Does anyone have any personal experience with these replica EOTechs? I want one, but I don't want to spend $200 on one if they aren't all that good.

They are a red dot sight made to look like an EOTech, you can buy a better red dot for much less that is made for real steel if you look around. That is unless you like the look of the EOTech more than you care about the function.

Yeah, I've got a Aimpoint and an ACOG, but I just like the look of the EOTech and I was wondering, from a quality standpoint, if they're worth buying.

I personally don't have any experience, but because of their price, and the reputation actual EOtechs get, I'd just save up and get the real deal. Even without experience, I'd be willing to bet the replica isn't nearly as good as the real deal, and really, it's not that much more expensive to find a used real one, or even buy a new one, opposed to buying the replica.

wait, the replica is 200 bucks?? and its just a red dot as a recticle? f*** that man, just some more and get a real one. plus the recticle is cooler than just a dot. chris, ive got a real one if you want to check it out some sunday. they are by far the best reflex sight on the planet! absolutly amazing. i hate to sound like a prick but im kinda pissed that they are making a replica of it. i have no idea why im mad about it though? *if anybody is a psychatrist please step in and tell me wtf is wrong with me!* its really wierd. anyway, im sure it would be a decent product but im just too bias and too much of a traditionalist when it comes to optics i guess.

No it is a reticule, it looks and acts like a real Eotech. A couple of guys had them at takedown.

you can also wait and see how the Laylax Eotech replica turns out, since it can also store your AEG's battery.

I thought that Laylax one wasn't functional and it just stored the battery? I don't know. But it is a reticle, not just a red dot. I'm hopefully going to be able to use Ben's, which would be sweet to actually try out a real one.

For about a hundred bucks more you can have a REAL one. If you're willing to spend that much I'd just go all the way.
If you wanted, for around 225-ish you could get the Bushnell holosight that looks just like an Eotech and it's also made for Real Steel so the quality will be better than the Hurricane.
I got an Eotech 510 for christmas, it's cool as shit. You won't be dissapointed if you get one. I just wouldn't spend 200 on replica optics.. That's a tad much.

i almost bought the Bushnell one. the thing is a lot longer than the EOTech (other than the one that uses AA batteries) and the lense is so much smaller

pearl, you are talking about the xtc holosight, they also make the ones just like the eotechs without the metal cover.
