I'm looking at the website for this weekly event. I'm from the Detroit area and I don't know where this place is located. Could someone please post an address on the www.cra-eastcoastairsoft.com/MIECA.html website? Also, looking at the rules. I'm curious, the rules state "The minimum engagement distance is 20ft for guns shooting up to 420fps and 50ft for sniper rifles shooting 550fps." Does this mean all CQB is limited to 20ft? Or does the MIA rules apply here? And for snipers "Bolt action snipers rifles will be set to a field max of 550 FPS, using .25 BB’s." Can we say HOT? Has anyone considered the joules produced? 550fps w/ .25bb = 3.51J 550fps w/ .20bb =2.81J 420fps w/ .20bb =1.64J Wow what a difference! May I suggest for satefy concerns that a max of 550fps be used with a .20g bb. I'm only making a suggestion (please no flames), I realize this isn't my event and it's beyond my control. I'd just hate to see someone get hurt with a 3+ joule bb flying at them. This in reply to your post "Also, looking at the rules. Or does the MIA rules apply here?" Yes all engagement for AEGs shotting up to 420FPS have a min engagement range of 20ft. after this it becomes the "call it/Surrender" rule. as for snipers this has been change to a min engagement range of 80ft with up 550FPS and yes all sniper rilfes will be using the .20 bb's and no MIA rules do not apply here, the rules are set by ECA (east coast airsoft). As for CQB, this is as of right now more of a wooded play are. we will have more buildings up after the 1st of Nov. This is being used to see how many players this field can take. But there will be a lot of defensive bunkers through out the area. All bb's used at this will be .20 or lower. nothing over .20 Thanks for your concerns and comments

I've got a sniper rifle thats dialed in with .36 bbs. If I were to attend would you suggest not bringing it due to the bb being over .2 grams?
Thanks

Im not totaly sure. I've got a CA M24 with a 300% upgrade kit. According to the upgrade company it should be somewhere around 500 fps with the .2s and maybe the mid to high 300s with the .36s.

A far comparison is the joule ratio. 500fps w/ .20g = 2.32J 380fps w/ .36g = 2.42J (using 380 as a mid to high average) Since the joules are close within .10 of each other... I think you may be fine with your spring using .20g bb's. (Note: this is only an assumption and not based on your actual FPS since your FPS can not be verify a estimated FPS was used based on your comments. )

Here are the FPS reg for this field and for all Military Op's Airsoft play
There will be no AEG shooting over 420FPS. if this is a AEG that has full auto.
Any sniper type rifle or Semi-auto rifle will be form 425FPS to 500FPS.
The only min engagement rage is for AEG is 20 FT. if you are using a Sniper rifle your min engagement range is 50ft. if you are under the 20ft min engagement range you need to call "freeze or call it" as for the sniper you must wait or switch to your secondary weapon. This is a SAFETY thing. remember SAFETY first not last.

if you head over to the website then click into the MOA events, go to the Operation Snow Bound page and you will see some of the pics, that are very old and dont give the field justice.
as for terrain you are plaing on about 13-15 acers of woodland and some cleared areas. along with many bunkers built through out the field.
thanks on the price thing i try to keep it low.

okay here im going to answer a few different questions here.
1.do you guys have running water and power outlets........also will you have bb's and such things for sale? Yes we have running water and outlets as for charging your batterys, we do have a quick charger so that it gets charged faster. there will be bb's for sale, as of right now.
2.how many people are expected to come? and i dont get the 7th and 8th are you playing on both days and if so does the five dollars cover both days? Well it looks like quite a few people are going to be coming here to play, and yes there will be play on both days. the 5.00 covers a player for one day not both...sorry
3. And will there be games there during the winter? yes we will be having games during the winter and if you like the pics you saw on the website. the field has changed even more.
