WMI C.Q.B. Rec game Sunday November 19thIt’s finally time, game starts at 10am and runs until early evening, cost is 25 Dollars. Mixed game play for the day, indoor and outdoor play so dress for the weather, we will have a heated staging area. The building has no running water so please bring your own water or sports drink. 12 years up welcome, but all 12 and 13 year old must have a parent or guardian present. Also all players 12 years to 16 years old must have their faces covered at all times, either a paintball mask or Balaklava or recon rap. I would suggest this to everyone, because the chance of being shot from point blank range is very high. All MIA rules will be in affect with the following exceptions, No gun that shoots over 350 fps using .2 gram bbs will be allowed in the building no exceptions, those who try to use a hot guns in this building will be asked to leave. Blind firing will not be tolerated, if you can’t see what your shooting at, then don’t shoot. If any one is caught blind firing they will be asked to leave. These rules are here for every ones safety.
The address is, 235 West Bridge St, Lyons MI 48851
I96 westbound - Exit #73 (Grand River Exit) - Right/East on Grand River Avenue - Left/North on Keefer Hwy for about 6 miles - Keefer will turn into Libhart, and Libhart will turn into Bridge (you will never have to turn once you're on Keefer Hwy). The building will be on your left-hand side on the corner of Bridge and Edward. If you go over the Grand River, you just passed it.
I96 eastbound - Exit #73 (Lyons/Muir Exit) - Left/North which will make you go under I96 - Right/East on Grand River Avenue - Left/North on Keefer Hwy for about 6 miles - Keefer will turn into Libhart, and Libhart will turn into Bridge (you will never have to turn once you're on Keefer Hwy). The building will be on your left-hand side on the corner of Bridge and Edward. If you go over the Grand River, you just passed it.
Gear that I would suggest for the facility, good pair of boots, gloves are a must, some soft of face covering, anti fog for your goggles, kneepads, and a flash light. The items listed are not mandatory but highly suggested.
Remember that the longevity of this C.Q.B. facility is up to you guys, as long as we can pay the bills we will continue to play there.
Rec games will be on a rotating weekend schedule, this weekend it’s on a Sunday next weekend it will be on a Saturday and so on. If any one has any questions please feel free to email me at jmohn@wmiairsoft.com or by calling my store cell line at 616 322-3325.
I look forward to seeing every one come out and have a good time.

Hmm, 2.5 times more expensive than playing at the traditional field... A dilemma presents itself...

The reason for the higher cost, rent and electricity, plus we will be playing on ten times the size of field. For those of you that have been their before, we have even more access to the place then before, also even more bunkers, for those of you who never had the chance, well you will realize after you have been there.

$25 is a very reasonable price. I will be attending every single opportunity i get to. I will be there for the opening day and I hope turnouts exceed what it cost to rent this place. Please show your support people, WMI is doing this for us, offering a great place to play and have fun.

Yeah $25 dollars is cheap as hell for an in-door game. Anyone can go play in the woods. How many people do you know with access to big buildings though 21st charges I think $50 for there in-door events they do. $25 is super cheap. I see no dilemma what so ever. I plan to be there for the first game for sure. That is, if I can find a gun. My PTW is shooting 399~405 FPS. I sold off all my other guns but a G36C and its not put together.

Speaking from experience, a pistol and a couple of extra magazines is all you really need. If you have that, then you're ready to tackle just about any "tactical" problem presented inside that building. I can't remember even one time feeling that I was outgunned by someone with an AEG.
What's different about the building, is that all those long distance shots made on a moving target with a volume of bb's are moot. They seldom occur, because the distances to cover are inches to feet, not feet to yards. "Kills" in the building are often made by outwitting your opponent and defeating his cover through rapid movement, covering fire (when available), and accurate fire... not by volume.
With the relatively mild weather we've been experiencing lately the inside temp shouldn't be outrageously low yet, which means that gas guns will work perfectly.

Yep, I have a couple pistols setup for CQB, I still prefer something like the MP5 or a shortened M4.

My apologies, while I certainly would like the price to be less, I am thrilled to have an indoor facility. That being said, I've been to indoor paintball arenas with $15 entry fees, and I wish that that could be replicated here.
However, as that is unlikely to happen, I can only voice my elation at having a whole building devoted to airsoft.
I will be there!

Paintball is a more commercialized sport also. Indoor Paintball arenas normally hold more then one game a week and have a higher player volume also thus making the operators more money to cover expenses etc.

Not only that, ( the price difference ) when you play on a indoor paint ball field for 15.00 your gonna leave covered in fish oil, and you spend a lot of time on your ass due to slipping around EVERY place.
So while I do understand your comparison to paint ball indoor field prices you will NEVER come across a field dedicated solely to AIRSOFT.
So you really cant complain. Plus once you play there you'll never want to go to a stinking slick gross ass paintball indoor field again.

I remember the first game I went to at Hole In the Wall Paintball and it sucked. I ran and hid behind the jail looking thing and I leaned up against the wall tight, when I went to move I heard this sucking sound like a foot stuck in mud, I was stuck to the wall I have nothing else to say

I was helping Wildcard set up the CQB facility over the weekend, and I can tell you that it is going to be an awesome place to play in. The play is super fast and wild once you engage in combat, so if you have issues with your panties getting in a knot, I suggest you either stick to the more wide open areas or don't play, because if you can't take getting shot at close range repeatedly, you might have a bad day. Now, that being said, if you're tough enough to handle it, you're going to have such an awesome time you'll never wanna leave. I just wish I didn't have to work Sunday, because if enough people show up, it'll be an incredible game.
