recall a similar incident with another member earlier, newman I think it was. I do have an idea though, why don't you invite your dad to a scrim to see what it's like, but be sure to tell them to be on decent behavior while your old man is there. I have a question, are your parents anti-military?

I realize what you said, and what you meant by it, but even if it seems like there's no hope, there always is because people will always change their minds in one way or another. Insulting your parnets, or anyone else for that matter, to get what you want is just dumb. How will that possibly help the situation? It would just make them not want to let you play airsoft even more.

Alex, nope, I've played Airsoft since August with no hitches. My parents are fine with it, heck, they let guys I've only met twice before drive me to far away places! ;D

No, no, it's not a tactic to get what you want. It's just something to vent one's frustration. The only good thing that could possibly come from it is to make them reconsider and/or question thier motives for such an action, thereby moving them closer to an opposite oppinion of the hobby. If exploited properly, it COULD in all possibility get you what you want, but not before some long and tedious psychological manipulation(sp?). Somehow I don't think that dice has the patience for that, I've used it before, but not to that extreme. A piece of advice, dice, if you do get into a spot that you have to use said tactic, remember the more extreme you go, the longer the house arrest and manipulation period you have to endure.

Although, you're probably not talking about us, you met me once before last sunday, and Ann Arbor's not that far away. My parent's were pretty nervous when i wanted to go over to your house for our first NSAG skirmish, especially when she saw you all dressed up in camo, don't ask me why.
